Cyberpunk 2077 – Developers Answer YOUR Questions!
Cyberpunk 2077 Will Release In 2019? (Reasons Why!) – https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=GfrwSG9sGyw
Today we are going to be going over some developer answers to some of the big Cyberpunk 2077 questions that have been circulating for a while now.
The first question is “Will there be a demo at Gamescom”
Marcin Momot responded to this one early last month saying “I would like to point out that we never said anything about this. We really appreciate your enthusiasm to see the game and believe me, we would like to share it as soon as possible, but its still a work in progress. Once we are ready to reveal it to a wider audience, we will”
Now CD Projekt Red has repeatedly said this but there is a voice interview I want to touch on a bit that might give us a little hint that Gamescom will reveal more about Cyberpunk. In an interview with Kotaku when asked about the next step after E3, co-founder of CD Projekt Red Marcin Iwinski said that “We still have gamescom.” And in regards to a potential demo that “It will be the same. Don’t expect a totally new demo, we want to show off something different maybe a different angle”. Here’s an audio snippet of that.
I don’t know if it’s just me but the tone and the way that he says this makes me believe we’ll get to see atleast a chunk of that demo, and gamescom will be the first time we see gameplay. It is one of the biggest gaming and techn conventions next to E3, its European based just like CDPR is, and I think it would be a smart move on their part.
Next question is “Was the press demo live or just a pre-set script”
Kyle Rowley responded to this one on June 18thsaying “The game was being played live – trust me. We had a few issues that meant we had to retart the build mid-demo”
Now this kind of inadvertently leads to a little bit of information confliction. One one hand it’s a live demo meaning that they are confident in their product to not run a pre-scripted and recorded gameplay. On the other hand it still has kinks and bugs to be worked out, and it is an early mission in the game, which means there’s still a lot of work to be done.
