Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – The MAIN Megacorporations! (Kang Tao, Arasaka, Militech, NightCorp & More!)

The mysterious NightCorp, the indominable Arasaka, the powerhouse Militech, the new kids on the block Kang Tao, the paramedical giant Trauma Team International, the renowned & established Kendachi, the optics king Kiroshi, and the ever present Zetatech are at the top of the corporate food-chain in Cyberpunk 2077. Let’s find out more about them as well as exactly what they are offering and how they are offering it that makes them unstoppable forces in 2077.

Megacorporations in the Cyberpunk age are massive entities, far beyond our modern day 21st century definitions. They operate on the same scale as small nations and rival and many times supersede governments in terms of power, size and scale. They dominate a wide variety of industries from agriculture to the media, to weapons and security technologies.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – Cyberware & Cyberware Generations! (0 – 4!)

Cyberware was created as the next logical step to medical prostheses. Replacing missing limbs, replacing organs and augmenting the spine as a result of body trauma led to the development of not only replacements for these different parts of the human anatomy, but also improvements.

What is going on Neon Nation and welcome back for some Cyberpunk 2077 lore on Cyberware, a brief history on augmentations, and the various generations developed through the years!

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – The Districts & Sub-Districts Of Night City!

Night city is distributed into 6 main districts which houses a myriad of different sub districts within these larger all encompassing ones. We have Watson, Westbrook, City Centre, Heywood, Santo Domingo and Pacifica as the main ones covering the most land-mass in the city, with the surrounding Badlands if you want to consider that a district.

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 lore we are talking about all the districts in Night City as well as the subdistricts, what and who you can find in these districts, as well as all the details that are unique to each of night cities vibrant locations!

Cyberpunk 2077 News – MORE Customization, Skills, Perk & CC Details, Valentinos & New Weapons!

New perks and skills, some new screenshots of the Valentinos, new weapon manufacturers and some sexually explicit weaponry, some hints via Xbox on a 2077 related release possibly the next episode of Night City Wire, some more District lore featuring the bustling City Centre, and a few other details I think you are going to want to check out all in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News and information video!

First up let’s check out some new screenshots from yet another sneak peak of the World of Cyberpunk 2077 Lore book to be released in just around 2 weeks here. We have some brand new images, new weapon manufacturers and some new gang screenshots. On the first page we have my personal favorite element of the bunch the Midnight Lady Accessory cybernetic the taser nipples. Now Midnight lady was a sexual augmentation from the Cyberpunk 2020 source, and we have some details on a related accessory line with the simple slogan of “surprise them.” If you’ve always dreamed of having electric nips, well this is a game for you.

On the next page we have two of the gangs, the Voodooboys and the Valentinos. There is a really cool dreadlock, voodooboy budget Morpheus in the top right with a concept art from the E3 2018 trailer, where in the trailer the V-boys were replaced by Maelstrommers.

On the bottom we have some details about the Valentinos whiuch are not quite legible, and some of their concept are which I know a ton of you are going to be all over. Lots of reds, golds, and crosses with the Valentinos and the guy on the bottom left even seems to have augmented his face to look like a dia de los Muertos skull or even the devil.

On the final page we have some images of the Mox on the top left, which we have seen most recently as well as the adverse effects of what seems to be braindance on the top right. One of the more intriguing elements of this sneap peak comes from the bottom right where we have all the weapon manufacturers in Cyberpunk. We already know about Arasaka who makes the mantis blades amongst a myriad of other items, Militech, Kang Tao whi is famous for the smart rifle, Malorian arms, who makes luxury custom made weaponry, Constituional Arms, as well as Darra and Budget Arms. Being added to the list is Tsunami, which we have covered in a lore video who makes some of the most unique weaponry in the Cyberpunk universe, as well as 4 others, On is a Russian name, the bottom seems to say Rostovic, and above is Nokota. The last one is super hard to tell but might say midnight arms. It’s to be noted Pawel Sasko Lead quest designer mentioned a russsian weapon manufacturer who makes arms strictly for taking on Borgs, which might be who this particular manufacturer is.

Moving on I know a ton of you guys are wondering when the next Night City Wire is, and although Hollie Bennett mentioned a few weeks on the 25th, we still don’t have a concrete date. We have a tweet from Xbox which might indicate a 2077 presence at the Xbox event at the end of the month which falls in line with the couple of weeks mentioned for the next Night City Wire, so we may be seeing Cyberpunk in around 10 days here.

Moving on we have the big kahuna, some amazing details coming from Andre from NightCityLife a german fan site who got some hands on timewith Cyberpunk 2077.

Starting off let’s talk about some of the Character Creator elements that no one else reportet. Amongst the myriad of options Andre mentions that the options for eyes in particular are pretty extensive. You can adjust the color of the iris, how many vessels run in the whites of the eyes, as well as optics and eyeballs with things like heart shapers, skulls, crosses and targets instead of the iris. For those of you who lean more towards dehumanizing your character in terms of augmenting them with a ton of cyberware as you progress in the game, this may be a perfect option for you.

We’ve mentioned pink teeth in prior videos, but no one mentions gold teeth which Andre managed to spot in his playthrough.

I’ve had a ton of question on if V can be a little chubbier or have a bodybuilding physique, or even just be skin and bones, but it seems like due to V being a mercenary, slim or muscular are the only structures we will be allowed to pick for our personal character.

Moving on the attributes will apparently effect dialogue and will open up individual dialogue options. The example given here was that if you have a high tech attribute, you might be able to persuade an IT technician to let you into an office and so one and so forth.

There are 12 skill trees, with Body having 3 branches, reflex having 3, tech hacking two as well as intelligence and cool having two.

Body has trees such as Athletics, Street Brawler and annihilation.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – UNSEEN Gameplay From Polish Event & Tons Of 2077 Lore Revealed!

An unlisted video on the Cyberpunk 2077 YouTube page which reveals some unseen gameplay sections that can be seen in the background footage, an exclusive preview of the Cyberpunk 2077 Lore book and some new 2077 world building details via IGN, New characters being revealed, one who has quite an interesting name, and new district information about Westbrook which seems to be a favorite of the developers all in todays Cyberpunk 2077 News!

First let’s check out some new characters tweeted out by the Cyberpunk 2077 twitter page. First we have Mr Jenkins who is part of the corporate Origin story. Next we have a new character named Mr Goldhand.

Next, lets get into this unlisted video of the Polish Hands on preview event from CDPR.

First we have another look at the braindance scene where Evelyn Parker leader of the Mox is wooing be Yorinobu Arasaka or another Arasaka higher up.

We also get a little tease at the new menu UI in these very brief frames. It cuts out prematurely so we can’t see much but it looks like they’ve gone back to the red deisng versus the brown UI of the deep dive.

At 1:33 we have the Darra handcannon from the Gig Trailer being unloaded into Royce in the Maelstrom lair. This appears to be this area from the Gig trailer, which has since been changed from the 48 minute demo.

Next we also see a updated version of the point from the 48 minute demo where Dum Dum greets you. The visuals are on par with the more recent footage we’ve seen and CDPR has really made the characters look more threatening, with their overall more grimier and dark aesthetic.

We also have a player showcasing a meeting with again Moxy Leader evenlyn parker. We see a prompt with 4 dialogue options as well as a mini map showing a smaller location on the top right, likely the Lizzies Bar. We also follow Evelyn into the bar in a brief sequence later on and talk to her as we sit.

In another super brief segment we have a car driving up to what seems to be some pretty massive buildings at night.

Moving on we have some exclusive new details and screenshots from IGN n their exclusive preview of the upcoming World of Cyberpunk 2077 lore book. We have an introduction page which showcases just where the world stands from the point of view of the Night City Inquirer a media group dedicated to exposing the truths on corporations.

Chapter 2 of the book features all the important facets of cyberware, weapons, vehicles, braindance and netrunning. Helicopters, AVs, cars and trucks, drones, ACPAs or power armor and even speedboats are mentioned when it comes to vehicles. Diving into some straight up 2077 lore about the history of vehicles post 4th corporate war, and the origins of the fuel CHOOH2. Due to global crises, AVs became almost completely absent.

Civilian and military aircrafts took priority, as the petroleum industry’s lack of stability resulted in the innovations of new ways to fuel a vehicle.
Fossil fuels were used once again, although a major breakthrough in 2041 in Europe called induction-wheel tech became the new go to.

In America however, years of research by Biotechnica developed a strain of Triticum vulgaris megasuavias, a type of high sugar wheat which is the main ingredient in CHOOH2, that was resistant to the biovirus that had previously almost wiped it out.

This allowed the production of CHOOH2 to resume, prices to drop, and the resurgence of the AV. In 2077 AVs are a sign of luxury and are used mainly by the upper class, police and military, and the corporations.

Next we have a page on everyone’s favorite subject netrunning and the net. The net pre 4th corporate war was able to store all kinds of data, files and corporate secrets. You’d interact with it using a computer or a cybermoden and an interface, which allowed you to experience the net in 3 dimensions.
In 2077 the Net is no more. It was destroyed by corporate attacks, and the parting gift of one dead man, who isn’t mentioned here but is most likely Rache Bartmoss.

Moving right along we have new concept art and details on the district of Westbrook. In a post CDPR describes it as follows. “Westbrook – Many consider it to be the best place to live and have fun in Night City. It’s where the richest and most influential members of society reside. But it wasn’t always like that. Back in 2023, after the nuclear attack on Arasaka, the part of Westbrook next to the City Center sustained significant damage, turning skyscrapers into ghostly, crooked skeletons for the next 2 decades.

North Oak used to see crime rates that measured higher than any other district, but with the attentive help of mercenaries, order has been well and truly restored. Now, North Oak is home to Night City’s untouchable elite. Today, this is the most beautiful neighborhood in Night City.

Any aspiring and ambitious corpo that cannot afford to live in North Oak lives in Charter Hill.

If you’ve got the eddies you come to Japantown to spend them.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – InfoComp!

InfoComp is an American company which provides a massive library of scientific, technical and personal data pertaining to anyone and any subject. They provide reliable, timely and accurate information to its clients including intelligence, research portfolios and carefully crafted and theorized projections. They are rumored to have the most complete compilation of information in existence and includes video footage, sound recordings, hardcopy texts, CD-ROMs, data chips, magnetic media, photographs and artwork all stored in infocomps vaults. All these different mediums have also been digitized for the modern age, creating the largest single information database.

It is also rumored that Infocomps detectives are the most advanced in the world priding themselves on their ability to compile information in a short period of time. Other megacorps, despite having their own investigative department, still rely on the vital intelligence gathered by Infocomp.
Corporate spies have a huge target on their backs, and naturally only survive mere months in the field, but many of Infocomps operatives have been in the field for almost 10 years.

In addition to compiling new data to order, infocomp also allows clients to access their existing databanks. This data is backed up in many locations but is stored mainly in the computer core at the main office. This information is highly secure due to how many places its backed up in, and just how many organizations rely on it. No one dares touch it and fracturing their intelligence and informational link. Most companies pay a huge monthly subscription in exchange for 24-hour, 7 day a week access.
InfoComp is also involved in the publishing business, with resources like the Info at Hand almanac, and the whole world encyclopedia being their most popular contributions. They also publish a small amount of reference manuals and guides, many times more complete and concise than others within that field or niche.

Few firms exist that can compete with Infocomps size and sophistication, but the occasional street level information broker can sometimes undercut the firm. InfoComp has a positive marketing strategy however and tries to work with these freelance infobros whenever possible, and they consider blood to be a big and unnecessary expense.

When the gang of four which consists of the CIA, FBI, DEA and NSA deteriorated, the US was forced to combine its intelligence services with the beltway bandits, an infamous think-tank service who had for years competed with the gang of four in data compilation charging exorbitant fees.

Radical changes in the world made the data compiled by the bandits obsolete, and the beltway bandits were effectively out of a job. Robert D Alvarez was one of these analysts out of a job and moved out west as a result. He began to formulate an idea for his own think tank corporation and started small with a handful of dedicated employees. Before long, this new start up named InfoComp had regular clients, and in 2006 absorbed Eagle Investigations and EbonTech research to grow into an industry leader.

InfoComp has the ability to find the most obscure pieces of data, but also predicts upcoming events based on trends. Offices are protected by Lazarus trained and equipped security guards. They have also been rumored to maintain a number of intelligence gathering satellites.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – Orbital Air!

Orbital Air is a Megacorporation based out of Nairobi, Kenya that specializes in cargo and passenger transport to lower earth orbit. They have a very favorable position in the world of Cyberpunk in the 21st century.

Advancements in their French-made Hermes space planes has allowed Orbital Air to demand a massive market share within their niche, and they monopolize almost all of the orbital lifting capacity, with the exception of a few governments.

Corporations rely on Orbital Air services to transport cargo worldwide. If it wasn’t for Orbital Air, the Euro Space Agencies Crystal Tower, a massive orbital hotel complex for the ultra-rich would go out of business. With all commercial space bound cargo dependent on Orbital Air, OA has asserted outer worldly dominance during this time.

Large chunks of their budget go towards keeping Orbital Air ahead of their competition like China when it comes to orbital tech. With the Euro-flight Corporation also expanding its services to LEO, there is even more reason to double down on tech.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – Lazarus Military Operations Group!

Lazarus Military Operations Group or simply Lazarus group is one of the largest and most successful megacorporations dealing in military services and private contracting ranging from single solo operatives to entire army divisions. In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 Lore, let’s take a deep dive into this powerful entity.

Lazarus was the brainchild of wealthy inheritor Nelson Katzadoulos. With the instability of the 21st century ever present, there was a need for a mercenary organization that offered high quality services for upper echelon customers. Katzadoulos had a dream of offering the highest caliber of these mercenary and military services, something that made the existing companies that offered similar services obsolete.

Knowing nothing about leading a military operation however, Katzadoulos sought out Emile Lazarus, a former Colon in the Special Forces and Medal of Honor recipient. After a disastrous operation during the Second South American Conflict, Emile Lazarus became incredibly dissatisfied with the US military despite his love for being a soldier. He was hired to lead the operations and his renowned name was used to create Lazarus Group. Whilst Katzadoulos was the Silent partner taking care of finances, Lazarus began putting plans into motion for training facilities, and recruiting 5000 trainees who received 8 weeks of training from experts in military tactics and equipment.

During the 2010s the Lazarus group participated in the Central African Conflicts of 2013, the Urban Unrest of 2014, the 3rd corporate war and the European Brushfire Wars of 2018. With these constant operations, and successes, this catalyzed the groups growth into a powerhouse megacorporation in the 2020s with over a quarter million in troops.
Lazarus typically offers 4 “packages” depending on the needs of the customer, corp or government. This includes Solo operatives, small units and special teams, median forces, as well as large forces.

Lazarus trains its own operative and hires solos who already have a wide range of experience. The more experienced the solo is the higher his or her lease price. Since solos are sch a valuable asset, losing an experienced operative can cost Lazarus a small fortune. This means that part of this hefty fee is rooted in insurance.

Lazarus has a variety of different solos, with many combinations of race and linguistic ability to suit any situation. If you have a particular need or niche, Lazarus will have the operatives to fit perfectly into those niche situations. The more unique the skills, proficiency and look of a Solo, the higher the surcharge. These solos take out reconnaissance, infiltration, assassination, and investigative missions in a variety of situations including special terrain, airdrops, ocean infiltration among-st a myriad of others.

Operatives can deny a job, especially if it’s a suicide mission, but as an operative declines job after job their prestige and price drop proportionally.
When a single operative won’t quite get the job done and you are looking to upscale your forces, the small units and special teams’ package may be a more appropriate offering. Forces range from two to around 20 soldiers, but most of the contracts for this package involve teams of 2-6. These teams will run demolition, sabotage, hostage rescue and extraction missions.

If you are looking for between 50 to 1000 soldiers to do your bidding, the Media Forces package is the next tier up within the Lazarus ecosystem. These forces are used for a variety of purposes including area security, crowd control, assault, reinforcement and more. These units can have specializations, with can be leased out at an extra cost.

Finally, we have the Large forces which deploy between 2000 and 10k operatives. Typically, only big corporations, nations and governments ca afford this tier, with the largest package stretching to 20k troops at a cost of 100 million Eurodollars per month.

Lazarus has aggressive advertising on corporate billboards, and in the net to market and distribute its products and services, but their market strategy has to be balanced with recruiting troops as well. Because the pool of combat employees spans a wide spectrum, targeting the best and brightest and recruitment is high up on the hierarchy of importance.
Lazarus group has an exclusivity contract with Militech Corporation meaning that Lazarus uses Militech equipment whenever possible. Lazarus features their weaponry in advertising and in exchange, the group receives high quality gear in bulk at a discounted rate. Lazarus also conducts operational trials for Militech equipment and weapons.

Lazarus is headquartered in Rosslyn, Virginia, but they have Regional Offices in New York, Chicago, London, Berlin, Tokyo, Seoul, Cairo, Nairobi as well as of course Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – Raven Microcybernetics!

Raven Microcybernetics better known as RMC are one of the best American manufacturers of Cyberware, wetware and cybernetic electronics. They are on the cutting edge of technology and pride themselves on their quality control. Public image wise, they are known for their “shelf presence” when it comes to high quality cyberware, full body conversions, electronics, netware and ACPA components.
RMC is tightly tied to the mind behind it, Dr Corvus Crow, and policies as well as products mirror Crowes own personality. Oddly enough when RMC stock goes does, so does Crowes own health a testament to their interconnectedness.

Corvus Crowe found a name for himself amidst the chaos of the Wasting plague, the food crash, the 2nd central American conflict as well as the first and second corporate wars of the 21st century. He completed his doctorate at 19 and spent his early 20s working under Janice Grubb as a Software Engineer for Kenjiri technologies, when they were developing some of the first net interface algorithms. Judging by some of the products they produced during this time, Raven were on the cutting edge on how we perceive the net.

Soon after however Crowe left to found BioDyne Systems and Kenjiri ended up becoming one of the driving forces of Kiroshi Optics.
BioDyne systems was known as the corporation credited with creating the first viable cyberlimbs. In 2009 however, BioDyne systems was going bankrupt and Raven Micro cybernetics, one of the investment holdings, was declared an official corporate entity.

Raven Microcybernetics is not a well-liked company in the US in the 2020s as they are seen as a threat. Orbital Air is the most powerful corporate ally RMC has, and their large investment in space has ensured this support. This has led to the co-development of the Warrior and Crusaders ACPA Chassis. RMC is also friendly with Tsunami Arms, who provides the small arms that Raven needs.

Raven is headquartered in the Corporate Center of Night City, but their manufacturing plants are scattered throughout the globe. They own 3 orbital work shacks and rely on Orbital Air for space Transport. Ravens online data fortresses are represented by a cybernetic arm rising out of a grid, with a black raven with glowing eyes perched upon the hand. Their Dataforts are secured by black programs and 24-hour sysop guards.
Employees enjoy competitive pay, Trauma Team Coverage, dental plans, health insurance amongst a myriad of other perks. Employees dress in black or grey with small accents of white red or gold.

In 2077 content, we know that the Flathead is controller by an RMC system after Pawel Sasko mentions it in the Deep Dive Q&A.
