In CD Projekt RED We Trust!

CD Projekt Red stands strong in what it delivers to the player in terms of gaming experience, consumer friendly practices and polished detailed games. This may be no different for Cyberpunk 2077, which follows in the big footsteps of The Witcher 3. With No DRM, Microtransactions + Pre order bonuses, they are living up to their reputation as those who put their gamers and customers first. In CD Projekt Red We Trust …

The very best games and gaming experiences, make us feel truly indebted to companies who have produced them, instead of feeling like we paid for a half-baked experience.

I bought the Witcher 3 via Steam Sale months and months ago, and feel like I ripped CD Projekt Red off, with just how much content, love and detail was packed into it, regardless of the fact that It may not be a game for me, personally. This is a single player game, with more re-playability than a lot of multiplayer titles on the market today.
It was one of the few experiences I’ve had in the last couple years, where I’ve truly felt like I got my money’s worth. Getting to the stage where I’m becoming a senile old man, I have less time and effort to invest in shitty games. All I want is to receive what I am promised when buying a new game, nothing more and nothing less.

Now although not always this way, CD Projekt Red has become increasingly more transparent in their dealings. Despite the Witcher 3 downgrade fiasco, they’ve learned as a relatively new developer that transparency is the key to creating a consumer who wants to back a developer and to establish some sort of brand loyalty.
Even in their very polished Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo, which they were skeptical to release for polish reasons, they had a banner the entire 48 minutes that advised things might change in the ginal game.

They claim they leave greed to others, and back it up with free DLCs, avoiding pre-order exclusives and a complete removal and refusal to add micro-transactions and DRM policies, which essentially means that you could pirate their games if you wanted to.
They can do this because they have built such consumer loyalty that even people who have pirated their games, come back to buy a copy. They had no DRM for The Witcher 3, and it still sold 10 million+ copies.

These aren’t easy decisions, because as you know they are a business at the end of the day, but this is not how they want to do business, and ironically it’s what has given them more business.
Believe it not, there are still companies who value their consumer, atleast for the time being.

Now cyberpunk 2077 might be a bad game, and whether it is or not, I urge you guys to start voting and making market changes with your wallets. Stop buying uninspired, lazy games that lead to battered gamer syndrome where you are always going back to that developer who once made your favorite game, but are now ringing you dry like a towel without a drop left in it.

Whether or not you relate those water drops to your finances, your passion for games, or your will to even keep gaming, the answer to wake these developers up is stop investing in early access, unfinished, reskinned, microtransaction laden and plain greedy games.

Trust in developers who go against the grain. Trust in Developers like CD Projekt Red.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Music, Soundtrack & Sound Design (Explained!)

Today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video includes Cyberpunk 2077’s music composition, soundtrack, sound design, Samurai, Rockerboys, the Fusion of Cyber and Punk, Licensing of artists, Cyberpunk radio and clubs, dynamic music and sound cues as well as Musical inspiration for Cyberpunk 2077 coming from the likes of BladeRunner, Akira and Ghost In The Shell.

First and foremost let’s take a Look at what kind of sounds we will hear in Cyberpunk 2077 and their Music and Soundtrack. CD Projekt Red answered a fan regarding their musical direction In a brief message via Facebook. In this message they mention marrying the Cyber with the punk with cyber referring to sonic texture, and a raw dirty, synthesized sound palette. Punk was all about the attitude of the music and being rebellious, ballsy and impulsive. They promise to make the soundtrack of Cyberpunk as colorful as the world of Night City and that they would be drawing from all genres to create a sound track that first and foremost leads the narrative and adds context to the story.

This means that the lore based classes in the rockerboys will come to life with the punk side of the music direction, and also netrunners and techies will feel at home too with the futuristic sounds reflective of their role and job in night city. From Johnny SIlverhand and his rebellious attitude inspired track Chippin In, to the dirty and dark pounding of the scavengers tunes permeating the gaffittied walls of their lair, This fusion seems apparent. In the same light larger than life celebrities and bands like Lizzy Wizzy and The Metadwarves and Samurai will have a large presence not only in their music, but how that music impacts celebrity worship in the dark future.

Now when it comes down to lead composition of the Soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red has decided to go with highly established music director Marcin Pryzbylowicz, who composed the epic and emotional Witcher 3 soundtrack, which is arguably the best video game soundtrack of the last decade. Also on the audio and musical direction team they have Bryan Mantia and Melissa reese. Bryan Mantia has worked with band like Guns N Roses and Primus and will be an integral part of the soundtrack. Vocalist and composer Melissa reese is also on the project and whose previous work can be seen in Bloodborne and INfamous second son.

In an interview with Mantia and in regards to Cyberpunk 2077 he claims “This project in particular has been a little challenging because the developers are looking for music that has never been heard before. They’re looking for music that would be made in the year 2077. I’m into it because I really love “white noise” and I figure that’s where music is going to be 60 years from now. Basically, this means every frequency within the range of human hearing from 20 to 20 thousand hertz. He ends with “I’m really digging the experimentation on this project”

This is pretty exciting because the genre is by nature very experimental, and if they pull off some truly unique sounds it could have a big impact on how how we look at the world of cyberpunk and the genre as a whole. Now on the flip side experimentation is also very polarizing and is a risky move.

Now according to CD Projekt Red themselves, the music of the game will be all produced in house meaning they won’t be licensing outside artists. They did this their trailers with Hyper’s song Spoiler being featured in the E3 trailer and Archive’s Bullets being featured In the Teasre trailer. This might mean radios stations, clubs and other areas in night city that are filled with the sounds of cyberpunk may infact be completely unique and made in house. Although there is some debate on whether or not we will see licensed music from other artists for the time being CDPR has stated otherwise.

In addition to all these things, music will be dynamic rather than scripted. If you remember my E3 audio leak video I compared two separate leaks of the gameplay demo and deduced that in the scavenger lair scene, there were in fact distinctly separate tracks running during the assault on the scavenger lair, meaning that there were two audio leaks out there. This also means that the music you can hear on the streets of Night City will be dynamic and will be fluid based on if its night or day, if you are in a specific kind of club, or potentially even your positioning on the map and what you are looking at.

This is further implied by Pryzbylowicz mentioning how the open setting of Cyberpunk allows for them to add sound ques.
He notes an example we’ve seen in the interaction with the Maelstrom. If things go south for you in the interaction and a shootout ensues the music will come to a boiling point and snap as you begin to fir your rounds into your enemies. If the deal goes down without a hitch, the anxiety laced synths die down and more calm music floods back into the background.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Militech Explained!

Militech is one of the biggest MegaCorporations in Cyberpunk 2077. Today we are going to be looking at it’s history, how it came to power, key people involved, what they actually do and how they operate in Night City arming and supporting assassins, mercenaries and even full scale military operations. Welcome to Cyberpunk 2077 – Militech Explained!
What we’ve seen thus far from Militech in trailers or the demo is the Militech Crusher, Armored Vehicle, Meredith stout and her surveillance drone, and
Militech International Armaments is a megacorporation valued at 432 billion Eurodollars and specializing in weapons manufacturing and private military contracting. They are the largest weapons manufacturer in the world, and their catalogue of gear, arms and equipment are used by hundreds of nations in departments such as mercenary divisions, assassinations, corporate security and full scale military operations.
Based out of the Eastern US and working closely with police and military forces they have substantially contributed to civilian security systems. They manufacture high grade military tech from simple firearms to heavily armored combat vehicles.
Initially founded as Armatech-Lucessi International by Italian Weapons designer Antonio Luccessi in 1996, Militech didn’t find its footing until 1998 with the trials for a new US infantry assault weapon. The US Government was recovering from bankruptcy during this time, and began the process to replace outdated weapons tech in the M-16A2 rifle. The trials came down to 3 competitors looking to become the new standard issue rifle for the government. The FN SAP, a cheap but clunky and unreliable weapon that allowed the US to maintain low costs, the Colt AR-17X a good but expensive gun, and a submission by Armatech-Lucessi, a compact, reliable and moderately priced rifle.
A member of the joint trial General Donald Lundee lobbied for the Armatech-Lucessi weapon, but due to a further collapse of the economy and a tightening of the budget the government picked up the FN SAP for their standard issue.
Now 6 years later in the second south American conflict, in the jungles of central and south America these unreliable SAP rifles unsuited for tropical climates led to many deaths of US soldiers.
Lundee observed this from afar, and having resigned from the marine corps and taken a comfy seat as CEO of armatech at the request of Luccessi he began to formulate a re-haul of the system and saw th need for an efficient military manufacturer producing high quality equipment. During this time of growth, the company was rebranded to Militech Arms International.
Their first success was in 2004 after a disastrous Central American War where the US finally scrapped the SAP and began new trials for a new standard weapon. The final choice was Militechs Ronin Light Assault Rifle and they soon won the military side arm contract. At the same time this is where Militech expanded their catalogue which included heavy weapons, artillery, and vehicles and aircraft systems. As a more established contractor, they took advantage of yet another economic collapse to buy up competitors to utilize their designers and resources and this is how they came to be so dominant.
Some notable people during this time include Roland Yee, current chairman of the board and one of the original investors in Armatech
We also have Margaret Ellen Goldstein one of the original investors and one time lover of CEO Donald Lundee
Mils Engelsson – vice president and director of the special projects division and known as Dr Death for his unethical and horrifying experiments, and Meredith stout who is a senior operations manager working for Militech in the year 2077, who we see in the demo.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – NPCs, Animations & Dialogue, Night City!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news we will be looking at how CDPR is developing the world of Cyberpunk, Night City and NPCs, and how they are making it truly unique, As well as how CDPR has stepped up their game with their revamped animation system and how it relates to dialogue.
So first we have a discussion with Environment city coordinator Hiroshi Sakakibara, who delivers some new details about creating night city and what their design philosophy is.
Now whilst he says making every building unique is a difficult challenge, he assures us that the world of Night City is very large and that in order to provide a visually interesting world, assets are created by eye and details like color and signage will be diverse and as non repetitive as possible. In the gameplay demo you can recall that a lot of the signage was the same, and we saw repeated vendors at times so that is something that they are iterating and working on for release.
The game director also made mention that Cyberpunk is a fusion of future and tradition and that it’s not quite science fiction, but at the same time it’s not contemporary.
Youll be able to find an old dirty Asian style building with a woodern door, with a cybertech device used to control the doors lock and this creates a mixed aesthetic of the setting.
Now CDPR also wants this Cyberpunk version of the city to feel distinctly Californian, as opposed to the rainy gloomy Cyberpunk dystopias weve seen before. Iconic neon lights and rainy night are still there, but there are also colorful buildings, palm trees and blue skies. As someone who really feels the depth of a dark and twisted world more deeply when its juxtaposed with color, I think this is a great design choice.
Due to it’s design, Night City isn’t bigger than the world of the witcher but Sakakibara believes it will feel the same size if not bigger.
Next we have a comprehensive PCGamer article where some interesting details regarding NPCs are unraveled.
In this article Stanis Swieciki talks about the creation process of NPCs. He claims that crowds are generated semi-procedurally to avoid repetition, mixing body parts, faces, clothes and hairstyles. In the final game they’ve promised to feature a great variety of heights, weights and body shapes. We’ve seen hints of this through the gameplay demo with some characters being beefier, leanier and having variations in their builds. We have also seen some pretty blatant repetiton, which signals that there is still work to be done in this department.
The article also goes in to a little depth regarding the animations and how the perspective changes will influence the dialogue. (Machai) Maciej Pietras, lead cinematic animator says “The third person camera in the witcher floated slightly above NPCs which we took into account when animating them. But now you can really look at what theyre doing close up and weve improved animations to reflect this. When we animate characters, even the NPCs, we think about their personality and their past. The way they move or something in their face might reveal something about them, we work from the inside out.”
Now this clear attention to detail can be seen in the Mexican holdup scene in the meeting with the Maelstrom. Although not a facial animation, we see V take her finger off the trigger when things have cooled down, a detail that could have been forgone by studios who aren’t as detail oriented.
When it comes to facial animations specifically however, they’ve changed the way they do them. Moving to a new muscle based system, and having a huge library of facial animations lets them pick out subtle details to incorporate in the face. Pietras adds the example of a street vendor and his excitiement through his body language and warmth of face as he ushers you over to his pop up noodle hut to take a look at his food.
Finally we have disappointing news about the VGAs. Marcin Momot tweeted yesterday that there wouldn’t be anything Cyberpunk related shown at the Video Game Awards and thus ive decided to cancel the livestream for December 6th. We will still have livestreams in the future, so follow me at Twitch.tv/theneonarcadeNA for cyberpunk realted content there

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Q4 Release, Video Game Awards, Tweet!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news well be looking at an interesting tweet sent out by Cyberpunk 2077 , a shareholders conference featuring some Cyberpunk 2077 release predictions by analysts involved, A great RedBull article pointing out some things in Cyberpunk 2077 we may have missed and The Video Game Awards.
So first up we have a polish article referencing a CDPR conference call, where some interesting details were revealed. Now this Article is very roughly translated using google translate so the wording may be off here and there, but you can kind of get the gist of it based off this rudimentary translation. First up in the article, We have the fact that CD Projekt Red wants Cyberpunk 2077 to be as detailed as Red Dead 2, something we have mentioned in previous videos. We do also have some analyst projections and predictions when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077.
According to those involved in the conference call, some are predicting a quarter 4 2019 release of CDPR’s new open world RPG. Just for reference quarters are as you can imagine in 3 month cycles during the year, making a quarter 4 release sometime in either October, November or December. It’s important to note that the analysts have made these predictions, and it’s not something straight from CD Projekt Red.
Next in analysts forecasts is how many copies of the game will sell upon release. According to the analysts they’ve maintained the assumption that there will be 19 million copies sold in the first quarter equating to 525 million us dollars. For reference Red Dead 2 sold 725 USD in 3 days, 15 million copies in 8 days, and 17 million copies in 12 days, and only came out for PS4 and Xbox 1.
The analysts also mentioned that they think the Sci-fi cyberpunk world has more mass appeal than a western setting and that their forecast for Cyberpunk’s sales are conservative. The article then goes on to question the analysts, as whoever wrote it doesn’t seem to think 19 million is conservative.
Now again this article is very roughly translated, but to me the fact that they believe a sci fi cyberpunk world has more mass appeal, but sales being considereably lower than RDR2, which is not even available on PC, makes me question these forecasts. If we are reading this right, I think Cyberpunk should have considereably more sales than 19 million assuming it accrues sales the entire 3 months, which spans holiday seasons which will inevitably sell more games, but hey im no analyst.
Next we have an interesting little tweet from CDPR that was sent out on Cyber Monday. Now, yes it could just be because the word Cyber is in it, but judging by how infrequently the 2077 page tweets, and their responses to some comments, im thinking this is a more loaded tweet than it first appears to be.
Next we have an amazing article from believe it or not, RedBull. In this article they lay out some of the details carried over to Cyberpunk 2077 from cyberpunk media and content that has come before it. In this article it shows how the red UI and HUD are inspired from the terminator series. Kiroshi even seems to follow the same terminator aesthetic with its eye augmentations. Next is the Stanley Kubrick and steven Spielberg collaboration film Artificial Intelligence and how an overpopulated earth deals with issues stemming from the loneliness and isolation that is created as a by product of service robots who can provide all the human essentials in love, sex and laughter. This may be something that Cyberpunk may decide to deal with. We already see the isiolation and sadness in V’s face upon the departure of a Joyboy prostitute from her apartment in the gameplay demo.
Next we have the themes of braindance which exposes humans dependence on technology and cross-references that with the novel Neuromancer, about a drug addicted computer hacker who uploads his consciousness onto the internet to steal data. This sounds very much like netrunning, a pivotal part in the Cyberpunk lore and world. This concept of speed hacking and web consciousness was also made more popular by the Matrix Movies.
Next we have Ghost In The Shell and its heady questions on individuality and human existence. It deals with the transfer of consciousness into a robotic shell, which in essence draws upon parallel concepts in Cyberpunk 2077’s cyberpsychosis and the humanity cost associated with cyberware.
Finally we have Blade Runners inspiration for the look of the city of Cyberpunk with its neon lights, filthy dark streets and and decrepit living conditions. Although Blade Runner is set in perpetual darkness, the world of Night City is modelled off a very similar street aesthetic and feeling.
Finally we have the Video Games Awards coming up soon here on December 6th, so tune in and check that out because it’s the last big event of the year, and CDPR might hit us with a trailer or some cyberpunk content like they’ve done with the witcher in the past.

Cyberpunk 2077 – NCPD & Night City Police! (Explained!)

In this explained episode we’ll look at all law enforcement departments ranging from the beat patrol to the vice department, to the MAX Tac and Riot teams. There’s a ton of divisions in the police force and NCPD in Night City so lets take a better look!

The Night City police department is the premier law enforcement in Night City founded in 1994. There headquarters are situated in Night City in Sector C4 in Little China, and we can also see a NCPD branch in sector C9 during the E3 Trailer. Although it does seem to have changed since then as we see sector 27 in the gameplay demo.

The NCPD is split into a couple of divisions in the patrol unit, beat patrol, traffic, cruiser, and airborne control units. There are also more advanced divisions such as the investigative, vice, robbery, homicide, special investigations, tactical SWAT, MAX Tac and Riot divisions.

First we have the patrol unit. They are the largest divison in in the NCPD and their primary purpose is to patrol any given sector to enforce the law and reduce crime. The nature of the role is dangerous due to how twisted the world of Night City is and thus the Night City Government pumps a lot of funding into this division.

Beat patrol cops are similar to regular patrol police, but are assigned to their designated sector. In past years patrols consisted of a singular patrolling officer, but with threats like gangs, corporate shootouts, riots, drugs and psychos, they’ve bumped it up to two patrolling officers. Kind of doesn’t seem like that would be enough with all things considered, but maybe sectors are actually quite small. They have standard issue equipment like a vest and 9 mm pistol.

Traffic patrol are the lowest of the low on the hierarchy and usually given out as punishment roles by higher ups in the police force. Their role is to enforce traffic laws, and the flow of traffic in Night City.

Next is cruiser patrol which is a step up from the standard beat cop. They drive a BMW600, and assist beat cops on their patrol of a sector. Cruiser patrol is a little more dangerous in Night City due to it being a higher profile job.

Airborne patrol is next and this division operates helicopters, aerodynes and other AVs to patrol Nigh Cities skies. They are usually used as heavy backup needed in a moments notice. Air units typically consist of a pilot, 2 beat cops and officer and a medic.

The investigation division is smaller than that of the patrol division, but is seen as a step up. As you can imagine they carry out all criminal investigations within Night City. These cops are referred to as “Plainclothes” and are known to have the greatest knowledge of the city.

The vice department primarily deals with narcotics with an emphasis on trafficking, possession and distribution as well as prostitution, gambling and weapons crimes. A majority of their cases are undercover with vice cops spending months on end infiltrating dangerous gangs in the worst parts of the city. They are equipped with cybernetics primarily for infiltration and surveillance.

Next we have the robbery department. This department deals with armed robbery, burglary, auto-theft, grand larceny, fraud, counterfeiting and embezzlement. This department gets a lot of funding due to their dealings with high value crime.

Next is the Homicide department, who deal with mass-mureder to aggravated assault and the ever growing problem of corporate murders. They can deal with up to 50 murders per day in Night City which takes a big toll on their psychological well-being.

Next we have the special investigations department or SIN. They deal with more large scale and serious crimes that may need involvement from multiple departments. These crimes include mass murder, corporate espionage, wide spread organized crime, high profile kidnappings, counterfeiting and brutal murders. Other divisions generally don’t like the SIN department due to it receiving some of the most funding and taking over pre-existing cases.

The SWAT or Special Weapons and Tactics divison are a rapid response unit trained to deal with high risk situations. 10 SWAT members equipped with police vehicles and combat oriented cybernetics are assigned in dealing with heavily armed shootouts, sieges, and security for high profile targets.

Next we have the MAX TAC also called the Cyborg suppression unit or Psycho Squad. They are a step above the SWAT and deal exclusively with Cyberpsychos. If you want to learn more about Cyberpsychos and Cyberpsychosis ill link a card in the top right for you guys to check out.

Finally we have the RIOT Team. They are on call 24/7 and are essentially dispatched in response to riots to control the crowds and chaos. Riot teams consist of 10 troopers lead by a single officer and are issued riot shields, armor, tear gas, and non lethal ammunition. They use unique weapons like the Arasaka Nauseator!

Cyberpunk 2077 – Release Date 2019? (Part 3!)

Today we have part 3 of my series on why I think Cyberpunk 2077 will release in 2019 with some more evidence and clues that we won’t have to wait for 2020 and we may get Cyberpunk 2077 in Q2/Q3 in 2019 and a potential release date from CDPR at the end of the year.

Now looking back we were one of the first channels if not the first to have 2019 predictions for a Cyberpunk release before everyone else caught up to speed, so go check those out in the playlist for more reasons why 2019 may be the date. Of course the release date hasn’t been announced yet, but when it is 2019, we can say “I told you so” to the flocks of people that were saying 2020, and get a little ego boost off of it.

So our first hint here is going way back into a 2016 Investors Call. As you guys know, despite CDPR being an equitable company and forgoing micro-transactions and things of that nature, they are a company and they are answerable to investors. Now in this investors call it was strongly hinted that the game would have to be out prior to June 2019. Now combine this with the bilkom leak, foreign magazines saying June 2019, the history of CDPR releasing titles in May, The Polish government’s funding grant expiring in June 2019, and that fact the game is Playable from start to finish with the polishing phase being the next big chunk CDPR has to contend with, and we get a more well-rounded picture of the release.

Next we have Cyberpunk 2077’s presence on the Xbox One X enhanced list. The fact that it is even showing up on this list as a confirmed game, gives us some more insight that CDPR has the confidence to start putting Cyberpunk 2077 out there in the minds of consumers. Now this list is a way to inform consumers that the title on the list has taken full advantage of the power of the Xbox One X and it’s engine. If that is true and they are confident in putting Cyberpunk 2077 on the list, that means the game from a mechanical and developmental standpoint is at a point where they can confidently say that. In addition, games generally get the Xbox one enhancement treatment post launch, which is a great sign for an imminent release date.

Next we have magazines. Edge magazine as well as PC Gamer has made Cyberpunk 2077 their front cover for their November issues. Now CDPR holds their hands close to their chest and don’t allow fans to get excited for no reason. Having your game on the front cover of a magazine, and it still being 2 years out doesn’t make a ton of business sense when it comes to marketing campaigns. We didn’t think we were going to get the gameplay reveal until literally 24 hours before hand with the transmission stream on Twitch and even the most optimistic speculation wasn’t that we’d be getting the reveal. It seems like CDPR likes to stay quite and surprise with good news. They underpromise and overdeliver, a trait of a company who knows their own identity as a developer.

Now going back to them holding their cards close to their chest, they do answer questions via Facebook on a daily basis. Some answers are “we aren’t sure at the moment” but those are generally very specific questions, that are highly subject to change.

More generalized questsions are answered, and their answers are fully fleshed out as they have a good idea on the direction for the game. For a company who took 7 years of silence to release an E3 trailer after the teaser, this is pretty big.

Now the gameplay demo has been out for 2 ish months at this point, but the fact that they released it at all is frankly pretty surprising. 48 minutes is an absurd amount of gameplay, and I doubt we will be seeing much more than that. How will CDPR keeps fans satisfied up until release now that we’ve been given something to really chew on. My guess would be a small marketing push at the end of this year leading into the new year, with a release date coming as soon as Christmas or New Years

Cyberpunk 2077 – 7 Gameplay Demo Details You Missed!

today we’re looking at 7 details and moments in the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo / reveal you might have missed. Did you spot any of these in your viewings? There is a ton of details in the Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Demo i’m still finding after 20+ viewings, so give this Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Demo Details video some love and ill be sure to make future episodes with more of my findings! Let’s get right into it.

At number 7 we have the use of cell phones. We see this in the E3 trailer, and in the gameplay demo multiple times, with some girl taking a selfie. We see V has intercranial cyberware to answer calls, but some other resident of Night City may not be as fortunate. It seems they are stuck with cellphones which as you can imagine in 2077, might be pretty outdated.

At number 6 we have the NCART which is the Night City Train Service. We see the rails as the world of Night City opens up to us as we walk out onto the streets for the first time, but there is also a peculiar detail that fits the narrative and story of Cyberpunks densely populated metropolis. We see that the trains can be mounted under the rail and over the rail in the name of efficiency and space, and we can see two trains on both the upper and lower rails passing through sector 27 in the gameplay demo.

At number 5 we have confirmation of animals, with a cat outside the Ripper Docs office, who seems to be eating out of a cat bowl. Maybe it belongs to Viktor or Misty from the ripper doc clinic, or it may be a stray. If you guys recall, I pointed out the fact that there was Kibble in V’s apartment in my gameplay analsysis video, but according to the sourcebook of Cyberpunk 2020, kibble is actually just food for lower class people swho can’t afford higher quality grub, and isn’t actually Kibble, the pet food we know of today. Regardless, this confirms animals in the game which I know a lot of you guys have been asking about.

Next up we have confirmation that personal computers and emailing will be In the game in a prompt in the top right hand corner of the screen telling V to “check the email from ripperdoc”. We know the net is going to play a pivotal place in the world and storyof cyberpunk 2077, but it seems 50+ years in the future, there are still simple PCs and people still communicate via email. Some things may never change.

Next we catch a glimpse of a megacorporation which is largely still unknown in the world of Night City. We see vendors like Kabayan foods, Masala studios and buck a slice quite often, and we meet Militech agents and see Arasaka megastructures in the distance, but we only catch sight of new megacorp Thortech for a brief second in the gameplay demo. It seems like it’s one of the more powerful megacorporations with a seemingly central location and within a giant skyscraper megabuilding. If I had to guess, thortech would be some sort of Robotics company that supplies Night City with service robots.

Next we see the Arasaka logo briefly when V wakes up in her apartment after what looks like a crazy night. This might help us conceptualize where exactly V’s apartment is, and begs the question if Arasaka owns multiple buildings in Night City. It would make sense as they are one of the most powerful if not the most powerful megacorp.

Finally we have the sight of a new band in The Cartesian Duelists. We’ve heard Johnny silverhand as well as electronic music so far from Cyberpunk, so it’s cool to see that there will be a diverse cast of music artists and styles, including Lizzy Wizzy and the Metadwarves, Samura, The Cartesian Duelists and more.

Thanks for watching guys, and come join the arcade by subscribing for consistent Cyberpunk 2077 content.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Music, Hacking & VS The Witcher 3!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News episode well be looking at some new details about final development, cyberpunks popularity versus the witcher, hacking and netrunning details, and the music and composition of Cyberpunk 2077.

So first up we Adamn Kicinski and some new information he revealed during CDPR’s Quarter 3 2018 Financial call. In this call he compared and contrasted the interest in Witcher 3 trailers versus Cyberpunk 2077 trailers on YouTube, during pre development. Adam kicinski mentions that based on the trailer realeases the popularity of Cyberpunk is many times greater than that of the witcher 3, during the time phase it was releasing trailers. He does go on to mention that we shouldn’t draw to many conclusions from this, as its almost comparing apples to oranges, but nonetheless it’s interesting to see that Cyberpunk is a game with seemingly more mass appeal.

Kicinski also goes into details abouy the fact that Cyberpun 2077 is currently fully playable from start to finish, some information we learned at GamesCom 2018. This is still a true fact, and Kicinski mentions that development is progressing fast and on schedule, but there is a “hugely important” phase of polishing at the end of development.

Now if you want some insight into what these kind of polishings can be, look no farther than comparisons from the E3 trailer to the Gameplay Demo. This scene in particular highlights just how much more detail and work goes into their polishing phase.

Kicinski also mentioned that CDPR are striving to make the game as refined as Red Dead 2 after being asked about Rockstars success with that game.

Next we have details on the music and score of Cyberpunk 2077., It seems thatMarcin Pryzbylowicz will compose the score and soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077. Pryzbylowicz also worked on The Witcher 3 which had an excellent soundtrack and hes very well known in Poland for it. This article also mentions how the score and composition will be made in house.

The soundtrack from the E3 trailer was from the artist Hyper and isn’t reflective of the sounds that well hear in game. The demo is more on par with what we will hear and If the music we heard in the gameplay reveal is any indication of what’s to come, we are in good hands.

Next up we have a facebook message conversation between a fan and the Cyberpunk 2077 facebook page, that gives us some information about hacking and netrunning in the game. If you guys haven’t checked it out yet, I’ve gone through 10 of the big questions answered via their Facebook group, so go check it out for even more news. Ill link it in the top for you guys.

In this particular message the user asks about how hacking will work. CDPR responds with Netrunning will definetley be in the game, and that youll be able to use it to open doors, distract enemies and help during missions. Youll also be able to gather intel and information to use to your advantage such as interesting locations and more. This last bit is really intriguing as you can possibly hack a certain system and learn about hidden areas, quests or content. This means hacking will also play a pivotal role in getting to know the world, and isn’t just a gameplay mechanic within Cyberpunk 2077.

Lastly, Cyberpunk 2077 won the Golden Joystick award for most anticipated and wanted game, so head on over to twitter and send them a congratulatory tweet.

That’s it for me guys but for everything and anything Cyberpunk 2077, subscribe to the arcade.

Cyberpunk 2077 Questions Answered By CD Projekt Red!

Today we have some of the big cyberpunk 2077 questions that have been answered by CD PROJEKT RED themselves via their Cyberpunk 2077 Facebook Page. It seems this is the best place to ask questions as they are extremely active and tend to respond very quickly to their fans and their questions and concerns. If you guys have future questions for CDPR message them on Facebook, and you might get some answers.

We have 10 of the most interesting fan questions that have been asked that we finally have some answers to. Stick around for all 10 and learn some new details about CDPRs new game set in the dark future of Night City.

So the first question is what kind of music and music culture should we expect in Night City?

CDPR answers with “We’re marrying cyber and punk. Cyber refers to sonic texture and revolves around a sound palette that is raw, dirty, synthesized and even futuristic. Punk is about the attitude of the music. Rebellious, ballsy and impulsive, Night City’s music is just as vibrant as the city itself.” They also aren’t limiting themselves to a singular genre and want the music to reflect the narrative and story path.

I love their explanation here, and the soundtrack we’ve heard so far. the heavy synth of the music blaring in the Scav lair and Chippin In, the rock song heard in V’s apartment on the radio by Johnny Silverhand, both sound like they could be records that top our real world charts.

Next we have an interesting question about some of the mechanics in the game. A fan asks “Will the game have any stealth elements? Silenced pistol perhaps?”

CDP Projekt Red responds with Enemies won’t always be aware of the player, and you can use this to your advantage by sneaking up on enemies, laying traps and deploying viruses. The plan of attack is just as important as the execution. Players won’t be forced into a play style so they have the freedom to be creative in their combat approaches. Shooting through walls and bending bullters as well as stealth are part of your repertoire”

This is great news for fans of games that you can progress through without alerting enemies or even killing them to complete mission objectives. I’m interested to see just how much diversity there will be in combat and choosing our play style, and if it is significantly deeper than previous titles that share similar mechanics.

The next questions gets a very straight matter of fact answer. The question is in reference to V being able to unlock or buy additional apartments, to which CD Projekt Red responds that V will be able to as the story progresses. This means potentially owning multiple apartments, with nicer views and amenities. Maybe we’ll be able to buy a shitshack in the Combat Zone and really feel like we are in a decrepid and despicable place, or a penthouse suite similar to what a prolific corporate agent would choose.

Next we have a question about if we are able to join factions or corporations. CDPR responds that “Cyberpunks value freedom the most, and that you’ll be able to work for many factions, but you wouldn’t want or need to permanently join them in the context of the story”. It makes sense since V strikes me as more of a lone wolf, trust nobody type.

Our next question is regarding weapon skins and if mantis blades are our only option as far as melee combat goes. CDPR responds with they have no plans for skins, and that mantis blades will not be the only melee option. I don’t really think weapon skins fit the 2077 aesthetic, but we will be able to customize and mod our weapons to make them aesthetically unique.

The next question is “will the game feature lots of internal buildings and houses we can explore fully, or break into?” to which they answer “Night city has lots and I mean lots of buildings and all these buildings have multiple floors. In a tall building we will have many floors explorable, each housing many activities.”

We’ve gotten a taste of this in V’s megastructure, but im hoping we get to see some more crazy odd and violent things happening right at home in these megastructures

Next we have a question about photo mode, where CDPR has said that they are planning to have photo mode in the game. It’s unclear if it’s going to be at launch, but it should satisfy those who want to see their character in 3rd person more often.

Next CD Projekt Red states that PC and console launches will be at the same time, and that you will be able to see your feet and body looking down from First person perspective.

Finally the most important question that’s been asked thus far, will Night City have squirrels, to which CD Projekt Red responds with “their better be.” I think this confirms finding a cybersquirrels buried nut stash as a high level quest in the game.

Thanks for watching guys, and remember to subscribe for more Cyberpunk 2077 content.
