Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – The MAIN Megacorporations! (Kang Tao, Arasaka, Militech, NightCorp & More!)

The mysterious NightCorp, the indominable Arasaka, the powerhouse Militech, the new kids on the block Kang Tao, the paramedical giant Trauma Team International, the renowned & established Kendachi, the optics king Kiroshi, and the ever present Zetatech are at the top of the corporate food-chain in Cyberpunk 2077. Let’s find out more about them as well as exactly what they are offering and how they are offering it that makes them unstoppable forces in 2077.

Megacorporations in the Cyberpunk age are massive entities, far beyond our modern day 21st century definitions. They operate on the same scale as small nations and rival and many times supersede governments in terms of power, size and scale. They dominate a wide variety of industries from agriculture to the media, to weapons and security technologies.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Quest Completion Details, Trauma Team, Lore Screenshots!

MORE images and details on the world of Cyberpunk 2077 via the upcoming lore book, details on the main and side quests and a surprising way you can actually finish the game, some district lore this time featuring Heywood, an incredible new trauma team statue with some in-world implications!

First up let’s dive into some very colorful new screens from the World of Cyberpunk 2077 as a German YouTube channel uploaded a brief look at it’s pages since apparently it’s been released there already. Our first new image here is a Kiroshi Optical ad here, with a fighter pilot using a Kiroshi visor on his helmet. Augmentations are shown off here and we have a better look at the gorilla arms and fists.

Kiroshi has yet another advertisement in here, but this is my favorite one because of the parallels it draws to many of the source material augmentations. On the far left we have what seems to be 2077’s version of the mirror shades that are not only iconic of the cyberpunk genre as a whole, but of 2020’s Kiroshi OptiShields as well.

Next we have these Spider-eyes again an evolution of Cyberpunk 2020 in the Bug eye augmentation from the Chromebooks. Now a lot of these augmentations are likely just going to be for in game advertising, and probably won’t be available to the player which I do want to mention. I know we had the taser nipples in a prior episode, and that could again just be for the in world advertising and not something the player can actually get. Far right we have optics with 4 irises and they are tinged red, and to be honest I don’t have a clue what this would be for. My best guess would be that they are likely used for low light situations.

We’ve already talked about this scene showcasing braindance addiction and for this poor guy on the left hand side, he’s so engrossed in whatever he’s doing he’s flat out pissed himself.

Another interesting new detail we get from this overview is the new vehicle manufacturers. We pretty much already know about Yaiba, quadra, archer and thornton., but now we can add mizutani, villefort, chevillon, mahir and makigai to the lineup of vehicles.

The world of Cyberpunk is not just about Night City and the surrounding badlands. The rest of the world is still chugging at their respective paces and it seems like this book will give us context on how the rest of the world is dealing with their own unique circumstances and problems. On this page it mentions that in 2073, airship fuel consumption has tripled to presumably ship plastics to australia.
There’s also an ad for real water, which we have seen in the broll footage that we analyzed as well as a very intimidating picture of Placide. It seems like there is an augmented hyena on the bottom here based on some of the concept arts where it shows Voodooboys keeping hyenas.

Finally your mind is never safe in Night City so we have yet another ad this time showcasing a storage service for the mind, to protect yourself from getting data extracted from you.

Moving on we have some new details via Pawel Sasko in an interview he did with spidersweb. We already know that side-quests can have ripple effects that will effect the main story line, but it seems that in some instances, the main quest doesn’t even need to be completed to actually finish the game.

Moving on check out this new statue on the CDPR gear store featuring the Trauma Team. Interesting thing about this is that if you take a closer look at this detailed statue, you’ll see some 2 important characters from the Cyberpunk Universe. Nadia and Mason who are the main characters in the Trauma Team comic book are both written onto their respective helmets, which are again an indication that these guys are going to be prominent in CDPR’s story telling.

Nadia, an assistant EMT for a privately-owned business known as Trauma Team International, is the sole survivor of a failed rescue mission turned shootout.
After she agrees to continue work for an upcoming extraction mission, Nadia discovers that her new extraction subject is Apex–the man who’s responsible for Nadia’s former team members’ deaths.

Moving on we have a district feature, this time on Heywood via Twitter and the CDPR forums. They describe this district as follows. “Heywood is a district of contrast. In the north, near City Center, you’ll find lush parks and modern skyscrapers towering high above. As you venture further south, however, the views change drastically, with dangerous and unwelcoming slums dominating the scenery more and more. Still, Heywood isn’t all bad even with gangs like Valentinos and 6th Street roaming about – if you know your place and keep your head low, that is.

The districts been dubbed “the biggest bedroom in Night City”. That’s because most of Night City lives here.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – E3 2019 Leak, YouTuber Invites & CD PROJEKT RED Inhumane?

In todays Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk 2077 News we are discussing a new E3 2019 leak highlighting everything that we will get from Cyberpunk 2077 this year at E3, Some big YouTubers invited to a CD PROJEKT RED showcase, CD PROJEKT RED under fire for allegations of over working and burning out their employees via Kotaku, A Trauma Team international Website and come clarification about an ARG, and some Countdown to the Dark Future details about The Net in Cyberpunk 2020.

First up in our Cyberpunk 2077 News segment we have a post on NeoGaf from a user who spills the beans on everything that’s going to happen at E3 when it comes to Microsoft. The title is The next 18 months of Microsoft the calm before the storm, and goes into detail specifically on what will happen at the Miscrosoft E3 2019 media briefing on June 9th where we will likely see our first Cyberpunk 2077 reveal. Now apparently this guy has “insider connections”.

In relation to Cyberpunk 2077 and CD PROJEKT RED, he claims that we will receive a Progress update of the game, a new gameplay trailer and a targeted release date from Cyberpunk 2077 at the Microsoft conference.

He goes on to show various business cards, and media passes, although out-dated as proof that he is someone in the loop, and doesn’t mention CDPR’s game coming “by 2021”

Now in my humble opinion the Cyberpunk 2077 related stuff is not anything out of the ordinary. We’ve speculated that we will likely received these things from CD PROJEKT RED and we aren’t anything close to industry insiders. The user joined in April 2019, as well so take this leak with a huge grain of salt. Again when it comes to strictly 2077, these are all things we’ve forecasted before.

Next up we have details of some big and prolific YouTubers getting invites from CD PROJEKT RED to see something at E3 2019. As far as I know it seems LegacyKillaHD, SkillUp, YongYea, got an invite along with Metal Jesus Rocks. They have been cryptically tweeting about their invites for “their most anticipated game of e3 2019” and in the case of SkillUp, community manager from CD PROJEKT RED Lilayah responded only giving more credibility that it is Cyberpunk 2077.

Now in SkillUp’s tweet they aslo make mention that it’s a behind closed doors session at E3. This leads me to believe that these guys will get their hands on the game to make impression videos.

Next up we have a Kotaku Article from Jason Schrier about the state of working at CD PROJEKT RED and how they have recently been criticized for having poor working condisitions and stretching their employees too thin when it comes to game development.

In this article, Schrier says The developer best known for the witcher series has cultivated a reputation for crunch in asking its employees to work nights and weekends for months at a time, and that studio management wants to improve their work life balance, even if they continue to feel that crunch is a necessity.

Interviewing Marcin Iwinski, Iwinski states that they are known for treating gamers with respect, but that they would like to be known for treating developers and staff with respect in the future.

He also mentions how CD PROJEKT RED has introduced a non obligatory crunch policy, And that even when the studio asks staff to work on nights and weekends its not mandatory.

Naturally game development is grindy at times, and especially with the polish and tenacity CD PROJEKT RED attacks it with, even more so.

At the same time a non obligatory policy has the potential to devolve into being ineffective.

Next we have the Trauma Team Interantional website and its “resurgence”. If you guys remember a while ago CD PROJEKT RED and Cyberpunk 2077 had a couple of ARG games during anf after E3 which is an alternate reality game where you find clues online and solve puzzles through their content.

On that note post E3 2018 there was a trauma team international website with an ARG. Fast forward to 2019 and MadQueen reported on it’s resurgence a few days ago after she realized there was an update to the TT international website and potentally prompting a new ARG from them in the future.

Finally we have some Countdown to the Dark future episodes featuring The Net. This is a series of the developers of the source material of Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk 2013 and 2020. We get a lot of lore information from these episodes.

In episode 135 we learn about what the Net actually is. The net of 2020 is the sum of total human telecommunications, joining together computers, telephones, cell phones, radios, microwave transmitters, satellites and more. Everything connected to the NET is part of it, from megacorp supercomputers to computer controlled-blenders.

The net has many functions including storing and sharing information, communications, and remote access and control of peripherals.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Podcast Episode 1 ft. MadQueen!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 Podcast we have Cyberpunk 2020 + Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Expert The MadQueen! In this Episode of the Podcast we will be talking about Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2019 and a potential open booth from CD PROJEKT RED, Hacking & Netrunning, Crystaljocks, The Net, Trauma Team, The Maelstrom Gang, Militech and Arasaka, Braindance, The Revamped Dialogue System, Jackie Welles, SysOps, The Cyberpunk 2077 E3 Trailer, Cyberpunk Red, Viruses like Black ICE and The Soulkiller, and More!

Cyberpunk 2077 – Trauma Team (Lore Explained!)

Today we have a Cyberpunk 2077 video on Trauma Team, if we can join them, what their squads are made of, their memberships, Trauma Team lore explained and more!

Trauma Team International may seem like it’s similar to modern day public health services like EMTs and the EMS service. In actuality they are a premium paramedical franchise that specializes in rapid response medical services. Because of this, and how dangerous Night City is, thet are one of the most powerful corporations of the cyber age.

A franchise of paramedics who operate in the US Canada and different parts of Europe, Trauma Team can be dispatched to your location by dialing 911, and they can also trace calls to their source.

High end clients are billed from the moment a call is placed, until delivered to a hospital for further examination and medical measures. What kind of hospital is based on a couple factors we will talk about.

Now A trauma team client may opt to carry a deadman transmitter, which when activated automatically signals trauma team the moment the client’s brainwave pattern falls into a coma state. Think of it like a futuristic life alert, but not only for seniors.

Now we see Sandra Dorsett, the Trauma Team client from the gameplay demo have a deadman transmitter, which was blocked due to a virus the Scavengers had deployed within it. V removes the virus with the help of Netrunner TBug, and the signal is reconnected to Trauma Team who swoops in in no time.

Now when signing up for Trauma Team, you receive a card and this biochip implant which has the deadman transmitter on it.

Trauma Teams packages come in a variety of different tiers. In the gameplay demo, Sandra dorsett is a platinum member which means trauma team will respond in 3 minutes or less, but in the original 2020 tabletop game, there are other coverage packages to glean over.

The first is the full body life coverage. This plan costs $500 euro dollars a month, or $5,500 with a yearly plan.

In the event trauma team is dispatched, the customer/patient also has to pay 100 Eddies for every minute until their arrival at the nearest corporate hospital, as well as for the cost of ammo fired by trauma team as well as fuel used and damage to equipment incurred.

This plan comes with a 10-minute response time, although if it’s over 10 minutes the patient gets 50% off.

Next we have corporate and corporate executive coverage, which costs 1500 eddies per month or 16500 with a yearly plan.

This plan promises a response time of 7 minutes or less and the patient is taken to a corporate medical centre upon pickup. The patient does however have to pay for equipment and personnel damage as well.

The corporate executive plan covers all the ammo and fuel costs, but the customer/ still has to pay for any equipment or personnel damage.

Finally we have High Priority coverage a plan which costs 34,000 eurodollars per year.

The plan comes with a gold trauma team card, and the response time is 3-5 minutes, which TT claims is the fastest. Once the customer is picked up, they are taken to a corporate hospital instead of a medical centre. All ammo and fuel costs are covered but the patient again has to pay for equipment damage.

For 2077, it seems that Trauma Team again has a platinum tier which is one higher than gold, and is a 3 minute response time flat, and potentially covering all equipment and personnel damage.

Trauma Team squads consist of a couple of memebers. Because they come in on an aerodyne, we need an aerodyne pilot, and co-pilot who can also act as a gunner. We see the gunner possibly unloading some rounds into the Scavs here, in a different way the first mission could have played out.

We also have 2 security specialists, a lead EMT and an assistant EMT. In 2077 the titles have been simplified to Trauma Team soldier, and trauma team medic.

Now Trauma Team uses an AV-4A Aerodyne which is lightweight and made of composite materials and are usually supported by re-fueling stations and trucks on the ground below. The aerodyne has some of the most advanced technology in night city with a mobile cryotank available to reduce body temperature to stop hemoraghing, shock, and brain swelling. There are also on board heart and lung machines and biomonitors.

Rapid surgery is done onboard to critical memebers through the use of electroshock, drugs and manual resuscitation.

In the aerodyne The co-pilot mans a 7.62 squad automatic weapon and never leaves the cockpit, whilst the emts extract the patient.

Trauma Team seem to have a smart rifle styled weapon and a pistol as a sidearm in the gameplay demo.

Now spare parts and body banks are popular in night city, which can be convenient for those close to death, or in need of getting put back together again like some sort of lego piece. These are essentially donor organs and limbs presumably harvested by Trauma Team from deceased clients.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Mega-Corporations! (What Are They?)

Corporations are giant, multinational companies that dominate the world of Cyberpunk and Night City. They can range from simple media corporations, to agriculture corps to service and computing corps to worldwide security firms, and they will kill anyone and anything that stands in their way.

They operate 24/7, buying, selling or providing services to many around the world. Unlike businesses today, megacorporations in the Cyberpunk landscape are cutthroat and violence is actually a common occurrence within corporations as a way to work yourself up the ladder.

Blackmail, extortion, bribery, kidnapping and assassination are common place in Night City’s white collar world. Successful corporations don’t act above the law, because they are the Law.

As a Corpo, you always have to watch your back and many are highly paranoid of losing their place by those trailing them on the ladder.

The power structure is so that the CEO and president are at the top of the food chain with high level executives right under. You will typically see a power struggle and infighting amongst management, and lower leveled executives trying to work their way up in the world via dishonesty, manipulation and by blindsiding those around them.

There are many types of Corporations. Mediacorps are giant conglomerates that control the airwaves across the world. It is suspected many of the larger media corps have deep ties to the government.

Network news 54 is a 24 hour news station originating in the United States, and World News Service is a 24 hour news service across the world.

Agricorps were started as smaller family farms. After the world market collapse however, many farms were boarded up and their huge segments of land became barren from neglect. The larger farms survived the collapse and thus had more leverage with the smaller guys out of the way and started to buy up fertile land. By 2020 65% of farmland in the US was owned by corporations producing CHOOH2 a biofuel of the future.

Petrochem are the largest producer of CHOOH2. SovOil also produces Chooh2, but their product is inferior to SovOil.

Manufacturing corporations were least affected by the collapse. They range from producing vehicles to childrens toys.

Militech, who was formerly ArmaTech-Luccessi is a military arms giant.

Arasaka is a secutirities corp and a rival of militechs. EBM is a computer hardware manufacturer, and IEC manufacturers smaller components such as computer chips and hardware.

In the world of Cyberpunk almost everything revolves around a computer of some sort. Through Advanced tech and the emergence of the Net, Computing corporations have a firm grasp on the world of Night City.

Zetatech is a silicon valley software development corporation. Microtech creates workstation computers and IEC is the world largest cybernetics developer. Science is also at the forefront of the world and have their hands in everything from bioware, to cybernetics, to human clones and biofuels. Biotechnica, was the corporation that developed CHOOH2 but licensed it out as they didn’t have the resources to produce it.

In the world of Cyberpubnk crime is widespread, the modern police force is largely ineffective and securiry companies are as lethal as nations armies.

Security teams are a cohesive unit and deploy a small arsenal in response to anything suspect in Night City. Arasaka and Militech are heavily invested in this space and are some of the biggest players in Night City because of it. Lazarus is also in this pool of corps as they contract mercenaries and are led by South American war veterans.

Lastly we have service megacorporations. This includes trauma team international, specialized paramedics that will go through any means to assist an injured client, REO Meatwagon, who is like TT but only deals with deceased patients and Orbital air a commercial space transport.

There is also Infocomp, which is an information brokerage that uses private detectives to dig up dirt for a client and Meril, Asukaga and Finch an investment firm.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Top 10 Gameplay Demo Moments!

What’s up Neon Nation today we are going over the top 10 moments of the 48-minute gameplay demo for Cyberpunk 2077. There is so much to love here throughout the entirety of the gameplay demo, but there were definetly some stand out moments. Be sure to stick around for Number 1, which you may or may not agree with me on.

I’d also love to hear your personal top 10 list, so drop a comment and let me know what you guys are diggin’ in what we’ve seen so far from Cyberpunk.

At Number 10 we have the appearance of Trauma Team. Trauma Team, a high end insurance in the world of Night City are some of the strongest NPCs you’ll encounter in the world. They are some of the only people that will enter the combat zone, and the team is comprised of former soldiers, and black operatives that are not only deadly but smart in battle. You better not get in the way of them extracting a high end patient, because they will dispatch of you fairly quickly with their high tech weaponry, combat armour and years and years of training.

At Number 9 we have V’s apartment and her view of Night City. V’s apartment is fully equipped with a Night City Vending Machine, Interface on her windows, A weapons bunker, and a closet for her clothes. V lives in a Dredd like megastructure teeming and fluid with life, as you can see the heavy bustle of mega-structure dwellers and inhabitants. V is able to progress to different and more lavish apartments as you become a more proficient mercenary with more eddies to blow, which gives us the possibility of maybe having a stunning vista view like this from 100 stories up.

Number 8 is our friendly neighbourhood Ripper Doctor. Responsible for upgrading our Cybernetics to the latest and greatest, Dr Viktor seems to be quite a likeable guy. Upgrading our Cybernetics takes us through unique and fully fleshed out animations, which vary based on what kind of upgrade you are getting. Viktor works in a moody, dark, dungeon like basement and is essentially a futuristic surgeon, with a knack for technological components. Viktor is seemingly a legal ripper doctor in Night City, but we do know there are illegal ripper docs operating in hiding, that have the latest and greatest illegal black market cyberware, which I will be all over when this game ships.

Number 7 is character customization. We see a ton of options to customize our charaacters in Cyberpunk 2077 from their tattoos, to cybernetic facial wiring, to choosing our personal backstory and upgrading stats like cool and intelligence levels. Whilst I believe the final build will have a dizzying array of options, the WIP build that was shown still shows some awesome ways to personalize our character, and details surrounding V.

At Number 6 we have Jackie’s supercar which V takes for a joyride. The roar of the engine is satisfyingly powerful and switching from 3rdperson to 1stperson seems to be a really nice addition, especially since driving in 1stperson can be a little tedious, even though the immersion factor is higher in this perspective. Now we have confirmation that a variety of incredibly fast and sleek vehicles will be in Cyberpunk 2077, like Akira-styled superbikes, heavily armoured cruisers, and even aerodynes and flying cars. All of these are typical of the Cyberpunk genre and ooze style and innovative design. We can also steal cars in Night City, but be weary of who you try to forcibly eject from their vehicle, as it may come back to bite you in the ass, later down the line.

At number 5 we have a brief sequence where we see Night City at Night. The genre of Cyberpunk is largely known for it’s noire themes of everlasting night and rain. Now Cyberpunk 2077 features a full day and night cycle with even adverse weather effects like Acid Rain.

We didn’t get to see Night City too much after the sun goes down, but this is where the vibrancy and light pollution of the neon lights on the skyscraper-like megabuildings really add to the ambienace of the world. Add that to the fact that you are more likely to encounter increasingly dangerous enemies at Night, and you have yourself a world where Night is meaningful and reflective of real life, where crime and suspect ativities usually happen within the veil of darkness that night creates
