Cyberpunk 2077 News – Keanu DOUBLES Screentime, CDPR’s Big Purchase & More CEs Released?!

Keanu Reeves might have given us a VERY BIG hint that the writing in Cyberpunk 2077 is looking to be very promising, CD PROJEKT RED’s new acquisition, Collectors Edition details that you will want to know about if you are still in the market, a New App to Cyberpunk yourself, some countdown to the dark future episodes featuring Cyberpets and some community creations all in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news & updates episode!

Starting off with the most time sensitive news Collectors Editions for Cyberpunk 2077 have seemingly started to creep back into stock in various US retailers after CDPR mentioned that there would likely be no re-stocks of the CE and it was extremely limited. If you haven’t had a chance to get your hand on the CE, and if you are in the US, I would definitely look into BestBuy and GameStop right now as these are the places, I can confirm have online stock.

Next up we have details about Keanu Reeves and his increasing role behind the scenes of Cyberpunk. In an article by WCCFTech and originating from TGCOM Journalist Gian Luca Rocco who spoke with Keanu Reeves Italian Dubber Luca Ward, the “Canadian actor” enjoyed his Cyberpunk 2077-character Johnny Silverhand so much he actually pushed to get his “screen time” doubles, which in turn led to doubling Luca Wards lines for the Italian dub.
Now this is a guy who does a ton of things for others on set, and really doesn’t seem to make anything about him frequently staying out of the limelight, and overall just being really philanthropic on and off his sets. For him to actively want to double the screen time just really says how much Keanu likely feels aligned with the project and its overall quality.

Speaking of Johnny Silverhand, the Cyberpunk 2077 twitter tweeted out a picture of the guitar CDPR took on their world tour showcase to various conventions across the globe to show off Cyberpunk 2077. Really awesome design here, and as we’ve shown before they also feature a toon of posters and ads at their booths including Silverhand’s Album, Kerry Eurodyne posters, as well as products, braindances and more.

Next up we have a new face filter app from CDPR which allows us to Cyberpunk ourselves through various surface wiring and facial augments. You can look like some Maelstromers and Cyberpunks easily by downloading this Facebook specific filter.

Next up we have big news from CD PROJEKT RED …

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Gamescom, Weapon Details & Lady Gaga!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news video we’ll be detailing Lady Gaga and celebrity presence in 2077, why it’s not what you think it is, Weapon optics and attachments, A New Cyberpunk 2077 tweet, CD PROJEKT RED’s presence at upcoming Gamescom, some Countdown to the Dark Future facts.

First on today’s news segment we have Cyberpunk 2077 weapon customization details. We now have confirmation via twitter that weapon optics will be customizable. This is great news for those of us who prefer certain styles of crosshairs and optics when it comes to shooters. I personally prefer this v shaped red dot on my sights, or some of the more simple crosshairs, but I know there are holographic loyalists, traditional red dot fanatics, and even people who prefer ironsights, so it should be interesting to see how this will make the gunplay more dynamic and interesting. In a past news episode we mentioned how in a French interview with Maciej Pietras that you might be able to swap the hand you hold your weapons in as well, which just adds to this customizability potential.

Next we have the confirmation that CD PROJEKT RED will be at Gamescom 2019 running from August 20th to 24th. For those thinking CDPR would actually release the game during or after E3 this kind of puts a stake in your theories as they will presumably be sharing more details on Cyberpunk 2077, much like how they did in 2018. CD PROJEKT is listed as one of the companies attending Gamescom, so hopefully after E3 we will get some more amazing details on Cyberpunk 2077.

Next in Cyberpunk 2077 news we have rumors of Lady Gaga being associated with some work for CD PROJEKT RED on Cyberpunk 2077. Way back we talked about celebrity possibilities in Cyberpunk 2077, when it was mentioned by a reddit user that Kanye West was following Cyberpunk 2077 on Twitter, and this intriguing tweet that Cyberpunk 2077 sent to Lady Gaga. It does seem that according to French publication ActuGaming, Lady Gaga was spotted in the CD PROJEKT RED studio, and was rumored to be doing motion capture work. I can see her doing some voice acting as well, which to be honest wouldn’t be a half bad thing because it gives Cyberpunk 2077 more notoriety and she might do a certain role in the game justice. It’s also been speculated that her character could be Lizzy Wizzy, a popular musical celebrity in Night City, but we currently aren’t sure. Now to me, If I hear an NPC in the game or even if its Lizzy Wizzy, ill probably recognize Gaga’s voice and associate that character with her and it will kind of strip me out of the experience.

Next we have a tweet from the Cyberpunk 2077 twitter, which is as vague as it is curious. Now they tweeted this gif of a robot popping some popcorn and cracking a cold one. Obviously this robot is readying himself to be enjoying some sort of entertainment. Now is this an analogy for what we will be doing shortly? Is it in response to the whole Lady Gaga rumors where they are sitting back and watching us implode with speculation and guessing? Are they just really savage trolls? Who knows, but something tells me we should sit back and get ready for some incoming fresh content. First person to comment that im grasping on this one gets a virtual high five because I agree.

Next we have some Details via Countdown to the Dark future about the cyberpunk lore. In episode 73 we learn that most Americans in the world of 2020, the source material for 2077 eat kibble, which are dry grainy nuggets with vitamins and a small amount of protein. It sounds like something a dog or a cat would eat, and we can see Kibble in V’s apartment in the Gameplay demo. Kibble comes in a variety of flavours and textures and makes up 70% of the average American Diet.

SCOP is also part of the American diet and is vat grown protein which mimics a variety of different foods. SCOP is more expensive than Kibble.

In episode 79 we learn about fire arm companies BudgetArms and Dai Lung. We see BudgetArms in the gameplay demo, makes the tech shotgun and both companies make firearms that are affordable. The C-13 from BudgetArms is half as much as the Federated Arms X-22, and we use a federated arms vindicator machine pistol in the demo. Maybe this means V isn’t as poor as the average Cyberpunk. Dai Lung Cybermag 15 is even cheaper than the C-13 whilst still rivalling the X-22.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Johnny Silverhand & Rockerboys!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video we will be talking about Johnny Silverhand, Rockerboys, Samurai + How it started, the rockerboy class and Johnny Silverhands involvement with Samurai as one of the most famous Rockerboys in Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk 2077.
Rockerboys are a class in Cyberpunk who use music in combination with a rebellious attitude to fight authority. Rockerboys live for rock and roll and are modern day street poets who have the ability to spread their ideals, music, lyrics and message to everyone. In a world where corporations rule with an iron fist, Rockerboys who are at the top of their game have a surprising amount of power and are able to amass followings to take down corporate giants and lead armies and troops onto the streets to fight the system. Rockerboys don’t care about the repercussions of what they are saying in their lyrics. They spit in the faces of those abusing power, and they’ll do it with a smile. We won’t be able to be a Rockerboy in 2077, but you can bet we will run into Rockerboys and girls through our adventures in Night City.
Powerful rockerboys of the past in the world of Cyberpunk include Bob Dylan, Springsteen, The Who, Elvis Presley and The stones.
Now not all Rockerboys and girls are musicians. They can also fall into the subsections of Street poets, performance artists, social leaders and politicians.
Street poets are the most similar to their purely musician counterparts, but they use their words and only their words propelled by their deliveries, and theatrics to fire up the public.
Performance artists make impressions and a statement using plays, skits, and visual presentations before their public audiences.
Social leaders are charismatic rebellious higher ups who are on the front line in the war against the greed and bloodlust of megacorporations. With charismatic presentations, they stimulate movements and social change. Malcom X, Martin Luther King, Che Guevera are just some examples of this archetype.
Politicians of the rockerboy variety are not corrupt or selfish in their pursuits. Crusading heroes like JFK and Winston Churchill are your role model as a Rockerboy politican, and your main focus is to righteously serve your people.
Rockerboys have special skills in general including the ability to brawl, play instruments, be streetwise, theatrical performances, and can be very persuasive and seductive. Their special Ability stemming from the original table top game is a skill called Charismatic Leadership.
Johnny Silverhand is a famous Rockerboy singer and guitarist known for his silver-chrome Cyberarm. He is also a ex-Central American vet with a history of failed relationships. Silverhand opposes Arasaka Corporation for a variety of reasons from the loss of his arm to the death of many of his close friends. Now Johnny Eventually went on to produce a solo album, but before that he was a part of a rockband named Samurai featuring Kerry Eurodyne on vocals and guitar, denny as a drummer, Nancy / Bes Isis as the keyboardist and Henry on bass guitar.
Samurai was first discovered in 2003 by Jack Masters, an executive at Universal Music after seeing their performance at a bar called the Rainbow Cadenza, a backstreet bar in Night City.Their first single was Blistering Love and was a hit skyrocketing to #1 on the EuroCharts. Samurai’s first Album was called A Cool Metal Fire and featured Dancing With My Axe, Never Fade Away, Out of the City and the song we hear in the gameplay demo, Chippin In’ This presumably means that we will be hearing all the other songs on this album in the full release of Cyberpunk 2077. Samurai makes another appearance in the form of a Samurai jacket in the gameplay demo.
Samurai eventually split up in 2008. The catalyst to them parting ways was Nancy going to jail for seven months after she threw her abusive husband out the window of an 83rd story apartment. The band supported her through this time, but creatively they all drifted apart to do their own thing.
Henry ended up moving on to work on a human interface prototype, but an accident friend his brain and he had to rebuild his mind.
Denny joined a Band called Mastermind and Nancy become a major media presence on Network 54, a prolific news station in Night City.
Johnny Silverhand and Kerry Eurodyne both ventured off into solo careers, often performing and touring together.
After Samurai split up however a media corporation called Diverse Media Systems attempted to sign Johnny Silverhand by any means necessary. This included threats, violence and blackmail. They discovered the ex-Central American vet was actually a deserter who left the USMC whilst still serving in the central and south American wars.
Silverhands first solo album, Sins of your brothers was released in 2009 and included songs that explained the reality of the wars, governmental lies, experimental cybernetics programs for soldiers and his pwn actions when he was involved.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – New Hirings & CD Projekt Red VS Blizzard

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news video we are going to be talking about some big moves that CD PROJEKT RED has made with New Hirings, how it relates to another studio in Blizzard entertainment, New hires and potential hires for CD PROJEKT RED, soundtrack details, some Countdown to the dark future tidbits including cyberware for animals, trauma team and the people of night city.
First up in this news episode we have some new details when it comes to CD PROJEKT RED’s staff.

First we have Creative director and writer Sebastian Stepien leaving the CDPR team to pick up a job with Blizzard studios, according to his Linked In Profile. Sebastian worked on The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, with his role in Cyberpunk 2077 being a narrative and setting director. Now CDPR has seen a lot of changes within their network as Associate design director Kyle Rowley has left and Manuel menulice has come in as a former level designer of games like Rime. The studio has also recently been making multiple job listings for cinematic directors, lighting artists, environment artists and even recently Game Programmer

Now Sebastian leaving, can be taken as a good and a bad thing. In one sense, we know his role on Cyberpunk 2077 is done, and that being a big chunk in the writing and creative direction means that we can forecast the game is moving a long nicely.

Regarding other changes within the network, my thoughts are they are future proofing their staff with new add ons, implementing these new pick ups into DLCs, and even designating some of these on the multiplayer aspect which is still in research and development and needs the additional firepower this new workforce will bring. If you guys are stressing out, don’t because this is normal and this doesn’t necessarily mean, that there are delays. In fact, CDPR employees have said that they are on track, presumably with their internal release date they have set within the studio.

Next we have Some soundtrack details via the CD PROJEKT RED and Cyberpunk 2077 forums. We have this via Marcin Momot who responded to a Cyberpunk 2077 Soundtrack thread where people were posting songs they thought would fit into the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Within the first pages, Marcin responded to a poster who said “I hope they take these into consideration” twith the statement “We will”. Funny enough, he responded later with “A lot of the music that had been posted was off, and that people would be surprised by what they are creating”. I know a lot of people are expecting Synthwave since it’s almost quintessential Cyberpunk, but again the music will be created in house. If you guys are unaware, synthwave is a genre of electronic music influenced by the 1980s most from films and video games.
Synthwave cover art generally features retrofuturism which draws in a lot of elements of 1980s and 190s sci fi like Cyberpunk and guys like Pertubator have kind of spearheaded the cyberpunk synthwave movement. We know the music will be experimental in nature and offer both Grimey, and raw electronica and the punk and rebellious tones of songs from Johnny Silverhand and Samurai .
Next we have some awesome CountDown To The Darkfuture episodes by RTalsorian games, which expand our knowledge on the world of Cyberpunk in a short and concise write up. Recently they’ve had details about Trauma Team, The people of Night City and Cyberware. Keep in mind these are for Cyberpunk 2020, but they do have implications for 2077. In episode 16 of the countdown We get some information about Trauma team. According to this TT are headquarted in LA and have a workforce of 17,000 strong. Each unit consists of a senior medtech, driver, assistant and two security officers. The Trauma team travels in a AV-4 Urban Assault Aerodyne loaded with advanced medical technology including a mobile cryotank.
Next we have some pretty cool cyberware details in episode 27. According to this one animals can be fitted with cyberware as well as people. Dogs are the most common type of cyberpet, but theres also horses, primates, sharks and even bats. You can augment your pets to include sensory boosts, berserk chips for a frenzied attack modes, cyberweapons and more.
Next we have details on the people of Night City. From the top of the foodchain to the bottom we have Powerdealers who are elite CEOs and celebrities, Corpzoners which are executives at the top of the game, and movers who are ambitious young corps looking to clim the ladder.
In the middle of the food chain we have Edgerunners, who are Cyberpunks looking to make some extra coin in whatever way they can. We also have mallplexers, who are the struggling middle class.
At the bottom of the food chain we have Beavers, who are low level corp managers, and streetscum the urban poor of night city.
Next we have Hollie Bennet as a new hire for CD PROJEKT RED’s UK PR Manager position. She comes from Playstation All Access team, which is a group that covers everything Playstation.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Music, Soundtrack & Sound Design (Explained!)

Today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video includes Cyberpunk 2077’s music composition, soundtrack, sound design, Samurai, Rockerboys, the Fusion of Cyber and Punk, Licensing of artists, Cyberpunk radio and clubs, dynamic music and sound cues as well as Musical inspiration for Cyberpunk 2077 coming from the likes of BladeRunner, Akira and Ghost In The Shell.

First and foremost let’s take a Look at what kind of sounds we will hear in Cyberpunk 2077 and their Music and Soundtrack. CD Projekt Red answered a fan regarding their musical direction In a brief message via Facebook. In this message they mention marrying the Cyber with the punk with cyber referring to sonic texture, and a raw dirty, synthesized sound palette. Punk was all about the attitude of the music and being rebellious, ballsy and impulsive. They promise to make the soundtrack of Cyberpunk as colorful as the world of Night City and that they would be drawing from all genres to create a sound track that first and foremost leads the narrative and adds context to the story.

This means that the lore based classes in the rockerboys will come to life with the punk side of the music direction, and also netrunners and techies will feel at home too with the futuristic sounds reflective of their role and job in night city. From Johnny SIlverhand and his rebellious attitude inspired track Chippin In, to the dirty and dark pounding of the scavengers tunes permeating the gaffittied walls of their lair, This fusion seems apparent. In the same light larger than life celebrities and bands like Lizzy Wizzy and The Metadwarves and Samurai will have a large presence not only in their music, but how that music impacts celebrity worship in the dark future.

Now when it comes down to lead composition of the Soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red has decided to go with highly established music director Marcin Pryzbylowicz, who composed the epic and emotional Witcher 3 soundtrack, which is arguably the best video game soundtrack of the last decade. Also on the audio and musical direction team they have Bryan Mantia and Melissa reese. Bryan Mantia has worked with band like Guns N Roses and Primus and will be an integral part of the soundtrack. Vocalist and composer Melissa reese is also on the project and whose previous work can be seen in Bloodborne and INfamous second son.

In an interview with Mantia and in regards to Cyberpunk 2077 he claims “This project in particular has been a little challenging because the developers are looking for music that has never been heard before. They’re looking for music that would be made in the year 2077. I’m into it because I really love “white noise” and I figure that’s where music is going to be 60 years from now. Basically, this means every frequency within the range of human hearing from 20 to 20 thousand hertz. He ends with “I’m really digging the experimentation on this project”

This is pretty exciting because the genre is by nature very experimental, and if they pull off some truly unique sounds it could have a big impact on how how we look at the world of cyberpunk and the genre as a whole. Now on the flip side experimentation is also very polarizing and is a risky move.

Now according to CD Projekt Red themselves, the music of the game will be all produced in house meaning they won’t be licensing outside artists. They did this their trailers with Hyper’s song Spoiler being featured in the E3 trailer and Archive’s Bullets being featured In the Teasre trailer. This might mean radios stations, clubs and other areas in night city that are filled with the sounds of cyberpunk may infact be completely unique and made in house. Although there is some debate on whether or not we will see licensed music from other artists for the time being CDPR has stated otherwise.

In addition to all these things, music will be dynamic rather than scripted. If you remember my E3 audio leak video I compared two separate leaks of the gameplay demo and deduced that in the scavenger lair scene, there were in fact distinctly separate tracks running during the assault on the scavenger lair, meaning that there were two audio leaks out there. This also means that the music you can hear on the streets of Night City will be dynamic and will be fluid based on if its night or day, if you are in a specific kind of club, or potentially even your positioning on the map and what you are looking at.

This is further implied by Pryzbylowicz mentioning how the open setting of Cyberpunk allows for them to add sound ques.
He notes an example we’ve seen in the interaction with the Maelstrom. If things go south for you in the interaction and a shootout ensues the music will come to a boiling point and snap as you begin to fir your rounds into your enemies. If the deal goes down without a hitch, the anxiety laced synths die down and more calm music floods back into the background.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Music, Hacking & VS The Witcher 3!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News episode well be looking at some new details about final development, cyberpunks popularity versus the witcher, hacking and netrunning details, and the music and composition of Cyberpunk 2077.

So first up we Adamn Kicinski and some new information he revealed during CDPR’s Quarter 3 2018 Financial call. In this call he compared and contrasted the interest in Witcher 3 trailers versus Cyberpunk 2077 trailers on YouTube, during pre development. Adam kicinski mentions that based on the trailer realeases the popularity of Cyberpunk is many times greater than that of the witcher 3, during the time phase it was releasing trailers. He does go on to mention that we shouldn’t draw to many conclusions from this, as its almost comparing apples to oranges, but nonetheless it’s interesting to see that Cyberpunk is a game with seemingly more mass appeal.

Kicinski also goes into details abouy the fact that Cyberpun 2077 is currently fully playable from start to finish, some information we learned at GamesCom 2018. This is still a true fact, and Kicinski mentions that development is progressing fast and on schedule, but there is a “hugely important” phase of polishing at the end of development.

Now if you want some insight into what these kind of polishings can be, look no farther than comparisons from the E3 trailer to the Gameplay Demo. This scene in particular highlights just how much more detail and work goes into their polishing phase.

Kicinski also mentioned that CDPR are striving to make the game as refined as Red Dead 2 after being asked about Rockstars success with that game.

Next we have details on the music and score of Cyberpunk 2077., It seems thatMarcin Pryzbylowicz will compose the score and soundtrack of Cyberpunk 2077. Pryzbylowicz also worked on The Witcher 3 which had an excellent soundtrack and hes very well known in Poland for it. This article also mentions how the score and composition will be made in house.

The soundtrack from the E3 trailer was from the artist Hyper and isn’t reflective of the sounds that well hear in game. The demo is more on par with what we will hear and If the music we heard in the gameplay reveal is any indication of what’s to come, we are in good hands.

Next up we have a facebook message conversation between a fan and the Cyberpunk 2077 facebook page, that gives us some information about hacking and netrunning in the game. If you guys haven’t checked it out yet, I’ve gone through 10 of the big questions answered via their Facebook group, so go check it out for even more news. Ill link it in the top for you guys.

In this particular message the user asks about how hacking will work. CDPR responds with Netrunning will definetley be in the game, and that youll be able to use it to open doors, distract enemies and help during missions. Youll also be able to gather intel and information to use to your advantage such as interesting locations and more. This last bit is really intriguing as you can possibly hack a certain system and learn about hidden areas, quests or content. This means hacking will also play a pivotal role in getting to know the world, and isn’t just a gameplay mechanic within Cyberpunk 2077.

Lastly, Cyberpunk 2077 won the Golden Joystick award for most anticipated and wanted game, so head on over to twitter and send them a congratulatory tweet.

That’s it for me guys but for everything and anything Cyberpunk 2077, subscribe to the arcade.

Cyberpunk 2077 Questions Answered By CD Projekt Red!

Today we have some of the big cyberpunk 2077 questions that have been answered by CD PROJEKT RED themselves via their Cyberpunk 2077 Facebook Page. It seems this is the best place to ask questions as they are extremely active and tend to respond very quickly to their fans and their questions and concerns. If you guys have future questions for CDPR message them on Facebook, and you might get some answers.

We have 10 of the most interesting fan questions that have been asked that we finally have some answers to. Stick around for all 10 and learn some new details about CDPRs new game set in the dark future of Night City.

So the first question is what kind of music and music culture should we expect in Night City?

CDPR answers with “We’re marrying cyber and punk. Cyber refers to sonic texture and revolves around a sound palette that is raw, dirty, synthesized and even futuristic. Punk is about the attitude of the music. Rebellious, ballsy and impulsive, Night City’s music is just as vibrant as the city itself.” They also aren’t limiting themselves to a singular genre and want the music to reflect the narrative and story path.

I love their explanation here, and the soundtrack we’ve heard so far. the heavy synth of the music blaring in the Scav lair and Chippin In, the rock song heard in V’s apartment on the radio by Johnny Silverhand, both sound like they could be records that top our real world charts.

Next we have an interesting question about some of the mechanics in the game. A fan asks “Will the game have any stealth elements? Silenced pistol perhaps?”

CDP Projekt Red responds with Enemies won’t always be aware of the player, and you can use this to your advantage by sneaking up on enemies, laying traps and deploying viruses. The plan of attack is just as important as the execution. Players won’t be forced into a play style so they have the freedom to be creative in their combat approaches. Shooting through walls and bending bullters as well as stealth are part of your repertoire”

This is great news for fans of games that you can progress through without alerting enemies or even killing them to complete mission objectives. I’m interested to see just how much diversity there will be in combat and choosing our play style, and if it is significantly deeper than previous titles that share similar mechanics.

The next questions gets a very straight matter of fact answer. The question is in reference to V being able to unlock or buy additional apartments, to which CD Projekt Red responds that V will be able to as the story progresses. This means potentially owning multiple apartments, with nicer views and amenities. Maybe we’ll be able to buy a shitshack in the Combat Zone and really feel like we are in a decrepid and despicable place, or a penthouse suite similar to what a prolific corporate agent would choose.

Next we have a question about if we are able to join factions or corporations. CDPR responds that “Cyberpunks value freedom the most, and that you’ll be able to work for many factions, but you wouldn’t want or need to permanently join them in the context of the story”. It makes sense since V strikes me as more of a lone wolf, trust nobody type.

Our next question is regarding weapon skins and if mantis blades are our only option as far as melee combat goes. CDPR responds with they have no plans for skins, and that mantis blades will not be the only melee option. I don’t really think weapon skins fit the 2077 aesthetic, but we will be able to customize and mod our weapons to make them aesthetically unique.

The next question is “will the game feature lots of internal buildings and houses we can explore fully, or break into?” to which they answer “Night city has lots and I mean lots of buildings and all these buildings have multiple floors. In a tall building we will have many floors explorable, each housing many activities.”

We’ve gotten a taste of this in V’s megastructure, but im hoping we get to see some more crazy odd and violent things happening right at home in these megastructures

Next we have a question about photo mode, where CDPR has said that they are planning to have photo mode in the game. It’s unclear if it’s going to be at launch, but it should satisfy those who want to see their character in 3rd person more often.

Next CD Projekt Red states that PC and console launches will be at the same time, and that you will be able to see your feet and body looking down from First person perspective.

Finally the most important question that’s been asked thus far, will Night City have squirrels, to which CD Projekt Red responds with “their better be.” I think this confirms finding a cybersquirrels buried nut stash as a high level quest in the game.

Thanks for watching guys, and remember to subscribe for more Cyberpunk 2077 content.
