Cyberpunk 2077 News – Jan 10th, Taipei Game Show, New Merch & Johnny Has A Bomb?

Gameplay details that we can potentially extract from a new Jonny Silverhand product, January 10th, which is tomorrow and it’s significance in the history of Cyberpunk 2077 promotional material and what we can possibly see tomorrow, A ton of new Cyberpunk 2077 products that have yet to be shown and more are going to be discussed in todays Cyberpunk 2077 News video!

First we have why people are speculating that tomorrow, January 10th we might get something of significance from Cyberpunk 2077. We have the beep tweet from Cyberpunk 2077 pre e3 2018 after a 5 year hiatus from the Cyberpunk 2077 Teaser Trailer. This beep issued in the start of the brief marketing campaign for E3 2018 with the hacking off the conference and the in-game engine trailer. Now prior to this beep, there was the Teaser Trailer which was believe or not posted on January 10th of 2013. Not only this but the date within the trailer was actually January 10, 2077. Again this date just seems to have some sort of significance when it comes to marketing, and aligns with the marketing ramp up and maybe even the continuation of the ARG.

I want to make clear that this is 100% speculation, that CD PROJEKT RED will continue with January 10th being significant, so just temper your expectations for now.

Just as an aside we do have confirmation of Cyberpunk 2077 being at the Tapei game show in the month of February with Cyberpunk 2077 being on display. No information on whether it’s a hands on demo, or trailer or anything but, it’s at the very least something substantial. Hopefully this is something significant so mark that down in your calenders.

Next up we have some new screens of the Johnny Silverhand statue from the recently announced McFarlane Series of Toys with some interesting details. In this image, it features a new Pistol that we have yet to see in the game, which might be unique to Silverhand himself, as well as a dufflebag. Now the interesting thing is that the duffel-bag seems to house some sort of bomb. Obviously Silverhand has opposed Arasaka corp in the past for things done to his loved ones, namely Alt Cunningham, but in 2077 Silverhand is a hologram, or digital ghost. This implies he won’t be able to carry a physical bomb, so this might hint at a flashback scene from 2020. Let me know your theories below.

SideShow, which again we talked about last episode seems to have updated their site with their plans to make a silverhand and geralt statue. Now normally I wouldn’t be overly interested in action figures and statues, but looking at the sheer realism and unmatched detail in sideshows prior works makes me pretty enthusiastic about what they will come up with for both Cyberpunk and The Witcher. I just hope for your guys sakes its not in the thousand dollar range like some of the larger more detailed statues have been priced at.

Moving on we have even more Cyberpunk products featured in the GameStop store. This includes a Lizzy Wizzy Statue, a Night City Diorama, and a Cyberpunk 2077 mask and arm. There are no images as of yet, and some of their release dates seem to be months after release of the game, but I’m going to assume these are placeholder dates. They aren’t cheap either ranging from $59.99 to $99.99.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – NEW City Image & Mike Pondsmith Talks Cyberpunk 2077, Red & 2020!

A NEW image of Night City associated with a spin off Cyberpunk 2077 product, a podcast featuring Mike Pondsmith and what he has to say about Cyberpunk Red, the future of 2077, Robin Williams, The Bozos a New Chromebook and more in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News Episode!

First let’s jump into some images CD PROJEKT RED &RTalsorian shared to celebrate to new year and the dark future of 2020. Time has caught up with the original Cyberpunk 2020 source material and thus the Countdown to The Dark future has finished, and RTalsorian has shared this picture on their socials! We don’t have biomons and braindances but atleast we have Cyberpunk 2077 coming out soon. CD PROJEKT RED also shared this image of the sourcematerial to usher in 2020 as well as this really cool image featuring what is likely V or a mercenary on the Yaiba Kusanagi. This very Akira or Dredd styled illustration, shared by CD PROJEKT RED Japan.

Moving on we have news that Cyberpunk 2077 will get even more collectible figurines from Sideshow on top of the ones we discussed about in last episode coming from both McFarlane and Totaku. There’s no teaser images of the actual figurines, but we get do get something more interesting for those more focused on the video game, and that is the cityscape in the background. This is very likely official art, as these are officially licensed collectibles, and there is the CD PROJEKT RED logo on the bottom right. I know there;s been a lot of chatter over the size and scope of the map and discussions on if its too small or not wide enough, but I absolutely love the verticality and everything we’ve seen from all the city images so far. I cannot wait to ride the Metro all the way around, and explore all the floors. This image has a very striking skyline, and some really massive skyscrapers and megabuildings.

Next we have a fantastic podcast from BabyBeardMedia featuring Mike Pondsmith. I’ll go over some of the more stand out details, but I recommend you check out the link in the description and check out the podcast in it’s entirety.

When asked what typically starts a new Cyberpunk version, and how Red was initially conceptualized, Pondsmith mentions that at RTalsorian they treat the Cyberpunk Universe as an ongoing story. In comparison to a franchise like Star Wars, he mentions that the original star wars would be Cyberpunk 2013, Empire strikes back would be 2020, Red is a restart f the story line in some ways and that 2077 is more akin to Return of the Jedi.
Regarding what he starts to create first, Pondsmith mentions that the story typically serves the game systems of a table top RPG, but the systems created illiuminate the story. What people are doing in specific time periods, and how they are operating reflect into the systems.

Regarding any supplemental books for Cyberpunk Red, he also reveals Black Chrome, a chromebook that will feature in addition to all the cool technology and cyberware that is apparent in the OG chromebooks, how to use the new environment of Night City and the Cyberpunk world post bombing and post Red. It’s a time where oddly enough, food and shelter is expensive, yet technology is cheap.

Fun fact – Mike Pondsmith is actually an amateur paleontologist, and that he found out Robin Williams actually played the original Cyberpunk, when he left some of his sourcematerial books on the set of Good Will Hunting.
Cyberpunk Red will have new gangs and evolutions and Pondsmith mentions the Voodooboys of 2077 as having emigrated to Night City, andnhave ousted the former Voodooboys from 2020 for knocking off their culture.

He also seems to make reference to Bozos forming larger communities in Red, something that may trickle into 2077.
Mike mentions that in comparison to all other Cyberpunk works from the genre, he thinks the version explored in his work and with CD PROJEKT RED is more fun vs depressing and is a cyberpunk that hasn’t been done before.

Cyberpunk 2077 – TOP 10 Things To Look Forward To In 2020!

With 2020 around the corner here I thought it would be the perfect time to countdown 10 of the biggest things to potentially look forward to in the New year when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077. In the Top 10 things to look forward to in 2020 Cyberpunk 2077 end of the year video, we’ll go over CD PROJEKT REDs plans and some speculation about what we will be seeing in early 2020, whether thats gameplay, screenshots, more of night city or even characters. Now some of these are more or less confirmed, whilst some involve a bit of speculation so keep this in mind.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – ARG Details, Katana First Look via McFarlane Toys & Cosplay Finalists!

In Today ‘s Cyberpunk 2077 News, we’ll be going over the latest ARG details, Cosplay contest finalists, what to expect in 2020 and much more!

Before we start, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank CD PROJEKT RED for including me in their official ARG project. As someone who has been on YouTube for just over a year, it’s an honor to be directly involved in this, and I know the other creators who also took part share the same sentiments. It was a really cool opportunity for us to engage each of our communities in a unique way as well, and so again thank you CD PROJEKT RED and those involved for the care package and the ARG clues to stream. If you guys are unaware, CDPR reached out to Me, Last known meal, Madqueen and Triple S league as well as two larger creators to help with the Alternate Reality Game for Cyberpunk 2077, a kind of covert marketing campaign where additional game details and prizes are unlocked via solving complex online puzzles. We each streamed us opening 1 of the 4 clues with the culmination of all 4 clues happening in the Triple S Leagues stream where the GameDetectives, a notoriously fast ARG busting community solved the puzzle right as the stream was about to wrap up.

Shoutout to the whole community of ARGers on the GameDetectives server, the guys who were on the stream, and the collaboration from these fine gentlemen in the chat who cracked the final clue with some impressive methodologies. There is a write up for those interested in seeing how the puzzle was cracked via Dystakruul, who was integral in solving the puzzle, and there will be a link in the description. There will also be a summary by the Triple S League or possibly JuiceHead, so when it does come out, or if it already has check the description for that as well. Overall this was really fun, and according to Lilayah this leg of the ARG is now complete but will begin again in early 2020 so keep an eye out for that.

I know I’ve seen quite a few comments on my videos of some of you either applying at CDPR, or wanting to know details on jobs, or even developers like CDPR being the inevitable goal for those still in school. My advice here would be to keep an eye out for listings, and if you have the appropriate skills, internship and general job opportunities are popping up all the time and I’ll put a priority on sharing any opportunities I learn bout with you guys in the new year. Thank you to the gentleman who sent out this message, its cool to be recognized as an influence in getting a job and good luck to all those in intern positions within the company.

Moving on we have some Cosplay Finalist details. Here’s a brief overview of the finalists shared via the Cyberpunk 2077 twitter page. There are a ton of amazing Cosplays here, so whoever is judging this is going to have their work cut out for them. My favorites currently are the Lizzy Wizzy, Trauma Team and Royce cosplays, but realistically I think any of these guys can win. Stay tuned in the new year for progressions on that front.

We also have some more Cyberpunk 2077 products being announced in the form of figurines. Now there are two different companies currently working on figurines at the moment that I’m aware of, one being Totaku and the other being McFarlane. I’m not going to lie, this is not really something I’m overly interested in, but it just goes to show you how widespread this franchise is looking to be. From books, to figurines to board and card games Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have a huge market impact, and not only in the form of the actual video game. The McFarlane ones are pretty great so far and feature our first look at the Katana in game on the Male V action figure. Silverhand also looks quite good in the McFarlane series. I do truly hope they fix the faces of the Totaku prototypes though. They look pretty bad and I’m probably going to have nightmares from them.

Next up we have a quick overlay of the map from the 4AEM cyberpunk 2077 music video, with the world of Cyberpunk 2077 collector’s edition. Seems to fit perfectly and is slightly more detailed with a tad bit more depth to Night City.

Cyberpunk 2077 – 4ÆM & Behind The Music Analysis! (The NET, Lizzy Wizzy & New Characters!)

Today we are briefly analyzing the Behind The Music trailer from Cyberpunk 2077 and CD PROJEKT RED featuring the announcement of Grimes, Run The Jewels, ASAP Rocky and other artists being featured in Cyberpunk 2077, as well as the performance and visuals of the Grimes song 4aem showcased at The Game Awards.

So first we are going to go over the performance of 4AEM by Grimes, because its chock full of potential Cyberpunk 2077 lore implications. Right off the bat we have Grimes, with a stark red background reminiscent of the Blackwall from the Deep Dive. This is a form of ICE software which is currently keeping out the malevolent AI from The Net in 2077. This is most likely the Net as hinted at by CDPR, and may have something to do with the quarantine zone behind the Blackwall just because it is so red. We see some sort of digital blue particles dropping from the sky, which starts to proliferate and spread across what is presumably the Net cityscape. Now the people walking around are not entirely blue, but when grimes’ steps into the bathtub in her performance, in a netrunning sequence, she takes shape in the net using these blue particle effects. Again, we know this is netrunning because she steps into a bath, similar to how V gets into the bath and plugs in during the Deep Dive. I do also want to mention that the trailer is based loosely on the world, so it’s also very possible that this is being showcased in a purely visually capacity and has less to do with the world and story as we’re making it out to be.

Grimes has also been confirmed to be Lizzy Wizzy, so its safe to assume the Icon that’s present in the net that represents her is of Lizzy Wizzy, and not Alt Cunningham like it initially appears to be. Now Lizzy’s Net icon or avatar is a little different from the one featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 e3 2018 trailer, however the look id similar to the one on some of the posters in Night City. Now when it comes to who exactly Lizzy wizzy is I want to highlight this interview with Patrick Mills with NightCityLife where he reveals that Lizzy Wizzy is also this woman. He also references full body conversions. Now with braindance being so popular and Lizzy Wizzy being a famous popstar, this could mean that Lizzy Wizzy is also a braindance recording artist. We see skin and chrome as a braindance in many of the trailers and demos, so this could be the reason we see a full chromed out Lizzy wizzy which contrasts with her more humanoid form. It could also just simply mean that Lizzy wizzy swaps from full body conversions or her augmentations frequently, and again has many different looks similarly to someone like Lady Gaga in terms of a modern-day fashion parallel.
At 1:16 we see the blue effects on a tower that appears to be owned by Arasaka. As we continue, we start to see a freeze frame of a very much living and breathing city. We see a bar, some streets, the NCPD, and this guy who reminds me a lot of this guy from the 48-minute demo.

We also see 4 new characters. The first is someone who instantaneously made me think of Saburo Arasaka. Regardless if he is Saburo or not, he likely works for Arasaka. Next, we have an Arasaka Riot Officer which we’ve seen before in the cover of PCGamer. The 3rd character seems to be an augmented Asian woman, again potentially working for the Japanese megacorporation. Arasaka did break into warring factions in the 2030s so maybe she even opposes them. Finally, we have the Maelstrom ganger character with half his face missing and spikes protruding out of his head.
Moving onto the Behind The Music trailer we have a ton of graffiti sporadically popping up between cuts.

We do however get A bunch of images of the Lizzies which seem to be either a poser gang that models themselves after Lizzy, a crazy fan mob or the name or Lizzies band. It’s unlikely it is Lizzies band because it’s been stated that Lizzie and the Metadwarves is the name of said band, but things could obviously change.

In a prior video we saw this same Lizzy Wizzy skull on a sticker for a gang called the Mox, so this might also rule out the Lizzies being a gang and gives more credence to them just being a group of rabid fans

CD PROJEKT RED Care Package Unboxing! + Giveaway Incoming!

CD PROJEKT RED were kind enough to send over a mini-care package and some goodies, which include some really cool Cyberpunk 2077 goodies. I’ll be giving all this away in the near future and keep your eye out for the rest of the “stuff” ; )
