Last week’s Summer Game Fest kick-off show revealed Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, a Borderlands spin-off that swaps the usual sci-fi themes of that universe for a more fantasy-influenced experience. The first trailer for Wonderlands wasted no time in confirming that Tiny Tina is embarking on a fantasy-fueled adventure, and over on Twitter, Gearbox CEO and Lord of the Rings fan Randy Pitchford has posted a few more screenshots of the game.

They’re exactly what you expect from a series that has ventured into the fantasy realm before, with Pitchford teasing spooky dungeons, dragons, and skeleton warriors. The overall aesthetic is in line with Borderlands 3, which got a next-gen upgrade on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S when those consoles launched.

If you like what you’re seeing above and you wish that you could bring Wonderlands into your home, the good news is the game will be supported by a range of consumer products, as Gearbox and 2K Games have inked a deal with Retail Monster to “lead the global retailer and consumer products strategy” around the game.

If you’re looking for a decent challenge and a chance to earn rare loot in Borderlands 3, you can currently try your luck in the game’s True Trials event, which pits Vault Hunters against new versions of familiar bosses. Just like the Trial of Cunning boss, the Trial of Discipline boss has received a massive boost to its health and will be dishing out some punishing offense as its damage stats have received a similar buff.

Taking down the Trial of Discipline boss won’t be easy, but the rewards are worth the risk as players can earn a Legendary weapon from the base Borderlands 3 game and its third expansion, Bounty of Blood. While you’ll be able to add that DLC weapon to your collection, you won’t be able to equip it unless you own the expansion. The chest at the end of the Trial of Discipline will also be full of Legendary-class weapons, regardless of how quickly you completed the challenge or how many objectives you scored.

Gearbox said in a blog post that this hotfix will go live from 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET on all platforms. To apply these changes, wait at the main menu until you see a sign that reads, “Hotfixes Applied!”

Not quite ‘for the players’, is it.

Borderlands 3’s latest hotfix is now live, activating the True Trials event for the Trial of Cunning. As part of this update, both the health and attack of the Trial of Cunning boss have been massively increased, raising the trial’s difficulty significantly. While the challenge might be an exciting prospect to some, the official Gearbox blog post warns new players to “beware,” as the mini-event cannot be turned off and will remain live until May 27.

As a reward for undertaking this challenge, the Trial of Cunning boss will drop two Legendary weapons upon defeat, with each drop having a chance of being either the Sickle or Skullmasher from the Gun, Love, and Tentacles add-on. However, while these weapons will drop for all players, the blog post reminds players that only those who have purchased the add-on will be able to equip the Skullmasher to their character. In addition to these improved drops, the chest at the end of the Trial of Cunning will now be full of legendary loot regardless of how quickly you complete it or the number of objectives you scored.

This hotfix is part of the larger True Trials event, which began May 13 and is running until July 1. The event adds six weeks of challenging content to the game, in which one of the Proving Grounds map bosses will get dramatically buffed each week. If you can best these baddies, each boss drops some legendary loot for your troubles, with one weapon selected from the base game’s loot pool and the other coming from one of Borderland 3‘s six add-ons. Last week, the Trial of Survival was the one to take on, with players earning The Lob and some Lucky 7 legendary weapons for doing so. However, due to the True Trial shifting over to the Trial of Cunning, the event is now closed.

The PS5 doesn’t have a dedicated, automatic system for upgrading PS4 games to the current generation like Xbox does with Smart Delivery, but it does still support upgrades on a whole bunch of PlayStation games. Many of these upgrades are completely free, requiring you to only claim the digital PS5 version from the PlayStation Store, while a few others have a small fee or another stipulation. Borderlands 3 is almost constantly on sale for a low price somewhere, but Best Buy’s current deal is the most enticing we’ve seen yet. PlayStation and Xbox copies of Borderlands 3 are slashed to only $10 right now. On top of the low price, you will also get a free steelbook case, which happens to be valued at $10.

This deal is specifically for the standard edition of Borderlands 3, so you won’t get any of the post-launch paid DLC. But if you haven’t checked out Borderlands 3 yet, this is definitely a great opportunity to try it for cheap. The free steelbook case is the cherry on top.

That’s a lot of V-bucks.

Spoilers ahead.

PlayStation Now has been one of the only ways to play many PlayStation classics on modern hardware, but the streaming service has been disappointingly limited to just 720p since its launch. That’s changing soon, as Sony starts rolling out 1080p support across all PlayStation Now regions.

Sony has announced that during the following weeks it will start supporting 1080p streaming for games on PlayStation Now that support it. This will be especially important for many PS4 titles on the service, including Horizon Zero Dawn, Borderlands 3, and Marvel’s Avengers. This only applies to games that you stream–any PS4 titles that you can download will still support the same resolutions as digital or disc versions.

The update will roll out across all regions, which includes the US, Europe, Japan, and Canada. Sony didn’t take the opportunity to announce any additional regions for the service.
