Today we are going to be going over boss battles and what kind of bosses and enemies I think would make for some memorable and exciting boss battles in the game.

CD Projekt Red did an amazing job on boss battles for The Witcher 3 and there’s so much potential and possibilities for some awesome designs in a brand new setting and world.

The first kind of boss battle I’d love to see is going to be a corporate or media higher up. We know in the world of Cyberpunk Media and megacorps run the city with their corruption and oppression so I think it would be very natural to have a media kingpin as a boss battle. If you guys remember Bob Barbas from the Devil May Cry reboot game 5 or so years ago, I think something similar would fit in really well in Cyberpunk.

The next kind of boss battle that I think would be really awesome to see in the game would be to fight a spider tank like at the end of the 1995 anime Ghost In The Shell. Spider tanks and heavily fortified military exo-skeletons would make for something a bit more large scale and maybe could require the use of heavier weapons.

The next kind of fight I’d like to see would be a boss battle during a car chase. Your character could be being tailed by a Militech cruiser or aerodyne and you’d have to balance driving with hanging out the window and firing at enemies or a boss following you at high speeds across Night City’s vast highway infrastructure. If they have this and pull it off it would feel like it would be straight out of an action movie.

Another boss battle that would be a nice addition would be something a little more humourous. The cyberpunk genre has mixed brutality and oppression with tongue in cheek humor in the past and it seems like Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of potential to follow this route. In the E3 demo one of the gang leaders names was even Dumb Dumb just for some sort of comedic relief. In this same vein I’d love to see some kitted out old and frail Grandma holding a machine gun twice her size.

She could even be heavily augmented and be the stereotypical “crazy cat lady” with android cats as mini – bosses alongside her.

The next one would have to take place in a nightclub pushing people aside to find a sneaky illegal reflex or augmentation dealer. You’d have to make your way through the club and find him and execute him silently whilst not dispersing the people around you or scaring them off with gunfire. Maybe you find him in a graffiti’d out bathroom stall and a classic hand to hand combat action movie sequence can take place.
