PAX Online, a virtual event replacing both PAX Australia and PAX West due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, is set to go live from September 12-20. For the event’s first day, Borderlands 3 creator Gearbox Software has teased some sort of announcement related to the Borderlands franchise.

Starting on September 12 at 12:45 PM PT / 3:45 PM ET, Gearbox will unveil “what’s coming next” in Borderlands and from its publishing division, Gearbox Publishing. It’s unclear how long the broadcast, titled the Gearbox Digital Showcase, will last or what specific announcements will be made. In either case, you can watch the presentation on Gearbox’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.

Before the Gearbox Digital Showcase goes live, though, the company will launch Borderlands 3’s next DLC on September 10. Titled Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck, the new DLC will also increase the level cap again, add more mini-events leading up to its launch, and introduce new gear, among other things.

Journey into the mind of Borderland 2’s Krieg.

Gearbox has been teasing the next Borderlands 3 DLC featuring the Psycho character Krieg, and now has officially announced it. Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck will launch on September 10 and includes a free level cap increase for all players.

The DLC has Patricia Tannis testing a theory that Psychos were driven mad by the knowledge of the mythical “Vaulthalla,” and the key is in the mind of Krieg. So she sends in the Vault Hunters to investigate. A launch trailer shows the interior of Krieg’s psyche, with all the chaos you may expect from such a premise. The announcement promises that exploring Krieg’s mind will ultimately lead to the treasures of Vaulthalla, so you can certainly expect to go home with some loot.

The trailer also includes an unexpected appearance from Maya, which the announcement notes is a product of seeing the world through Krieg’s eyes and perceiving characters like Maya as he does. You’ll be able to claim loot like Vault Hunter heads and skins and, of course, new guns, all of which are usable outside of Krieg’s brain.

Best Buy’s new anniversary sale has kicked off, and this one goes all weekend. From now until Sunday, August 16, you can snag a number of great deals on games for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One as well as Switch accessories, iPads, and MacBook Pros. Many of the deals come with free shipping and can arrive as early as next week.

For games, the Nintendo Switch sees a number of its best exclusives on sale. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are $50 each, as are Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! Discounted PS4 exclusives include Final Fantasy VII Remake for $40, Death Stranding for $20, and Nioh 2 for $20, while the Xbox One’s first-party games see discounts as well. You can snag Gears 5 for $28 and Forza Horizon 4 for $38.

A number of multiplatform games are also discounted, including Borderlands 3 for $15, Control for $32, and the recently released Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath Kollection for $40. Control is an excellent game to jump into right now, especially with the upcoming Alan Wake expansion on the horizon. The Aftermath Collection is a great deal as well, as it includes Mortal Kombat 11, all of its DLC fighters, and the new Aftermath expansion, which adds on to the base game’s story.
