Cyberpunk 2077 News – “Absolutely Not 2019” Tweet, New Jacket & Cyberpunk Red Kit!
In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news and details video we are talking about Jason schreier and his absolutely not 2019 release tweet and his follow up to that, A New cyberpunk Jacket, Cyberpunk red, the jumpstart kit and our first look at a new Cyberpunk red image, Jackie’s Romances For The Game, Steam Awards for CDPR and more!
In today’s news segment we first have some tweets from Jason Schriere who is a well known and respected games journalist. A week ago on May 29th in response to a tweet by a fan about a rumor of November 2019 release for a cyberpunk 2077, he responded with “There is absolutely no chance of Cyberpunk 2077 releasing in 2019”. The thing I found odd when it came to this response is not that it’s his belief that 2077 might come out in 2020, it’s the fact he made it an absolute. Okay he’s an insider with a ton of info, but I wasn’t buying the fact that he knew CONCRETELY that it was absolutely 2020 and so I voiced my opinion. Know I’m not hating on Jason at all, but he knows everything he says is going to be put under the microsope because he is well respected, so he could have for sure used “It is my firm belief” Or “Its been strongly hinted to me” that 2077 will come out in 2020 instead of an absolute.
I got shredded in some comments, but honestly I don’t really care and he did clarify what he meant after the fact with a backpedal tweet where he clarified what he actually meant.
Next we have a new Cyberpunk styled jacket given to some of the developmental team for their work within CD PROJEKT RED. Delgapas Salazar a 3D environmental artist for CD PROJEKT RED and presumably some others were gifted with this fresh Cyberpunk jacket, with some interesting patches on it. One is for the CD PROJEKT RED team, and we also have the Night City heat patch we’ve seen on the new Male V model as well from a couple weeks ago. It also looks like there might be a samurai logo on here as well but we can’t really see it. In any case, it’s a nice little perk for developers for their hard work in making games.
Next up we have some Cyberpunk Red details from RTalsorian games. This information partially came from our Cyberpunk 2077 community Podcast, and partially came later from RTalsorian. Now in the podcast JGray the media ambassador for RTalsorian games who makes the source material of Cyberpunk 2077 in Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red, mentioned that the August 1st GenCon date had been pushed back and they instead would be releasing the Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart kit. The Kit which we later found out will retail at 29.99 and will feature “essential rules, world lore, pre-generated characters, an adventure, screamsheets, dice and more. Everything needed to play right out of the box for people curious about the game and the world. JGray also promoted a new Cyberpunk Red commissioned art piece, which looks pretty awesome.
Next we have a small little detail about the universe when it comes to Jackie’s love interests in the demo last year and in the game as a whole. Lilayah community manager of CD PROJEKT RED had this to say in a reddit thread speculating about Jackie and Female V being romantically involved, where she mentions Jacki already has a girlfriend. A user asks if it is Misty, DR Viktors receptionist to which we get a cryptic winky face answer.
Next we have CD PROJEKT RED receiving their steam awards they’ve won, so head on over to twitter to congratulate them on some well deserved hardware. Im willing to bet this is the first of many if Cyberpunk 2077 and their prospective future games perform well.
Finally we have some Countdown to the dark future details which we haven’t touched on in quite some time. I’m going to highlight the best episodes which feature the Cyberpunk lore and source material of RTalsorians Cyberpunk 2020 which heavily influences CD PROJEKT RED’s 2077.
Last week was vehicles, but this week is the nomad movement something I’ve been curious about for some time and have been recently asking JGray some questions about this so it came at a perfect time.
In episode 156 we learn that during The Collapse, tens of millions of united states citizens were displaced for a variety of reasons, and that some who were displaced became Nomads and developed a vibrant lifestyle centred around a mobile lifestyle. In 2020 there were an estimated 7 million Nomads roaming around north America, and made use of themselves in construction contracts, as couriers and travelling entertainment.
In episode 157 we learn that Nomads follow a code which reads as follows. Protect and respect your clan, and above all your family. Your word is your bond. Share with your clanfolk. Respect the privacy and property of your clan. Never cause trouble for your clan. Take only a fair wage for a day’s work.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Space Travel & Social Hubs!
In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News we’ll be looking at potential space travel for a quest, The significance of January 10th, A hint at what we may see for Cyberpunk 2077’s online aspect *cough* social hubs, Mike Pondsmith and his deeper than expected relationship between CD Projekt Red, A London gaming conference in the new year in which CD Projekt Red is attending and a potential collector’s edition statue, featuring a cyberpsycho with mantis blades.
So first up we have news from the pre Cyberpunk 2077 E3 trailer era with some insider Cyberpunk information and rumors acquired by GameRant via GamePressure. In these rumors it was noted by an insider, that “Cyberpunk 2077 will allow players to visit the moon for a fragment of the game”. Now this article went on to mention things about E3 that were true including the fact that CD Projekt red was transitioning to a purely first person perspective after promising a first person / third person hybridized game . Polish Publication GRYOnline also mentioned how Cyberpunk 2077 would have a significant presence at E3 with a trailer, and a playable demo, which GamePressure echoed but later added the fact that the gameplay demo would only be for journalists. At E3 these rumors became known as legitimate facts. The only thing that wasn’t confirmed was the moon mission and space travel sections, but based on what we’ve seen we can say that piece of information, which was in the pool with all the other right predictions, is probably factual as well. In the E3 trailer we can see a low orbit spaceship in this particular scene as we look out the windows and see space and the topography and curvature of the earth, as well as seeing Orbital air in the gameplay demo. Orbital air is a megacorporation originating from Nairobi Kenya that specializes in cargo and passenger transport to earth orbit, and maintanence of commenrcial orbital facilities. We can see that these people, on what seems to be an Orbital air flight, are involved in passenger transport.
Next up we have rumors from again, pre E3 times where a cyberpunk 2077 online multiplayer leak was floating around. In this leak obtained by Triple S League in conjunction with The Mad Queen it was noted that Cyberpunk 2077’s online element which is currently in research and development and being outsourced to Vancouver Based Developer Digital Scapes, would be a large social hub. IN the context of the lore, this makes sense as The AfterLife in the world of Cyberpunk is a bar where mercenaries and fixers congregate. The player, who plays as mercenary V, can take part in mini games and social interactions via the social hub. These job listings were used for scouting out developers and employees precisely focused on “Seamless Multiplayer Design”. This job listing description includes comprehensive technology that enables the creation of unique gameplay for Many players, taking into account the search of opponents, session management, replication facilities and support of a variety of game modes. CD Projekt Red has also tacked on developer Strange New Things in a studio in Wroclaw to form a more core team, meaning their development team is looking very strong for 2077.
Next we have a potential collector’s edition statue being shown off by CDPR as gifts they’ve given to employees for the holiday season. The cyberpsycho with the mantis blades was featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 teaser trailer and also given in press kits for journalists who saw the E3 cyberpunk gameplay demo. Now these press kit statues are online for pretty rediculous prices, but there are a couple notable things about this statue.
Next we have the significance of January 10th. Im sure all of you guys were just as disappointed as me about Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red being absent from the video game awards 2018, but we can pretty much say we are due for at least something soon from Cyberpunk.
It’s been 3 months since the gameplay demo and if 2019 predictions for the release date are right, then we should be on pace for marketing to kick in. Now January 10th 2013 was the day the cyberpunk 2077 teaser trailer was released, and January 10th2018 was also the day that Cyberpunk 2077 tweeted beep after a very long absence from social media.
Next we have PC Connect London. PC Connects London is a Global PC Games industry conference that takes place from January 21st to the 22nd. CD Projekt Red will make an appearance with level designer Max Pears taking the stage.
Next we have a couple of interesting details and news items. First we have a Borderlands 3 leak. Now this is only relevant due to a leaked characters jacket. Does it look familiar? I thought it was pretty interesting to see that CDPR and Gearbox are in the same mindset design wise.
Lastsly we have Mike Pondsmith at PAX East earlier in the year mentioning how he eventually ended up Licensing his IP to CD Projekt Red for Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 – Clothing & Fashion Explained!
today we’re going over the Clothing and Fashion of Cyberpunk 2077. From Edgerunner Fashion to the color shifting fabrics of Urban Flash to Nudists and Exhibitionists, we are going to look at the vibrant array of clothing options, popular fashions in Night City, jackets, and fashionable cybernetics.
In The world of Cyberpunk, your look is everything. Night City is a very shallow and materialistic world where everyone wants to stand out. Being judged by anyone and everyone purely on the way you dress, brand allegiance has progressed to the point of cult like worship.
Peacocking and being so extravagant that people can’t help but notice you, gives you social status, power and opportunities.
This is reflective in fancier clothing items giving you more Street Cred, an in game statistic based on how good you look.
First off in the realm of clothing and fashion in Night City is Cyberfashion. In Night City Cybernetics are not only functional, but are hip and demonstrate social status. Even if you can’t afford top tier cybernetics, you probably have a few enhancements. Perhaps A few software chips installed in your nervous system to interface with your computer, to remember your appointments and improve your racquetball reflexes simultaneously.
If you are cybered up, you probably have interface plugs to operate computers, weapons and vehicles mentally. Maybe you have increased vision cyber optics, or scent signaling olfactory boosters.
Again, these are not only for functional reasons, as cyber fashion is a way of expressing oneself, and modifications usually enhance your aesthetic as well.
Next we have the general styles of clothing in Night City
First we have General Chic. This is your everyday run of the mill street wear. Regular belts, coats, and boots predominate this sub-sect. This is the cheapest clothing out there, reserved for street scum and the lower classes. This is the kind of clothing you’ll find in mega-stores and mallplexes. Cotton is a luxury in Night City and thus general chic is very generic clothing, and also 100% synthetic. Kids, Mall rats, and people who generally stray away from fashion trends, tend to wear general chic-styled items.
Leisurewear is Cyberpunk’s answer to modern day Athletic garments. Padded Fleece, and corporate and athletic logos are some of the typical designs of Leisurewear. These are sweatpants and shirts taken to the level of designer jeans. A real-world example of their signature look would be the Athletic wear from the 90s. It’s usually twice as expensive as General chic. Leisurewear are for people who like to look good whilst partying or out on the town.
Urban Flash refers to items such as video jackets, color-shifting fabrics, camos, leathers, metal trim and logo wear. This is the most outlandish and flashy clothing styles in Night City. These items are favored by Chromers and Boostergangs, obsessive about their looks. Rich kids and edgerunner wannabees usually wear these kinds of clothes. The latest trends are usually picked up by clothing companies who make Urban Flash stylized clothing. Urban Flash attire are for dance club fanatics, image-conscious mallplexers and metal-heads.
Businesswear is the equivalent of the standard business suit. Understated colors, pinstripes and real leather shoes, and ties are the mainstays of Business wear. Natural fabrics are used here with wool considered the proper outfitting for the up and coming corpo. A good mover or corpzoner wouldn’t wear anything else as dressing like this sends a message that they are in charge and in power. Businesswear is around 3x more than General chic.
High Fashion. These are sophisticated and expensive dressing options exclusive for the upper class. These are the styles Urban Flash and Generic clothing try to imitate year after year, but High Fashion features quality materials and workmanship that is second to none. Braindance and Video-stars also wear High Fashion designers like Miyake, Si Fui Yan and Anne Calvin. If you are in the trendiest of clubs and are wearing clothing that imitates High Fashion, you’re a nobody. It is twice as expensive as General chic.
Edgerunner fashion is practical and militant in design. There aren’t outlets you can buy Edgerunner fashion from, they are highly personal garments made of military surplus and sown and woven together using a variety of materials. Edgerunner gear is stylishly functional gear that looks armored or combat ready, without beaing olive drab military wear. Edgerunner gear seems fit the description of these jackets that are heavily armored and padded that we’ve seen thus far in Cyberpunk trailers and screenshots. Edgerunner gear is meant to advertise your abilities and that you are anything but a pushover. It also shows your worth in a high-tech dance bar, or facing down street scum in the Combat Zone. This type of clothing costs 3x as much as general chic and requires a certain COOL level to wear.
