Cyberpunk 2077 News – Arasaka Waterfront Image & Geralt Easter Egg?

A hidden image in some new Cyberpunk 2077 promotional statue images, as well as some new pictures of the 800 dollar statue itself, a hint which gives us some insight into a possible Geralt of Rivia Easter Egg, a podcast featuring developer details, More info on a New character we mentioned in the past & more will be showcased in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news!

First up check out this new wallpaper tweeted out by CD PROJEKT RED. It shows Arasaka forces sieging a metro station stop, with V and his buddy in the foreground tuning out the white noise. Now I’ve showcased this before, when it was on the cover of PCGamer but now you can have this as a wallpaper. The size of the map has seemed to increase since the intial 2018 E3 trailer, notably in the north and the south. Also check out the Arasaka riot troops that we saw in the 4AM Grimes music video.

Next up we have a new promotional image from Sideshow, which is making high quality statues of Silverhand and V for Cyberpunk 2077. In this image, we see what appears to be an in-game screenshot of the Arasaka Waterfront. This is a location that seems to be dominated by Arasaka in the north of the map near Watson according to the metro map we have seen in the past.

Speaking of the statue this promotional ad is for, check out this new image of Sideshows Male and Female V with the Yaiba Kusanagi. Preorders of this come with a nice little Spiderbot statue, but at 800 dollars for the combo of both male and female v, this is most definitely for the most hardcore collectors.

Next we have a podcast featuring CDPR developers, Miles Tost and Philip Webber about the development of Cyberpunk and how things have changed since shifting to remote work.

First Miles and Philip mention that in shifting from office to home, there was a massive IT delivery service where over night hundreds of cars brought PCs to peoples homes, and that they could start work 2 hours after it was brought home.

The way they work on the game and assets haven’t changed much. They use a VPN to connect to the main data server and can download the stuff they want. If parts of the game get changed, members can check in to that content and others will notice.

Nearly every hour the system directly transforms the development version into the playable version of the game.

Miles Tost mentions that that some changes are really small and mentions an elevator bug where it did not stop where it was supposed to.
The fact that they are isolated means that they can no longer visit media offices with preview builds. They actually carried the game with a specific PC in a code locked briefcase, and the hard drive and the game was also password protected.

Moving on we have some updates to the IMDB page for Cyberpunk 2077, where information is typically fact checked to a certain standard before its posted. Recently some changes were made where it now shows Jacek Rozenek as being rumored to voice geralt in the game. Obviously Dock Cockle voiced Geralt in the English Witcher games and Rozenek was Geralts voice in the polish versions, so maybe there’s the potential for a polish easter egg here, or he’s doing the polish dubbing of a separate character.

Not only this but we have mentioned Doctor Paradox in a prior episode and made note that this was not a character I thought was in the lore. I did some more research and stumbled upon this countdown to the dark future episode where doctor paradox was mentioned as a big conspiracy media character.
In the dark future episode it mentions that “one of the longest running underground screamsheets before the 4th corporate war hit, doctor paradox’s mysteries printed or displayed as a collection of barely coherent rantings, post-modern poetry, and purposefully disturbing images designed to shake up the masses.
By 2020 Doctor Paradox began heavily promoting conspiracy theories, including a government plot to turn everyone into zombies with the help of an insane AI.

We also have some new Cyberpunk Red minis. Now as you know Mike Pondsmith will be in Cyberpunk 2077, and despite many thinking he is Dexter Deshawn this is not the case. With that being said we have a huge hint into what he could play, as RTalsorian revealed a Maximum Mike Cyberpunk red minature.

This is a big big hint of what Pondsmith’s role will be in game, as Rtalsorian and CDPR try to streamline the lore and characters between mediums.
The description of Mike is as follows “One of the old survivors of the NCPD still on the job, Maximum Mike tries to play by the book, enforcing the law and rooting out corruption. But he knows the law has its limits, so he’ll do what he has to to protect the innocent. When facing down the cities worst, his cyber-mastiff, max is always at his side.

This might put a pin in Mike lending his voice to his original character morgan blackhand as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – The Corporate Wars! (1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th!)

Today we are diving into the corporate war history including the first, second, 3rd and fourth corporate wars, the corporations involved & how they have impacted the cyberpunk world and night city.

The first corporate war which lasted from August 2004 to February 2006 began simply. Eurobusiness Machines was attempting to buyout struggling corporation Transworld Airlines. Negotiations began to sour after an unfriendly interaction with Transworld’s CEO.
Orbital Air, who had interest in Transworld saw this as an opportunity to jump in to obtain TWA’s air traffic facilities for their own uses. Orbital Air blocked EBMs buyout attempt with sly tactics, and thus the first corporate war had its foundation.

Orbital Air sent a negotiations team to try to sweeten the pot for Transworld to sell to OA instead of EBM. EBM dispatched terrorists to kidnap this team en route, but the terrorists compromised their identity embarrassing and exposing EBM.

Orbital Air recruited Zetatech as an ally who unleashed a massive wave of net attacks against EBM, and although they were initially crippling, they were quickly halted forcing Zetatech out of the war.

The ripple effect of the first corporate war was vast and set the standard that corporations can obtain favorable deals and assets by using brute force and military scale tactics.

The second corporate war is typically known as the most globally devastating and took place between April of 2008 and August of 2010 between oil giants Petrochem and SovOil.

This conflict started when a merger deal fell through, and a drilling accident at a Petrochem platform accelerated the confrontation to a fully blown war.

Each corporation crippled one another’s oil facilities in a few weeks, although SovOil experienced a greater bout of initial success. Petrochem expended millions of Eurodollars to fight back & regain the upper hand. This peaked when Petrochem captured and assassinated the SovOil founder and CEO Anatoly Novikovo.

The third corporate war lasted from February 2016 to November 2016 and was fought almost entirely on the Net. Hostilities began when financial examiners uncovered a confidence scheme being designed by investment counselors at Merrill Asukaga and Finch against private investors.

This enraged the Rothstein Fund, and they turned everything over to the District Attorney’s office for an investigation. They also hired local netrunners to begin infiltrating MA&F’s data fortress in search of the truth. MA&F fired back, increasing their security and launching their own netrunners against the Rothstein Fund.

Netwatch stepped in and responded by limiting net access and making sweeps which resulted in arrests as well as flatlines. With the net being heavily watched, this is where the conflict moved to the streets. Both corporations started hiring mercenaries, and during a 12-hour period, battles were fought in low earth orbit and earth to destroy the opponents net communications gear and infrastructure.

The fourth corporate war took place between 2021 and 2025 and began in a similar way to some of the prior corporate wars with rival Megacorporations butting heads over a financial objective. In early 2021, IHAG a megacorp specializing in underwater shipping and tech went bankrupt. Two rival aquacorps CINO and OTEC entered the picture to pick up the pieces and both were vying for a takeover of IHAGs remaining resources.

After years of fighting however, neither of the Aquacorps were able to deliver the final blow to one another, and thus, both of them hired external help in larger Megacorps to provide resources, equipment and military gear to aid in battle.

OTEC hired Militech an armaments and security company based in the US, and CINO hired Arasaka, a security Megacorp based out of Japan. As they are both two of the largest paramilitary corporations in the world, with thousands of troops, Arasaka and Militech had been rivals before these contracts with the AquaCorps and were ready for any excuse to be back at each other’s throats.

Both Militech & Arasaka are incredible big megacorporations with an incredible amount of sophisticated technology, so much so that if they decided to wage war, no entity on planet earth would be able to stop them. Small pools of conflict effectively turned into large scale battles that took over entire cities and states such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Washington, Chicago and Night City.

By mid-2022 battles involving aircrafts, AVs, tanks, power armor and thousands of troops was the norm. Cyberattacks disrupted banking, international trade, and media.

On August 20th, 2023 a strike team led by Elite Solo Morgan Blackhand & Rockerboy Johnny Silverhand detonated a pocket nuke in the Arasaka Towers complex in Night City, reducing the building to rubble and wiping out thousands of people. Silverhand was killed at the hands of Cyborg Arasaka Solo Adam Smasher.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – CDPR Switching To Remote Work & Lore Book Update!

A colorful new image from CD PROJEKT RED in celebration of a Japanese holiday, an interview with Mike Pondsmith dissecting the Cyberpunk IP, statements from CDPR about the state of the world, how they are handling things and delays, some new Cyberpunk 2077 merch and an update on the release date of a Cyberpunk lore book are all discussed in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News video!

First off, we have a brand-new image of a character using what again appears to be a Braindance headset. Now we saw the female variant a while ago, but this was tweeted out by CDPR Japan in celebration of what seems to be white valentines’ day. This character is bursting with color and some interesting hair, and many have likened him to this Ekko skin from League of Legends. Definitely strikes me as a similar Asian looking character to this one from the Style over substance poster, and if this is indicative of the character customization options, I know a lot of people will be happy. Gotta love the retro-futuristic clothing choices as well.

Next, we have a statement from CDPR regarding changes they are making while in the final stretch of development for Cyberpunk 2077 based on current events. It reads as follows – “Dear all, many of you are probably wondering how things are at CD PROJEKT RED and how current events influences our day to day operations. Here’s a short update. Over the past week, we have been adapting to the situation and gradually rolling out preventative measures across our entire organization. We’ve also been upgrading equipment and infrastructure and working towards enabling our employees to work remotely, from the safety of their homes.
Today, as a result of that preparation, CD PROJEKT Red switched to FULL remote work for as long as needed. We think this will grant every team member the highest level of personal health safety. And while this all is a bit new to everyone, we are rising to the challenge and showing no signs of stopping in our effort to bring you some kick-ass role-playing action in September!
Stay safe, everyone!

For fans this is great news, as there were some worries that this disruption would invariably lead to a second delay. Now although that’s not out of the realm of possibility, REDs have been praising IT and logistics teams for their preparedness in getting everyone set up at home, and from what I’ve been seeing maybe a cozy home environment is a nice change of pace. I know for me personally, its incredibly hard to stay focused at home, but I have no doubt that these guys will be killing it wherever they are.
Moving on we have updates about the World of Cyberpunk 2077 lore book from Dark Horse. In previous videos we mentioned that the date of the release of this book would likely change to after the release date of Cyberpunk 2077. Dark horse however has swooped in to reinforce that the initial date of release of these is not going to be pushed back, assuming no supply chain interruption. This has me a little torn as I’m pretty sure a lengthy lore book is going to spoil at least some of the world before actually playing it, although knowing me I’ll probably exhibit 0 self-control and read the thing cover to cover as soon as I get it. If you have ordered this book, or are planning to get it, its something to think about.
We also have a 2077 Comic Book which was hinted at a while back, featuring the writing of some of the devs on the actual CDPR team. We get a brief glimpse at the pages, and maybe something story related but it’s really hard to tell what’s going on here. If you have any theories let me know.

We also have a keynote speech with the creator of Cyberpunk 2013, 2020 and Red where he breaks down IP’s and their fluidity in becoming any type of media. He dissects what kinds of traits an intellectual property needs and how these needs transform from books to movies to video games to tabletop rpgs and it’s an overall super interesting talk if you are into the design of media. He makes mention that Cyberpunk had been licensed before, but CDPR is doing what he deems as the most successful licensing attempt with an entry into video games and that Silverhand was designed to be a character who can be on the silver screen, in games or in books, an example of what makes the Cyberpunk IP more potent. He also talks about the Witcher games and their Netflix adaptations, and again it’s a talk worth watching so I’ll link that in the pinned comment and description for you guys.

Finally, we have a collaboration between Doughnut Backpacks and CDPR for this beast right here. Gotta say it’s a pretty snazzy looking backpack, but dear lord that price tag. Not going to lie, I’m a fan of most of the items Cyberpunk related so far that we’ve seen, and this is one of them, but I’ll take a hard pass based off that price, which if you think about it is more than the game itself.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – CDPR Reveals Future Plans For Cyberpunk 2077 & Witcher!

A developer Q&A where details on Cyberpunk 2077, E3 2020, ESRB and PEGI Ratings, Review Copies, and a brief timeline of the future of CD PROJEKT RED and both the Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises are going to be discussed in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News video!

In a recent meeting with journalists, CD PROJEKT’s Adam Kicinski took the opportunity to highlight some standout points about Cyberpunk, CD PROJEKT Red and their future plans.

First, he mentions that Cyberpunk is still on-track for a September release and has now been submitted to age rating agencies in PEGI and ESRB. This will be the first-time people outside of the studio will get a chance to play the game, and this process of giving the game a rating typically takes around a month. Whilst the copy of the game being sent out is not the final version, it is complete enough to be sent out to third parties, at least for a rating designation. Just like with The Witcher series CDPR are aiming for a mature or 18+ rating for Cyberpunk 2077.

Echoing this sentiment, Adam Badowski took to twitter to mention that they were pushing the game for its ratings, that as they continue to playtest and debug, and 2077 is looking better and better every day.
Kicinski mentions that the game is huge and that with the new deadline there is more breathing room to operate. He also mentions that there is much less work after hours, although some do still work quite hard.

Preorder wise, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold more preorders than The Witcher 3 assuming the same period of time.

Kicinski also mentions that reviewers will get a specially protected version of the game a few weeks before it’s premiere and that the embargo will last up until the weekend before the release date. No details on at what capacity review copies are being issued, but as it stands right now that is still quite far away.

In a statement about E3 2020 and the state of the world Kicinski mentions that if events are canceled, they will show things through the power of the internet. With E3 2020 now being cancelled, this means that digital content drops during the same time windows as what they had initially planned for E3 2020 is likely.

When it comes to the marketing of Cyberpunk, Vice President Piotr Nielubowicz mentions that this will be heavily weighted in the few weeks before release.

When it comes to The Witcher, Kicinski mentions that there would be no Witcher 4 and that that particular arc would remain a trilogy. At the same time, he mentions that they do still want to do Witcher games, and their settlement with Andre Sapkowski confirms this.

Adam Kicinski also mentions that after the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, that they want to do a little more in the studio and produce 2 to 3 games at a time, but it will take a couple of years before they are ready for this.
Elaborating he mentions that the company wants to have two large teams that produce games.

As for the near future the largest team in CDPR will be implementing the online multiplayer Cyberpunk game, the next big team will be responsible for Cyberpunk DLC, and the third team will be dealing with the next single AAA game, which they have a concept for. The third team would be the smallest from the outset but would grow as the project advances.

The timeline would look as follows. Cyberpunk 2077 releases, then DLC and expansions would come next, followed by the Multiplayer element in 2022. After this there would be a 4 to 5-year dev cycle where the next Triple A RPG would release.

Now although not explicitly stated the assumption here is that this will be a new game in the Witcher universe. Badowski has also taken to Twitter to mention that The Witcher is still on their minds but they are not ready to talk about any other projects. Furthermore, they have talked about the dual franchise model of The Witcher and Cyberpunk going forward, with a potential staggering of releases of these two franchises, but keep in mind it has yet to be confirmed.

I also want to mention that there are a few scam sites trying to piggyback off the hype of Cyberpunk 2077, so be very cautious about this. Early keys are not being issued, and although this site looks legit it is not so just be wary.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – The Rocker Movement & Origins!

The origins of the term Rockerboy, the whole movement behind being a Rocker, Johnny Silverhand, Kerry Eurodyne & Samurai as well as some of the rebellious tunes filling the streets of Night City in the time period of the source material Cyberpunk 2020 which will seep into Red and 2077 will all be discussed in this Cyberpunk 2077 lore video!

The rocker movement of the 2020s was a period of time where civil disobedience, violent revolution and freedom of speech was brought about the artistic integrity of what we now know as rockerboys and girls. This period of time showcased Rockers achievements in combatting malicious and insidious governments and awakening the general populace to their vile habits, and propensity to hide their dark truths.

The term Rockerboy, who is any artist using their music or artistry to fight authority, was first brought about by James “Rockerboy” Manson who is often considered the definitive rocker as his death in 1997 defined the terms for those who came after.

Many performers during the time of Manson were afraid to perform in America mainly due to death threats from the military government. Manson’s paranoia was justified however as he was publicly clubbed to death by armed British Security thugs at an Amnesty International concert.

One of the groups which rose from the ashes of this event in their allegiance to the Rockerboy ideals was a band called Justifiable Homicide, whose first album Jury Trial released in 1998 and was a success both commercially and as a statement. It ended up being a classic album and influenced a generation of Rockers who grew up listening to it. The message of the album was for a rework of the criminal justice system after their lead singer lost family to the military government over what he believed were benign charges.

In late 1999 a group of militant Catholic Rockers called the Watchmen released their two albums, Sign of the times and revelation, which received universal acclaim even from the harshest of critics. Beginning with the trial of the Watchmen, the military government came to the conclusion that to protect their self-interests, volatile Rockers careers should have abrupt ends, if they tip the scales and step out of line too far.

When the civilian government was largely re-established by 2008, the music scene exploded with now infamous Rockerboys including Johnny Silverhand and Kerry Eurodyne leading the charge with the band Samurai. Starting in 2006, Samurai released 6 albums with 3 being studio work and the other 3 being concert and jam sessions optioned by their label Universal. In 2008 Samurai broke up, but this was not the end for Silverhand and Eurodyne who both had massive solo careers.

Silverhand released 6 albums of his own between 2008 and 2020, but none was more provocative and respected as SINS of your brother. A botched blackmail attempt led Silverhand to dive into the real causes of prior wars exposing the USMC for their lies and their experimental cybernetics and cyborg programs.

Justifiable Homicide the lost nineties band previously mentioned had been hiding in Mexico for years during this time, playing the crowds they could find there. Mexico City was being rebuilt by American Nomads, so the band immediately had many of them as their following.

Former Samurai member now turned media bigwig; Bes Isis was in town reporting on the Nomad underground scene. One day, she witnessed a frail young teen walk into a bar and collapse. Revived by Bes, he told the story of 600k people marooned in SouthAm, many of them walking almost 3 thousand miles to get home. The band and Bes joined some of these Nomads along the way, and many of these stories were mentioned in Justifiable Homicides second major label release The Long Walk, released in January 2012.

This catapulted them back into the limelight, but also back into the crosshairs of the government who were anything but pleased.
2012 was a seminal year in the rockerboy movement. In 2012 the Arasaka Riot inspired by Johnny Silverhand himself took place where 15 people died. The watchmen were released from jail after spending 5 years in braindance. They released an Album called betrayed, and 6 months later the whole band was wiped out by a swiss solo, rumored to be associated with the Vatican secret police.

In 2016, rockers moved back into harsher protests as nanotechnology was starting to instill fear in the people. Stranger Inside me a band which targeted the anti-biotech audience lobbied against biotechnology through their music, which they felt was eroding what makes us human. In April of 2018, the first commercial braindance label DMS released the debut disk of KIDROK a 14-year-old prodigy. All 18 minutes is a Frankenstein of music and braindance called Bleeding Soul. Although Braindance is expensive, its looking to penetrate the market soon ushering a new wave of rockers and musical experiences.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – 2 NEW Cyberpunk 2077 & Red Covers & New Characters?

2 NEW Cyberpunk covers, one for Cyberpunk 2077 and the other for Cyberpunk Red, a brand new statue reveal featuring something a little higher quality for collectors, Some voice actor confirmation and new characters potentially coming to Cyberpunk 2077, some hype being generated by CDPR internally over some of their quests, the potential for a NoClip Cyberpunk documentary and GOG’s outstanding new refund policy that you are going to want to check out for yourself are all discussed in todays Cyberpunk 2077 News!

First up in today’s news we have Cyberpunk 2077 and CD PROJEKT RED honoring international womens day by posting this new image of Female V. This is the Female V which will share the cover of Cyberpunk 2077 along with this variant of Male V, as the cover, if you are getting the game physically will be reversible. I know a ton of people have been asking me where’s the love for Female V, so here you have it. Now this model of Female V is slightly different than what we saw in the first 48-minute demo, and she does look significantly more badass in my opinion. In fact, her scowl kind of makes her more intimidating than the Male V version of the cover. Her hair is slightly lighter, her skin is slightly darker, and she has more piercings which can be seen on her ear and lip. We first saw this variant of Female V in PureArts statue, and we can kind of get a better look at what she looks like.

Speaking of Twitter out friends at the Triple S League did partake in sharing the love and got official confirmation of Cherami Leigh being the voice of Female V. Whilst we know Gavin Drea is the Male V it was never explicitly confirmed that Cherami was the Female version. Now we definitely know for sure.

Voice acting is something we talked a bit about in our Cyberpunk 2077 Community Podcast, and visiting the official IMDB page, whose roster has to be factually verified from inside the studio as far as I’m aware, we see both Cherami Leigh and Gavin Drea, alongside Micheal-Leon Wooley as Dex, Grimes as Lizzy Wizzy, Jason Hightower as Jackie and of course Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand. We do see some very interesting details here however including a character named Vazquez voiced by Dar Dash, Mark Holden voicing Doctor Paradox, as well as Ronan Favereau voicing what possibly could be a couple characters in the world as well. It’s not known who those characters are at the moment, but this is potentially exciting in getting to know new faces on the streets of Night City.

Moving on we have an incredible new statue from again PureArts featuring Male V, This statue which will retail at 230 bucks features hand painted limbs with a real LED blue light up color, real LEDs on the soles of the shoes, as well as the Militech Lexington pistol, and Constitutional Arms Defender weapons, both which we’ve already seen. We also have a Mantis blade arm with an unusually long blade.

I know you guys are eagerly waiting for some monumental Cyberpunk news, but it seems like we are still in for a bit of a tease after Quest Designer Philip Webber hinted at the quality of his colleagues Cyberpunk 2077 quests. He seems to be loving it to bits and other Reds have chimed in praising Weber’s own work in the quest department as well.

Moving on we have Cyberpunk Red revealing their tentative cover Art for the full release of their world book. This tabletop RPG primer to 2077 is slated for a prospective release in June, and we are starting to get more significant information on it. This cover shows the world of Night City during its resurgence after 2020, and we have some interesting details here. Notice how the main character looks similar to V, which seems to be a popular cyberpunk look for female characters. We also have some of the megacorporations in the back including the trauma team, zetatech and biotechnica as well as what could be an earlier evolution of the Yaiba Kusanagi. I asked J Gray media ambassador of RTalsorian what the phrase on the jacket was to which he responded with “And Hell Followed With Her.”

We do also have some new Cyberpunk Red miniatures coming out to help you role play any pre-generated characters for your tabletop sessions.

Moving on we have the potential for a NoClip Cyberpunk documentary. If you guys are unaware NoClip does amazing crowd funded documentaries, which has included their epic Witcher 3 series of videos. If you haven’t seen them, I will link it in the pinned comment because it is a must watch. In any case Danny O’Dwyer who runs the NoClip channel, held a Q&A where he was asked about Cyberpunk 2077 and a potential doc featuring them. While not ruling it out, he mentions that they are incredibly busy right now and that they typically approach studios after their big titles or games have been released. Expect this to happen in the future, and I hope it is as extensive and deep as some of their other documentaries.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – FREE Next Gen Upgrade, Lizzy Wizzy’s Grim Backstory & Character Builder Soon?!

We have a jam-packed episode today including FREE Next Generation upgrades and how CDPR will be helping the consumer bridge the gap between current and next gen consoles, Grimes revealing a little bit too much about her Character Lizzy Wizzy in a Live Stream, CD PROJEKT RED setting a new substantial record in Europe, a new Cyberpunk Red image, Tons of new statues and figurines for Cyberpunk coming out of the toy fair some of which give some interesting story hints and more.

First up we have a tweet sent out by CD PROJEKT RED yesterday morning and says “Gamers should never be forced to purchase the same game twice or pay for upgrades. Owners of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox One will receive the Xbox Series X Upgrade for free when available.”

This all but confirms a next generation version for the Xbox Series X. At the same time this is incredible news for those who already pre-ordered or who will still buy an Xbox One version of the game, as if they ever decide to upgrade to the Xbox Series X there will be a shiny clean updated next gen version waiting for them to download.

Moving on we have some information via Grimes the Canadian Singer who will be playing famous Night City pop-star Lizzy Wizzy in the game. This part does possibly contain spoilers and although we do think this is purely related to the backstory and not anything that we will see in-game, this is not a guarantee. Anyways getting back to it, Grimes had a livestream a couple of days ago to talk about the release of her new album Miss Anthropocene.

At around 20 minutes into the livestream a question was asked about Cyberpunk 2077 and her character to which she responds with that she has done the voice acting for Lizzy Wizz and that the game is looking really good. She also sneaks in huge detail about her character saying that Lizzy Wizzy committed suicide on stage, and presumably trauma team or some ripperdocs had to quickly come and perform emergency surgery to replace her whole body with cybernetics. She was dead for an hour, but she ends up finishing the show as a cyborg. This is one of the greatest pieces of performance art ever made in Night City.

Next we have a Facebook message sent to me by a viewer featuring a question he asked to the official Cyberpunk 2077 Facebook page, who has in the past answered fan questions. Thanks to Joao Paulo for sending this one in. He asks “Regarding Cyberpunk do you guys intend to present more details abut the character creation as far as attributes and perks? I wish I could plan my build before launch, a list of perks and how point distribution works would help.

CDPR responds with “to some extent, maybe”

Now this is a reference to the 3 layered skill tree where Attributes run into skills and perks. We’ve heard of perks like Athletics where you can run with bodies faster as well as Cold-blooded which amps up your own damage when you are low on health.

Next up we have a ton of new Cyberpunk 2077 gear coming out of the New York toy fair, which are not only showpieces but also give some major Cyberpunk lore hints.

Starting off we have some new figures coming in from Dark Horse Comics in a Johnny Silverhand and V statue. While only the Male V statue with the mantis arm was shown, Rafal Jaki the Biz director at CDPR confirmed that a female piece will be coming.

We also have Johnny Silverhand, with one of his iconic weapons. This is the Malorian Arms 3516. Malorian firearms, Incorporated is a bespoke weapons designer and manufacturer based out of Night City, with their motto being distinctive firearms for distinctive people. The firm was founded by Eran Malour who has designed weapons for the best and brightest including Solo Morgan Blackhand. The most famous weapon designed by him however is the Malorian Arms 3516, which was custom made for famous rockerboy Johnny Silverhand. This one of a kind 14 mm heavy pistols titanium frame was manufactured in space, allowing for an almost zero chance of imperfection in the casting.

We also have a better look at the duffel bag Silverhand is carrying in the McFarlane series figure, which again seems to hold a nuke or explosive of some sort.

Next we have CD Projekt Red shattering some records in Europe, by becoming the second biggest video game company, valued at 8 Billion USD, only second to Ubisoft whose valuation goes as high as 9.6 billion USD. Considering that Ubisoft has multiple releases in a year versus CDPR who releases triple A games only when they are ready, this really shows how different approaches to the market yield similar results, at least in the quality versus quantity argument.

Moving on We have yet another new Cyberpunk Red image, and a dev update from RTalsorian about the lethality game mechanics in the TTRPG Cyberpunk Red.

Blog – https://rtalsoriangames.com/2020/02/21/balancetown-putting-the-red-in-cyberpunk-red-we-mean-blood/

Cyberpunk 2077 News – NEW Images, Romances, RTX 2080Ti & Cyberpunk Red Release Date!

We have a TON to talk about today including details on a custom Cyberpunk 2077 GPU, GeForce Now vs Stadia, Braindance Gear, Romance Details, an amazing new image of Night City, and big Cyberpunk red news and first look images.

First up we have a couple new images coming out from a Twitter user who visited CD PROJEKT RED’s studio in what seems to be Krakow. We see the iconic cardinal, and the front desk but we also see this concept art of what seems to be one of the districts in Night City. This huge wall of concept art really gives you a feel for what the developmental team envisions for this Cyberpunk world, and I immediately get vivid images of Ghost in The Shell and Dredd as the most similar comparisons to what we see here.

As for what district this could be, we see some power plants in the bottom corner, with gas flares, which are used in industrial plants to burn off flammable gas released by pressure relief valves. This gives us a big hint that it is Santo Domingo, which is described as the area where all Night City is powered from with its countless power plants and industrial factories. This is an area dangerous due to the toxic products of these plants and we see what looks like it may be a Dam as well.

Next up we have some amazing news coming out from NVIDIA in collaboration with Cyberpunk 2077. NVIDIA has had a relationship with CDPR ever since Cyberpunk 2077 announced it would be utilizing Raytracing in 2077, which will allegedly give the best graphical experience possible. They are currently taking this partnership one step further with the announcement of the RTXOn Sweepstakes where you can win a Limited-Edition Cyberpunk 2077 RTX 2080TI, which I have to say looks absolutely brilliant.

On NVIDIA’s official page they say, “We’ve made just 200 of these Cyberpunk 2077 GPUs, they won’t be sold, but you can potentially win one. Each has a custom AL5052 aluminum shroud, with Cyberpunk 2077s signature styling and powerful GeForce RTX 2080 Ti hardware underneath. And of course, it comes gift wrapped in a special edition Cyberpunk 2077 box, perfect for a collector’s shelf.

We also have another announcement from NVIDIA that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a title for GeForce NOW, which is NVIDIAs cloud gaming service along the same lines of google stadia and microsoft’s project xCloud.

Moving on we have a new image shared by Cyberpunk 2077 for Valentines Day this year. If you guys remember last year, they showcased this chromed out Cupid sporting this giant pink Sniper rifle for Valentines day, and this year they delivered another really awesome image from the Cyberpunk world. This woman who I think is oddly reminiscent of Sandra Dorsett from the first 48 minute demo, is featured wearing this headset or headgear piece of some sort being used to watch a steamy Braindance. With the caption, no plans for Valentines Day? Solo is always a good option, this likely refers to the fact that this braindance is highly sexual in nature, and that with braindance you don’t really need another flesh and bone human to have a little fun. The panels on the headset emit these hearts onto the eyes of this character, and from what we know about Braindance so far, we know that many of these experiences have to do with romantic extra-curriculars.

In the same vein when we are discussing romances, a reddit user pulled up an old and overlooked tweet from CDPR developer Mateus Tomaskiewicz, where we learn more about gay, lesbian, bi and straight relationships and how they are balanced in Cyberpunk 2077. In the thread a user asks about how attractive the gay romance option will be, to which Mateusz responds with he thinks he’s a stud, but also mentions a female gay romance option.
Another user chimes in with a follow up comment mentioning that if we only get one gay and lesbian option, they hope the straight options are balanced and there’s more bisexual options, to which Mateusz responds with Everyone will get equal amounts of quality content when it comes to romances, relationships and options in Night City. Now again this was an older tweet, so as always things are subject to change.

Next up we have some amazing details from RTalsorian and Cyberpunk Red. If you guys tuned into the Cyberpunk 2077 Community Podcast on this channel last Sunday, you’d know we got the chance to premiere two new Cyberpunk Red images for the first time thanks to JGray and the guys at RTalsorian. What we showed were these 2 images which will be featured in the full release of Cyberpunk Red, which is a tabletop RPG primer to Cyberpunk 2077 which takes place in the 2040s, after Cyberpunk 2020 and before 2077, which now has a tentative release date for June!

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – The Sports Of Cyberpunk!

Today we are diving into the Sports of Cyberpunk 2020, how drastically they’ve shifted since the 90s and the corporate interests and backing behind the augmented future of sport.

This is based off RTalsorian’s Cyberpunk 2020 Home of The Brave Sourcebook which 2077 is based on, so if you are interested in the source material there will be a link in the description.

Sports have changed somewhat since the 90s where the professional sports industry was arguably the most powerful in the world. Generating over 100 billion per annum in media revenues it’s safe to say that Sports teams and their players were involved in a very lucrative industry.
20th century athletes drove themselves to insane lengths, driven to the brink by peers, family and media in an effort to be good enough to demand salaries and contracts that could add up to as much as 50 million dollars per year. With perfection being the name of the game, athletes were tortured psychologically, injected with primitive steroids and hormones to reach their peaks. This left many athletes crippled, disillusioned and psychotic post retirement.

As the Collapse wreaked havoc upon the economic, social and political structure of the United States, the change in taste in satiating entertainment did as well. More violence naturally became an obsession to match the turmoil and disillusionment of much of the American Population. By around 2002, the concept of augmented sports was refined to its modern look.

The information age demanded a global and brutal change in the ruleset for already established sports. The corporations begun to take over the sponsorship of games, which first appeared in the only sport with true global appeal in Soccer.

The Arasaka Sakuras, Militech Rangers and the Orbital Air flyers began generating momentum with the public, and by 2006 the first augmented players were added to their rosters.

In 2020 Football is regaining popularity, after being the King of American sports pre-Collapse, mostly due to it being the most violent sanctioned sport of 2020. The only rule here is heavy augmentation and only full-conversion cyborgs and linear-frames are too far and not-sanctioned. Full-body plating is often adorned by spikes and fatalities are a must to reach sky high ratings.

Because there is so much cyberware used, they are often quick-change mounted to combat cyberpsychosis that would be present if it was perpetually on. Whilst from the outside, the game of Football looks like it would be a free for all bloodbath, it is naturally more of a game of finesse and style.

Football is undoubtedly the most violent sanctioned sport, but overall pales in comparison to the unsanctioned gang and nomad sports of 2020.

Gangs sports are disorganized affairs and tend to not have any sense of cohesive teams, or referees. If there do happen to be referees, they’re usually armed with rifles and are only attending to dissuade a greater dispute. There are no time limits on games, and only end when the other team of typically 4-5 players cannot continue. Multiple gangs or nomad families can compete, and the objective is to temporarily incapacitate the team, so outright killing or maiming is forbidden.

The sports collectively played by these gangs are colloquially known as “sticking” and comes from the similarity of each sports equipment which all use different permutations of what is essentially a stick. There are so many different variants of the stick, that the term “sticking” is just the easiest way to refer to all the different versions.
The gangs of Southern California usually resolve disputes with a permutation known as “stickball” which is somewhat akin to hockey with three forwards, two backs of defense and a goalie.

Some vanilla golden age sports do exist such as Golf, which is popular amongst the corporates and executives, as well as Baseball which is still a primarily unaugmented sport. Combat handball is also extremely popular amongst the corporate crowd and is another trial by fire styled activity that the corporates flock to, to prove their worth.
In 2020 athletes are massive investments for the corporate interests who back them, especially pertaining to athletes in the realm of combat and death sports. With players of augmented soccer and Football demanding higher salaries in relation to risk, endorsements become integral into recouping their cash.

Although combat sports are incredibly popular, true death sports are mainly enjoyed in underground entertainment venues, out of the overseeing eye of the public. The only thing close to a nationwide big-money death sport are the North American finals of the World Kumite Tournament that passes through every two years. Despite attempts to keep combat drugs and cyberware to a minimum, killings in the ring happen often.

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore – The Foods Of Cyberpunk!

The economy of the US in the 20th was largely driven by food and food related industries. Due to the Collapse however, Americans in 2020 have slowly but surely regained the power to quell the hunger and famines brought about by this disaster. In this Cyberpunk 2077 Lore video, we will be learning about the Foods of Cyberpunk from Kibble to SCOP to noodles to chickens and synthetic meat.

The farm economy has changed direction from food to fuel-centric, and thus most Americans in 2020 eat manufactured foods. These foods vary slightly in quality and quantity, but Kibble is the most prevalent and the basis for much other manufactured foods. The American diet is made up of almost 20 manufactured foods now, and Kibble is by far the simplest. Kibble was designed by Purina Foods for the South American relief effort due to the effect of the central American Wars.

The consistency is similar to animal foods, but also provides a full day’s supply of all major vitamin and mineral compounds, along with a small amount of complete proteins and amino acids.

SCOP is another integral part of the American Diet just because how diverse it can be. SCOP which stands for Single Cell Organic Proteins can be tailored to fit any taste or preference from chicken scop, to burger scop to cheese scop. Soya has also been engineered to fit into many of the vegetable protein foods currently available. As V wakes up in the 48-minute demo, we see Kibble and Scop on her shelf behind the bed.

When it comes to fresh foods, this is still available if you are the average millionaire. Statistically, as little as 3% of the total population eats fresh food more than once or twice per year. Massive burials and bio plagues have tainted the natural ground water in the States and thus fresh food has to be grown in indoor hydroponic gardens, which have skyrocketed its prices. The majority of fresh food consumes is imported from Europe and Canada, the new breadbaskets of the world.

In 2020 almost all the food consumed is eaten out. Vendors fill the streets not controlled by the corporations, and although most vendors sell hand foods and prepack, fresh soup and noodles are also available. Real fresh food is reserved for the highest end restaurants.

In the Cyberpunk 2077 deep dive demo, we know that the Voodoo boys and Placide keep chickens, which are illegal due to pandemics related to animals. Synthetic meat is also produced at the all foods plant, so it seems like things have changed slightly at least in outwards appearances as the timeline has moved on.
Kabayan foods and other seemingly larger grocery stores seem to pop up in the 2077 content we’ve seen thus far, and we do see Pad Thai and Noodles being offered in the street, meaning Kibble might be less necessary as Night City repairs and heals from the Age of The Red and the 50+ years since the Collapse.
