3 NEW Cyberpunk Games Coming In 2019 & 2020!
3 exciting NEW Cyberpunk games are coming out by 2020 which have the potential to gather a strong niche following. All these games seem to want to accomplish different things within this niche genre, so there’s likely something in here for you if you are a fan of Cyberpunk.
First let’s start off with the most story driven title in our list with Gamedec. Which is being created by a Polish team called Anshar Studios, responsible for the Observer Switch port and Telefrag VR amongst other titles and is based on a novel by Marcin Pryzbylek aka Martin Ann. Gamedec is an adaptive cyberpunk RPG, where you play a detective also known as a Gamedec solving crimes inside virtual worlds. This begs the question of what choices you will make in a world where child slavery is a F2P game, or murders over a game-clan dispute is an everyday reality. There’s also a board game based on this universe which offers a more in-depth definition of the world.
Near the end of the XXII century games are called “sensory worlds” and the outsider world is called “realium”. There are thousands of games – virtual spaces, in which people willingly spend time… or their entire life. A shadow looms over this digital utopia in the form of hacker attacks. The only ones able to defend the sensory worlds are Gamedecs: hardboiled private detectives specializing in the mysteries of the virtual worlds.
The novels its based on are written in Polish, and it is a continuing series spanning 8 books thus far, so if you are interested there’s also that way of learning about Gamedec’s world and story. The story structure is so RPG centric that the interactions in the game were played out in pen and paper format by the developers before implementation.
Next, we have Ghostrunner a hack and slash fast paced Cyberpunk game with an emphasis on challenging combat. In Ghostrunner you enter an intense cyberpunk world to ascend humanity’s last remaining shelter, a great tower city. The tower is torn by violence, poverty and chaos, and its your job to conquer your enemies, discover the secrets of the superstructure and your own origin and obtain the power to challenge the Keymaster.
The game takes place in the future, where the remains of humanity live in this tower built by The Architect. This world is now ruled by the Keymaster where your worth and social class depends on the implants you have. You can fight in both the physical world and cyberspace and as you climb higher in the tower you reveal the structure that houses humanity’s last hope.
Ghostrunner focuses on Melee combat, and a one hit kill mechanic, but will be unforgiving when it comes to difficulty which will test your problem-solving abilities as well as your reflexes. Queuing up slow motion is also a big feature of the gameplay and will be necessary to effectively complete harder areas. This difficulty can also scale based on the archetypes of enemies on the screen as well as their numbers.
Next, we have URAGONER, which falls into the free to play turn based adult Cyberpunk RPG genre that mixes corporate management with lewd extracurricular relaxation.
Uragoner takes place in 2069, of course it does, where megacorporations control everyday life. You play as an administrator for Uragon corp, that hires “custodians” which are your companions to carry out combat missions in the field. Your mercenaries can be customized for the streets or for the sheets if you know what I mean, and there is an inventory and management system where you can grow your corporation.
The game will have a character creator, but the dating sim elements is a big focus with your relations with your companions in and out of missions heavily affecting your progress and path. Hooking up with your companions is a big element and you can choose a variety of dialogue choices when it comes initiating bedroom escapades, which also builds repor with your companions.

Cyberpunk 2077 – The Age Of The Red Lore! (2020 – 2045!)
In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk Red Lore video we’ll be going over the state of Night City and the world after the events of the 4th Corporate war, and the culmination of Cyberpunk 2020 and what has happened pre Cyberpunk 2077 in the time period of 2020 – 2045. If you don’t have a good grasp on the events that have led up to Red, I suggest either reading Cyberpunk 2020, or watching some of the Night City history lore videos on the channel, or on The Madqueen’s channel to get caught up to speed.
Night City was inhabitable within 24 hours after the Nuke went off at around 1200 feet in the Arasaka towers. Many augmentations or filters installed in the bodies of the general populace meant that the people themselves had largely weathered the effects, but the city was a different story.
The period of rebuilding between 2040-2045 was largely on the shoulders of outsourced Edgerunners and Nomad packs such as the Aldecaldo clan.
Clearing the wreckage was a monumental task though, and tanks shoveled debris into the Bay.
The effects of this event affected specific districts and areas within Night City differently.
Suburbs are overpacked with tent cities and refugee camps filled with people hit hardest by the fallout. Megabuildings are under construction at this time to address the huge populations that are swallowed by crime and overcrowding.
Nomad families now have a bigger presence in the Cyberpunk landscape during the Time of the red. With the Night City and surrounding area largely being under construction and Nomadic packs being well versed in trade routes and commerce, they are integral to Night Cities’ reconstruction.
Gigantic megabuildings are the focus in the Time of the red, which not only house massive amounts of people, but will contain entertainment, food courts, shopping malls and central hubs
Politically Night City is all over the place.
In the time of the red, the Net as we know it today is essentially the digital wild wild west. Mastermind netrunner Rache Bartmoss had released the RABIDS a debilitating mass spread virus, leading to the DATAKRASH. Netwatch, the global police of the net have tried to ban netrunners from accessing the net and net traffic is now localized to individual buildings or campuses to keep everything running smoothly.
Law enforcement post 4th corporate war and the fall of the towers were pretty dodgy. Because of limited law enforcement units, bribery was common and corruption standard in who Law enforcement looks after.
From the old Night City police departments, only one has stood the test of time which is the MAX TAC or Psycho Squad.
Law and order in the time of red can also be classified into security services, corporate security, personal bodyguards, and more freelance police.
