Cyberpunk 2077 – Night Clubs, Bars & Alcohol! (Lore!)

In Today’s Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk lore video we are diving into the bars and clubs in night city, with ones that are present in the world of 2077 and some of the bars and clubs that originate in the source material and their elaborate backstories. We are also going to touch on some of the alcoholic beverages and types of alcohol being served in these dingy dark watering holes.

Bars and Clubs are both places that are prominent in the world of Night City, from mercenary, soldier and fixer frequented locations to strip joints to non stop neon raves.

Most restaraunts, bars and nightclubs are licenced to serve legal beverages, poppers, sniffers, crystals and brainstims during business hour. The legal age of indulgence in Night City is 18 with IdentiCard proof.

First lets look at the drinks served in the bars of Night City.

First we have the Silverhand which is a shot of vodka mixed with brandy and a few drops of superfuel of the future CHOOH2, as they call it in the 2077 demo.

The Nomad Specialist is Jack Daniels with a greay nut thrown in to add that “metallic” taste nomads are so fond of.

The Killer is a popular drink among the Corpzoner set. The purchaser of the drink is given 5 small metal hoops to toss at a lineup of drinks behind the bar. The barkeep mixes all the ones hooped into one lethal concoction.

The Night City is only served in some of the more “unwholesome” bars within City limits. It’s a mixture of tequila, raw wood alcohol, and several drops of turpentine garnished with a dead worm.

The blood razor is named after the infamous gang and is a mixture of red wine, brandy, red food coloring and cherry soda. It’s garnished with a chicken bone and looks like human blood.

The Armageddon is one of the deadliest drink on tap at the moment and is only served at the Totentanz.

The braindance is Popular among edgerunners. the Braindance is a mixture of raw alcohol and citrus juices.

The SoCal special is a mixture that is 90% water and 10% anything else.

The sea breeze is A non-fatal, pleasant mixture of white wine and a bit of lemon juice.

The ripper is a hard liquor drink that is popular around Rockers and Chromers.

The Euro is a drink imported from France, and is gaining popularity with the corporate rich.

The first bar we have is Club Atlantis which was actually featured in the E3 2018 Cyberpunk 2077 booth. This club is the favorite hangout for corpzoners and street soldiers between assignments.

The Afterlife is a bar heavily referenced in Cyberpunk 2077. It has three different ares in the Antechamber, The Crypt and Hades which are all inhabited by the most hardened solos.

Next is the Hacienda located in the Charter hill district, which is a small section of the city between the crowded streets of Little China and the sludge-slicked waters of Del Coronado Bay.

On the top three floors of the Burleson Tower in City Centre is the Totentanz a poorly supervised club where Boostergangs members tend to hang out in.

The Grand Illusion is one of the most popular rock clubs on the West coast. If features 3 bars and a dance floor.

Hababas is in the same Night City district and was a respectable biker bar, but is now the favorite spot for the Voodoboys.

L’etranger located in the corporate centre is a fancy bar with a continental European theme, frequented by white collar security and late night grinder corporate up and comers.

Next we have The Slammer. From modest beginnings as a punk rock club, The Slammer has become so popular that it has expanded drastically over the years. The arena is the main attraction of the bar and is used to settle disputes between gangs free of charge.

Next we have the Metalstrom club. This club caters to the most extreme chromatic rock tastest and blends a concert hall with a rock bar.

Next we have Café Chrome, a bar with 50’s décor where Corporates come to discuss business during the day, and rocker crowds and young adults come to party at night.

The Night Owl is a bar located at the top of the Bay Bridge Resiential Hotel. It is one of the only bars that never closes.

The Short Circuit is a netrunner bar located in the Barbican Building. It has a rotating floor allowing its patrons to see the city below.

We also have the Black hole which is technically not in Night City but instead in Earths Orbit on the Crystal Palace orbital habitat.

Next we have the Forlorn Hope which is a bar located inbetween Night City’s Downtown and the combat Zone.

Below Deck is our first 2077 exclusive club on the list and is referenced as an under-water themed club in Night City that was opened in a former aquarium.

Finally we have Riot.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – CD PROJEKT RED Store, 2077 Merch & Quest Failure!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news and new details we are talking about the launch of a New CD PROJEKT RED Store and Cyberpunk 2077 Merch, a Gamestar article about game over and fail states and how quests will unfold, some small details about V’s apartment customizability when it comes to music, and some countdown to the dark future details.

First up in this weeks Cyberpunk 2077 news is straight from the developer CD PROJEKT RED. It’s been known for a while now that they have been looking to release a merchandise store in 2019, and even had a brief session of polling the community to see what they would like to see. It seems like they’ve finally make some big moves here with the CD PROJEKT RED merchandise store being released in the coming weeks due to this tweet. In the tweet they state “we’ve been waiting for april fools to be over to share this good news – were opening a CD PROJEKT RED store in the following weeks, keep your eyes open”.

Now some people thought this was a potential launcher to compete with epic launcher and steam launcher, but CD PROEJKT already owns GOG.com and they clarified in a tweet right after that it is infact a merchandise store.

Next up we have some details about how quests will unfold and what the stupidest thing a player could do within a mission or quest. This comes via GameStar magazine. The translation is a little bit shaky here, but as I read it, means that a game over screen is only possible if your character dies. If over the course of a mission you make a rash or poor decision, there will not be a fail state for that particular mission and you will have to live with the decisions you make, however good or bad they may be.

Next we have some details about visting bars and entering shops and some customizability when it comes to V’s apartment. In a response to this tweet asking if we can get custom music insode v’s apartment or house the Cyberpunk twitter quickly shuts this down. In the gameplay demo we were treated to chippin in from Johnny Silverhand via Stanley Media radio, so maybe we can choose the radio station itself, but have no custom or imported music for our home bases. The next question asked is if we can do pointless but immersive actions like sitting in a bar and drinking, or entering various shops and entertainment places. Cyberpunk 2077 responds with that is a cool idea, youll have to wait and see.

Finally we have some countdown to the dark future details where we highlight things from RTalsorians cyberpunk lore series that may be featured in Cyberpunk 2077.

In episode 86 we hear about Susan Forrest a North Californian State Exuctioner. In the dark future criminals sented to death do not come to their demise peacefully and await execution. Most states have a combat ready executioner and in NorthCal, a former Max Tac officer names Susan Forrest is that executioner.

In episode 89 We learn about China Dahl a renegade Photojournalist. China grew up under the finger of the Corporates, and born into a wageslave family. China saw part the brainwashing and saw past the death grip of the corporations.

In Episode 90 we learn about Pixie a Daemon Programmer. A child prodigy in France with hopes of climbing the corporate ladder, she found herself attracted to the thrill of the net. She spent 2 years as a freelance netrunner until she created an assistance program to create Daemons, a low level AI and virus which is useful in infiltrating systems.
