Cyberpunk 2077 – Frequently Asked Questions! (FAQ – Part 2!)

In todays Cyberpunk 2077 video we have part 2 of our Frequently Asked Cyberpunk 2077 Questions including Damage Types, Red Engine 4, Tattoos + Piercings, Female Companions, Levelling up and Stats, Politics, DLC and Expansions as well as supported languages
.
First we have Just exactly what engine Cyberpunk 2077 will be run on. Now the witcher 3 ran on Red Engine 3, and Cyberpunk 2077 will run on Red Engine 4, an upgraded version of their last red engine. I know a ton of games, don’t update their engines, but Red Engine 4 is the next evolution in CD PROJEKT RED’s lineup.

Next up is if there will be tattoos and piercings. There will be a multitude of customization options and we do see tattoos, and piercings. There is a slider with tattoos including this MAX TAC Forever tattoo and in the gameplay reveal you can pick 10 preset locations, the color of the tattoo as well as the glow color.

Piercings are also available in this menu, although we don’t get to see what options we have. We’ll probably get more traditional spots and jewelry, as well as some fancier more punk types of piercings.

Next up we have damage and damage types. I’ve seen some questions about only seeing physical damage in the demo, and if there will be additional types such as energy based weapons. Whilst weapons will fall into tech, power and smart categories, weapon damage specifically will be either Thermal, EMP, Physical and Chemical. We can see these damage types after we use our Kiroshi optic to analyze targets weaknesses and our Samurai jacket has resistances to these specific types of damage.

Next we have a detail about companions. We mentioned companion systems in part one, but a question that has been asked is if Jackie specifically changes based on what sex of character we personally choose in our playthrough. If we choose a male, Jackie stays male and the interaction between Male V and Jackie will be different.
Now female companions will be featured in the game, so worry not about diversity there.

Next question is when did production actually start on the game, and what is CD PROJEKT RED’s Marketing plan. Contrary to what many believe, full production started only after the Hearts of Stone Witcher 3 DLC was released. This means that CD PROJEKT RED has only been in full production of the game since 2015, making 2019 the 4thyear they have had full focus on 2077.

Marketing and planning is not done on the fly and is instead carefully crafted before-hand. The promotional campaign is already fully planned out and will rely on the best element, surprise. We’e already seen this with the surprise of the gameplay demo which we got hit with out of the blue.

Next is a question about running the game on the base model of the xbox one and PS4. It Seems like a lot of people are worried that they’ll need to upgrade to an Xbox one x and PS4 pro. Check out this recent tweet where CD PROJEKT RED says any PS4 will do when looking to run the game.

Next is Progression and what avenues we can take to level up and increase our characters stats. Now there are a variety of different attributes you can assign points into. As you level up, you can put more points in whatever respective attribute you want to increase based on how you want to play Cyberpunk 2077. You can also increase these attributes by installing and upgrading your body cybernetics and cyberware. Skills which are in different trees, are increasing by successfully performing actions like hacking, crafting and by using everything from melee to ranged weapons. Perks that your character can use are unlocked via Street cred, which is obtained through missions and sidequests . General XP is gained through actions throughout the world.

Next we have concern over politics being in the game. Now The genre of Cyberpunk by nature is layered in political and social commentary. That’s kind of the whole the point of the genre of Cyberpunk. This does mean indeed that politics will be involved in the game. Cyberpunk is about people at the top amassing all the power, and everyone else being filth and struggling in poverty. CD PROJEKT RED will not be shying away from this due to the genre being inherently political, and the franchise will follow suit.

Next we have if we can expect the same policies of Free DLC and Expansions like TW3. We’ve seen their stance on this when they say “Expect nothing less than what you got with the witcher 3 when it comes to DLC and Free expansions. As for DRM, CP2077 will be 100% DRM free on PC, meaning you will not need an internet connection and you could theoretically pirate the game, although I’ll always advocate against that, especially if you want to support a great developer.

Finally we have What languages will be supported in Cyberpunk 2077? So far we have English, polish, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Portuguese, Hungarian, Czech and Arabic.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Epic Store & Gameplay Details!

In todays Cyberpunk 2077 News + Details video we have Epic store exclusivity, PAX + E3, Gameplay details about Cyberware, mods and mod support, character and story details, morality meters, Collectors editions, Clubs and Bar and Cyberpunk 2077 and CD PROJEKT RED’s development team size vs The Witcher 3.

First up we have the official Cyberpunk 2077 twitter page tweeting out some new designs and art.

Next we have details about the epic launcher. Now we don’t know anything about the PC version other than the fact that it will be on PC, but it seems CD PROJEKT RED has indeed shot down the idea that it will be an epic store exclusive. To be honest, we knew this was coming because CD PROJEKT owns GOG.com, a digital distribution platform for games and films, and it will most likely launch there as well as Steam.

Next we have just how many people are working on the project.
Now we’ve known these numbers loosely for some time, but we finally have concrete details that the team that is bringing us Cyberpunk 2077 is 60% bigger than the one that gave us The Witcher 3. The workforce numbers are in the 400s with a big jump in employees from the 250 working on The Witcher 3 at it’s peak.
Next We have a couple of details including gameplay demo and collector’s edition plans. In the CD PROJEKT RED and Cyberpunk 2077 forums, we had a question by a forum member who wanted to know if we were going to get a demo limited to one area of the map, much like what we saw in the 48-minute demo. Now we did get an answer and It seems like this is something they are not looking into at the moment. This has been asked a couple of times, so there’s your answer for those that are curious.

Next we have collector’s edition plans. This was via the Cyberpunk 2077 twitter where someone asked if collectors editions will be exclusive to PC, since this is a trend that is starting to emerge with some developers. We have confirmation here that when and if they do come, they will be on PC, X1, and PS4.

The next question is in regards to a morality meter and if it will be available. This was asked in the Cyberpunk forums, where it was answered with “We won’t do any arbitrary morality meter for cyberpunk. We try to handle these things in a more organic way, by tracking choices and how those choices affect people around you. A ganger in the city wouldn’t care if you told a fixer to take a hike but maybe the fixer remembers or the ganger and fixer are buddies in which case new situations will arise. We want to keep it as true to real life as possible.”

We also have questions on Mods and mod support, to which CD PROJEKT RED responds that they are focusing on making the game for now, but potentially later. We also have another detail from a while ago that we haven’t really talked about in Harvesting implants. It seems we won’t be able to harvest implants from dead NPCs and we’ll have to go to our ripperdocs to upgrade them.

Next we have CD PROJEKT RED winning accolades of Best developer at the Steam Awards 2019. Adam Badowski head of studio and game director of Cyberpunk 2077 responded with a brief video and mentioned that whilst being named best developer is an honour, it’s also a responsibility to always go the extra mile and put more love into everything they do, and promises that everyone on the team is super hard at work to make Cyberpunk 2077 a quality release.

Next we have PAX EAST. Let’s look into upcoming PAX East in March which is only 45 days away. Now Back in 2015 The Witcher 3 had a presence at PAX 2 months before it’s 2015 release and before 2015’s E3. Now look at just how much we got from The Witcher 3 when PAX East finally hit. New gameplays, interviews, details and more.

PAX and E3 are big for video games in general and for that I’d say those are two shoe-ins to see new details from Cyberpunk.

Next we have some new Cyberpunk world building details from the makers of Cyberpunk 2077’s source material. Here we have details of Bars in the world of CYberpunk, so let’s look at the Night City specific ones and what we may be seeing in 2077.

First we have Club Atlantis, which occupies the top 3 floors of the piper memorial sports arena.

Next we have Forlorn Hope, founded by John “The Professor” Freeman. This is a bar frequented by veterans of the central American war. Now If you guys watched the last Johnny Silverhand video I made, we made mention of him being a Central American vet, so maybe this is a place he’d go to. Many of its patrons are former soldiers looking to get back in the biz and the bar itself doesn’t advertise.
Since there are a lot of soldier, mercenaries and solos, the Professor runs a safe house for those who are on the verge of Cyber-psychosis and need a place to lay low, detox and get some help.

Finally, we have the coolest Bar in my opinion called The Black Hole which takes place in earth’s orbit on the Crystal Palace. This is a fancy orbital habitat with wealthy and influential residents.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Johnny Silverhand & Rockerboys!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video we will be talking about Johnny Silverhand, Rockerboys, Samurai + How it started, the rockerboy class and Johnny Silverhands involvement with Samurai as one of the most famous Rockerboys in Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk 2077.
Rockerboys are a class in Cyberpunk who use music in combination with a rebellious attitude to fight authority. Rockerboys live for rock and roll and are modern day street poets who have the ability to spread their ideals, music, lyrics and message to everyone. In a world where corporations rule with an iron fist, Rockerboys who are at the top of their game have a surprising amount of power and are able to amass followings to take down corporate giants and lead armies and troops onto the streets to fight the system. Rockerboys don’t care about the repercussions of what they are saying in their lyrics. They spit in the faces of those abusing power, and they’ll do it with a smile. We won’t be able to be a Rockerboy in 2077, but you can bet we will run into Rockerboys and girls through our adventures in Night City.
Powerful rockerboys of the past in the world of Cyberpunk include Bob Dylan, Springsteen, The Who, Elvis Presley and The stones.
Now not all Rockerboys and girls are musicians. They can also fall into the subsections of Street poets, performance artists, social leaders and politicians.
Street poets are the most similar to their purely musician counterparts, but they use their words and only their words propelled by their deliveries, and theatrics to fire up the public.
Performance artists make impressions and a statement using plays, skits, and visual presentations before their public audiences.
Social leaders are charismatic rebellious higher ups who are on the front line in the war against the greed and bloodlust of megacorporations. With charismatic presentations, they stimulate movements and social change. Malcom X, Martin Luther King, Che Guevera are just some examples of this archetype.
Politicians of the rockerboy variety are not corrupt or selfish in their pursuits. Crusading heroes like JFK and Winston Churchill are your role model as a Rockerboy politican, and your main focus is to righteously serve your people.
Rockerboys have special skills in general including the ability to brawl, play instruments, be streetwise, theatrical performances, and can be very persuasive and seductive. Their special Ability stemming from the original table top game is a skill called Charismatic Leadership.
Johnny Silverhand is a famous Rockerboy singer and guitarist known for his silver-chrome Cyberarm. He is also a ex-Central American vet with a history of failed relationships. Silverhand opposes Arasaka Corporation for a variety of reasons from the loss of his arm to the death of many of his close friends. Now Johnny Eventually went on to produce a solo album, but before that he was a part of a rockband named Samurai featuring Kerry Eurodyne on vocals and guitar, denny as a drummer, Nancy / Bes Isis as the keyboardist and Henry on bass guitar.
Samurai was first discovered in 2003 by Jack Masters, an executive at Universal Music after seeing their performance at a bar called the Rainbow Cadenza, a backstreet bar in Night City.Their first single was Blistering Love and was a hit skyrocketing to #1 on the EuroCharts. Samurai’s first Album was called A Cool Metal Fire and featured Dancing With My Axe, Never Fade Away, Out of the City and the song we hear in the gameplay demo, Chippin In’ This presumably means that we will be hearing all the other songs on this album in the full release of Cyberpunk 2077. Samurai makes another appearance in the form of a Samurai jacket in the gameplay demo.
Samurai eventually split up in 2008. The catalyst to them parting ways was Nancy going to jail for seven months after she threw her abusive husband out the window of an 83rd story apartment. The band supported her through this time, but creatively they all drifted apart to do their own thing.
Henry ended up moving on to work on a human interface prototype, but an accident friend his brain and he had to rebuild his mind.
Denny joined a Band called Mastermind and Nancy become a major media presence on Network 54, a prolific news station in Night City.
Johnny Silverhand and Kerry Eurodyne both ventured off into solo careers, often performing and touring together.
After Samurai split up however a media corporation called Diverse Media Systems attempted to sign Johnny Silverhand by any means necessary. This included threats, violence and blackmail. They discovered the ex-Central American vet was actually a deserter who left the USMC whilst still serving in the central and south American wars.
Silverhands first solo album, Sins of your brothers was released in 2009 and included songs that explained the reality of the wars, governmental lies, experimental cybernetics programs for soldiers and his pwn actions when he was involved.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Details You Missed! (Part 2)

Today we have another Cyberpunk 2077 details you missed + analysis video and a follow up to something we’ve done in the past, with another 7 Details you missed from the gameplay demo. This is part of the Cyberpunk 2077 Details you missed series, which will include some hidden things in the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay reveal

Number 1 is an easter egg of sorts in the Scavenger lair. As a firefight erupts and we take refuge behind one of the barricades to heal up, we see some notes posted on the side of the wall we are crouched next to. If we flip this area and zoom a little bit we see this hand written note a little more clearly. On this note we see a quote that speaks to CD PROJEKT REDs philosophy for the narrative of the story of Cyberpunk. It read s ‘Friends will help you ease the pain, but at the end of the day you have all the control of your life”. This kind of runs parallel with the philosophy of cyberpunk in that there is no saving the world, just yourself.
Next we have something we’ve pointed out before. Remember Sasha Devon? The cyborg with the 3 mouths that we speculated was a sex robot of some sort maybe working a red light district and was famous? Well it seems like the sasha devon experience, is an experience after all, but a braindance one. We can speculate this because it has a BD logo on the bottom right hand corner. Now there are some other ads that we’ve seen that have this BD logo, and to be honest im surpriesde I missed it, so I think I might have to go back to my ripper doc and replace this faulty Mark 1 he gave me.
Next we have some details about the mantis blade schematic in the Ripepr doc clinic. Mantis blades are those arm scythes that seem to be a favorite of Cyberpsychos in Night city. Now we’ve all seen how discrete these blades are due to them poppin out of the forearms, but if you look closely it’s pretty easy to tell that someone has them based on the carved out patterns on their skin. As we zoom into the schematic however, it shows just the alloy and steel of the blades. This is where we see the military grade RealSkinn technology option, that helps you disguise your cybernetics. Infact, the scavenger boss uses real skin to cover his face plating according to this frame by frame series episode.
RealSkinn is the most expensive kind of covering option and is a flexible plastic that looks like skin with follicles, hairs, small scars and imperfections and has a 75% chance of passing as a meat limb to all but the closest of inspections..
Chroming of the limbs is the cheapest option of covering and can be used to tint your cyberlimbs with silvers, golds and other colors, which isn’t the most useful if you want to be discrete.
Next we have an insight into some of the Cyberware we see when Sandra Dorsett is having her Virus shard extracted by V, Jackie and TBug. In the biomoinotr panel we see a cyberware device known as an internal med pump. This is a device which disperses meds upon distress or anything vital to the user no matter how dire the situation. The closest equivalent from the lore seems to be any of these automedics or autodocs and can carry a variety of different drugs and options inside. Basic automedics carry 3 drugs whilst advanced ones carry 5. Now this isn’t confirmed to be the equivalent, and the Internal pump could be a new device for 2077, but the research I’ve done doesn’t show any device with exactly that name.
Next we have the appearance of Contacts similar to the GTA series. After Dexter DeShawn gives us our briefing and out mission objectives, we see Militech agent Meredith Stout via the projection and a Contact added pop up. We see later on in the demo, we have the ability to call up Stout and plan the meeting, and later still there is a menu where we have a social or contacts added area. It seems we can add contacts directly through shards, and contacts and phone numbers will play a big part of the game. At the point in the story where the demo takes place, we’d most likely have Jackie, TBug, Victor, DeShawn, Meredith and others on speed dial. I’m not sure if we will have gangs as contacts added but I don’t see why not. This gives us the possibility that Everyone that can be interacted with in the demo, can be called on the fly, again similar to the GTA series.
Next we have Jackie and some of his jewelry. We can see he likes gold from his kitted out gold pistols to his bracelets and necklaces, but upon further inspection we see that one of his necklaces is actually a cross. Now religion in world of Cyberpunk has fallen to the wayside somewhat, and fringe religions have gained in popularity whilst many of the bigger religions have taken steps back. Atheism is theoretically popular as people would turn their backs on religion in the pursuit of accelerated science and cybernetics.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Technology Explained! (Cyberware, Robotics, The Net!)

Today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video will include Braindance, Augmentations, Cyberware, The Net, Drugs, Robotics and Drones, AI’s and all the Technology of the world of Cyberpunk 2077 explained! We’ll be looking into all this high end Technology in the world of Cyberpunk 2077 and Night City to see just how advanced society has become.

First we have Robotics and drones. In 2077 society is highly dependant on drones and robotics – from live-feed camera drones to sparring bots to giant warehouse and contruction machinery. In the world of Night city trash collectors and robotic street sweepers are automated. From top of the line to slapped together from street scrap, robotics are fundamental to every single aspect life from the economic sector to infrastructure management. In fact most public transporation in Night City is automated. Trains and buses are entities on their own, able to communicate with each other with deep nueral networks that can learn and improve efficiecny.
In the gameplay demo and e3 trailer we see examples of these robotics in action as we see these sparring robots, used for training fighters, as well as a Militech drone used to scout areas with its aerial eagle-eye vision. It seems the militech drone can also scan targets much like our kiroshi optic to analyze targets.
The metro or Night City rapid area transit is a huge part of the world and these types of transporation are autonomous.
Next we have Cyberware.
Cyberware are pieces of technology that can be implanted into a human being, from a biomonitor to regulate ones own body, to advanced thermoptics and vision, to lethal cyberlimbs and weapons.
Examples of Cyberware include Cyberlimbs, Cyberaudio, Cyberoptics, fashionware, neuralware, linear frames, exotics and interfaces.
Bioware is a style of ware that is very similar to Cyberware, but with the distinction that it is based on biology rather than electronics or mechanics. Bioware can have non organic components, but it is used to enhace a biological function, instead of replacing it with technology. Body plating and bioscultping can create a resistant or better looking body, by shifting muscle and bone, or grafting on animal skins and components.
Nanotechnology is a type of bioware which include Enhanced antibodies which can cut healing times in half, toxin binders which bind to poisons and boost your resistance to them and nanosurgeons which are deployed inside your body to repair any physical damage you may receive. Medically, the world of Cyberpunk is incredibly advanced and factions like Trauma Team can bring you back from the edge of death with some of this tech.
In the demo we see the fact that Sandra Dorset has a biomonitor, an internal Cybernetic which monitors our vitals.
Next we have Braindance (Virtual Reality), Drugs and Combat Drugs.
Braindances are digital recordings that allow you to experience all the stimuli associated with every action the recordee undergoes.
Everything from brain activity to moror patterns are experienced by the user. Braindances are virtual reality on steroids and can be streamed to your neural system via a special augmentation called a BD player. Braindancing leads to high levels of addiction in Night City. This is the future of dream like experiences.
Drugs and Combat Drugs in Night City are more prolific and pronounced than ever before. Kerenzikov reflex boosters change the battlefield around you as you can use it to perform killing blows by controlling time and space around you.
There are other drugs in the world of Cyberpunk though. This includes Aphrodisiacs, Recreational Drugs, Cool and intelligence boosters, stims, tranquilizers and more.
There are a ton of drugs, so we are going to go through the most unique and interesting ones from each subsection.
Let’s start with some of the more unique recreational drugs. Some of the old reliable reactional substances like Alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, cocaine and heroine are still available, but drugs have much more advanced chemical compositions.
Next we have The Net, Netrunning, Cyberspace and AIs.
The net is a vast telecommunications network that joins all of the computers and telephones on Earth. In the late 20th century the only way you could enter the net was through a computer and a modem, but in the world of Cyberpunk, you can enter the net directly. You can do this using your brain, interflace plugs, cyberdeck and an interface program that turns computer data into 3 dimensional environments and events.
AIs are present in the world of Cyberpunk, although most of them reside in The Net. Some are created by corporations, some are accidents and some are spawned by the infinite nature of The Net.
Finally we have the superfuel of the future. It’s referred to as CHOOH2 in the demo and based on the history of Night City was developed by megacorporations to replace gasoline and diesel fuels as the leading combustible fuel.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Movies, Games & Books To Check Out Before 2077!

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video I wanted to focus specifically on games, movies, and books within the realm of the Cyberpunk genre that you can dive into to learn more about the world of Cyberpunk and to ready yourselves for Cyberpunk 2077 and to be an expert in the world of high tech and low life based on these movies, games and books.
First let’s look at some Cyberpunk movies, and start with what I like to call the big 3.
First we have Bladerunner and Bladerunner 2049. Now the original is loosely based on a book we will get to later on, and is set in the Dystopian future of Los Angeles in 2019, where replicants, or synthetic humans are bio-engineered by the Tyrell corporation for manual labor in off-world colonies. When a group of repliants have decided they’ve had enough and go rogue, Rick Deckard whose role is a Bladerunner is tasked to track them down to retire them.
Blade runner 2049 follows a replicant Bladerunner named K (the lovechild) and is set 30 years after the events of the original. He unveils a secret about replicants that will change the dynamic between humans and replicants.
Next we have Ghost In The Shell, one of my personal favorite Cyberpunk films. This 1995 anime focuses on Major Kusanagi as a cyborg created by law enforcement and working for section 9 to track down a Cyber terrorist looking to threaten the world. This movie explores what it means to be human much like Bladerunner, but in a more philosophical way with Major seeking what differentiates herself from her fellow human beings.
Next we have Akira a 1988 film with animations that still impress to this day. Akira takes place in 2019 in “Neo-Tokyo” after it has been rebuilt post-cataclysmis event. It is a place plagued by corruption, anti-government protests, terrorism, and gang violence. This tells the story of Kaneda the leader of a local biker gang whose childhood friend Tetsuo gets into a biking accident and is endowed with telekinetic powers.
Next we have another one of my favorites Dredd. Now 2077 takes a lot of inspiration from Dredd, from the megabuildings to even similarities in over the top cheese humor contrasted with darkness and despair.
Dredd takes place in Mega-city one, a violent metropolis with 800 million residents and 17,000 serious crimes reported daily. It follows Judge Dredd who is a law enforcement agent and given complete power to be Judge, jury end executioner when dealing with the rampant gang problem within Megacities and megastructures. Judge Dredd is tasked with training an Apprentice Judge Anderson, and things go south when they have to deal with a drug gang held up in a Megabuilding named Peach Trees. They are a gang led by previously mentioned Ma-Ma who deals a new insidious kind of drug called Slo Mo, which is essentially a kerenzikov reflex booster from 2077.
Next we have Total Recall. Now this is a movie release in 1990 and subsequently again in 2012 as a reboot, but the original one in my opinion is better. It follows a Construction worker Douglas Quaid, who keeps having nightmares and visions about mars and a mystery woman. IT devolves into Quaid finding himself stuck in the middle of a conspiracy against him by corporation Rekall who develops implant memory chips as a service.
Next we have games you should play to prepare for 2077.
First we have the Deus Ex series. Largely touted as the best Cyberpunk game that we’ve gotten over the years, this game takes place during the 21st century, and focuses closely on a conflict between secretive factions like the Illuminati, Majestic 12 and Knights Templar who want to control the world, and how advanced augmentations and technologies change the way the covert war between these secret factions and a task forces erupts. It follows main protagonist Adam Jensen.
Next we have Observer. Observer is set in 2084 in Poland after a digital plague wipes out thousands of people and results in rampant wars and drug use. It follows a detective named Daniel Lazarski, who is an Observer. An observer is someone who can hack peoples minds using a device called the Dream Eater to interrogate them as well as a vision mode to investigate his surroundings. It has a really dark and insidious aesthetic, and again people who lean more to the horror side of the genre will enjoy this.
Next we have Detroit Become Human. It follows 3 androids and their personal decisions in a world where a large disparity between these androids and himans exist. You gather clues with augmented vision modes, and the story branches out depending on what choices you make. The game has a really clean look, and might be a nice time pass for those who enjoy flowchart narratives.
Finally we have some books and literature that you can read if you want to indulge in the world of Cyberpunk…

Cyberpunk 2077 News – New Hirings & CD Projekt Red VS Blizzard

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 news video we are going to be talking about some big moves that CD PROJEKT RED has made with New Hirings, how it relates to another studio in Blizzard entertainment, New hires and potential hires for CD PROJEKT RED, soundtrack details, some Countdown to the dark future tidbits including cyberware for animals, trauma team and the people of night city.
First up in this news episode we have some new details when it comes to CD PROJEKT RED’s staff.

First we have Creative director and writer Sebastian Stepien leaving the CDPR team to pick up a job with Blizzard studios, according to his Linked In Profile. Sebastian worked on The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, with his role in Cyberpunk 2077 being a narrative and setting director. Now CDPR has seen a lot of changes within their network as Associate design director Kyle Rowley has left and Manuel menulice has come in as a former level designer of games like Rime. The studio has also recently been making multiple job listings for cinematic directors, lighting artists, environment artists and even recently Game Programmer

Now Sebastian leaving, can be taken as a good and a bad thing. In one sense, we know his role on Cyberpunk 2077 is done, and that being a big chunk in the writing and creative direction means that we can forecast the game is moving a long nicely.

Regarding other changes within the network, my thoughts are they are future proofing their staff with new add ons, implementing these new pick ups into DLCs, and even designating some of these on the multiplayer aspect which is still in research and development and needs the additional firepower this new workforce will bring. If you guys are stressing out, don’t because this is normal and this doesn’t necessarily mean, that there are delays. In fact, CDPR employees have said that they are on track, presumably with their internal release date they have set within the studio.

Next we have Some soundtrack details via the CD PROJEKT RED and Cyberpunk 2077 forums. We have this via Marcin Momot who responded to a Cyberpunk 2077 Soundtrack thread where people were posting songs they thought would fit into the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Within the first pages, Marcin responded to a poster who said “I hope they take these into consideration” twith the statement “We will”. Funny enough, he responded later with “A lot of the music that had been posted was off, and that people would be surprised by what they are creating”. I know a lot of people are expecting Synthwave since it’s almost quintessential Cyberpunk, but again the music will be created in house. If you guys are unaware, synthwave is a genre of electronic music influenced by the 1980s most from films and video games.
Synthwave cover art generally features retrofuturism which draws in a lot of elements of 1980s and 190s sci fi like Cyberpunk and guys like Pertubator have kind of spearheaded the cyberpunk synthwave movement. We know the music will be experimental in nature and offer both Grimey, and raw electronica and the punk and rebellious tones of songs from Johnny Silverhand and Samurai .
Next we have some awesome CountDown To The Darkfuture episodes by RTalsorian games, which expand our knowledge on the world of Cyberpunk in a short and concise write up. Recently they’ve had details about Trauma Team, The people of Night City and Cyberware. Keep in mind these are for Cyberpunk 2020, but they do have implications for 2077. In episode 16 of the countdown We get some information about Trauma team. According to this TT are headquarted in LA and have a workforce of 17,000 strong. Each unit consists of a senior medtech, driver, assistant and two security officers. The Trauma team travels in a AV-4 Urban Assault Aerodyne loaded with advanced medical technology including a mobile cryotank.
Next we have some pretty cool cyberware details in episode 27. According to this one animals can be fitted with cyberware as well as people. Dogs are the most common type of cyberpet, but theres also horses, primates, sharks and even bats. You can augment your pets to include sensory boosts, berserk chips for a frenzied attack modes, cyberweapons and more.
Next we have details on the people of Night City. From the top of the foodchain to the bottom we have Powerdealers who are elite CEOs and celebrities, Corpzoners which are executives at the top of the game, and movers who are ambitious young corps looking to clim the ladder.
In the middle of the food chain we have Edgerunners, who are Cyberpunks looking to make some extra coin in whatever way they can. We also have mallplexers, who are the struggling middle class.
At the bottom of the food chain we have Beavers, who are low level corp managers, and streetscum the urban poor of night city.
Next we have Hollie Bennet as a new hire for CD PROJEKT RED’s UK PR Manager position. She comes from Playstation All Access team, which is a group that covers everything Playstation.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Gangs! (Lore Explained!)

In today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video, we’ll be looking at all Gangs & Explaining them better. From Combat gangs, to the Maelstrom & Valentinos, to Braniacs and Prankster gangs, to the Sacred Blades & Slaughterhouse, we will explain all prolific Gangs in Night City.
First lets take a look at what kind of archetypes gangs can fall into, since there’s quite a few of them.
First we have Chromatic metal gangs. Now chrome gangs like their entire lives to revolve around music and their favorite rock bands, and take their lyrics very seriously, usually following everything said by these bands as gospel.
Next we have combat gangs. Combat gangs typically follow what’s called the warriors code which involves combat rituals, ranking, gang hierarchies and heavily fortified body armor.
Next we have Cult gangs. Now these are generally made up of youth and younger members, who are extremist in nature.
After that we Family or Familial gangs. These feature older and younger members with the older members providing and protecting for the group and the younger members stealing and slinging drugs on the street.
Party gangs are pretty self explanatory. They party, drink lots of Night citys beverage of choice smash, and take and deal drugs.
Prankster gangs are some of the more interesting gangs in Night City. They are centered around playing practical jokes on one another.
Next let’s move onto some of the gangs we’ve seen thus far in some of the gameplay footage we’ve seen.
Lets start with the most obvious in the Maesltrom gang. The maelstrom gang fall under the category of Combat gang in 2020 lore, but are often refered to as a Psycho gang in 2077 due to their affixiation with cybernetics. Almost a third of of their memebers are on the edge of CYberpsychosis and another third are clinical cyberpsychos. Braniacs are a gang in Night City that value skill chips over any other types of cyberware.
Next we have the Valentinos. Now the meme potential for this gang is pretty high up there, as they are a poser gang dedicated to seducing the most attractive women in Night City. The more of a challenge, the better and more invested Valentinos members become in pursuing a woman. They meet 4x a year to compare conquests and are generally harmless. Now this can be seen in Cyberpunk content we’ve seen so far when it comes to Jackie. It seems like Jackie has a Valentinos shirt in the demo and from screenshots, and we can also see the Valentios logo on his jacket, as he rips some dudes optic out of his head. We know this is Jackie because of the hair, jewelry on his wrist as well as the tattoos.
Next we are going to talk about some of the gangs we know a fair bit about from Cyberpunk 2020 lore, and although we haven’t seen them in 2077 as of yet, will probably play a big part of its world as well. Obviously their aesthetics will be re-worked to fit the world of 2077, much like the Maelstroms was, so keep that in mind.
First we have the Bozos. This is a predatory prankster gang who have a horrific reputation. About a third of them are in the grip of Cyberpsychosis.
The Philharmonic Vampyres are classified as an arty prankster gang. They are vandals who usually use politically loaded topics in their elaborate pranks as a means to make a social statement.
They have an intolerance for street mimes and this causes them to butt heads with our next Gang the Julliards.
The Julliard is a defensive gang comprised of street performers. Being a street performer in the world of Cyberpunk is even more thankless than it is in our modern society, and they are constantly harassed, attacked and looked down upon.
Their encounters with the Vampyres and Bozos on show nights are not uncommon and usually never end well.
The DJs are a chrome gang filled with talentless wannabe Rockerboys. Most of the members are young and are involved in small time and petty crime. They know a great deal about the rock scene in Night City including where the parties are, how to get cheap tickets etc.
The sacred blades are a combat gang who have a tribal aesthetic and tend to favor machetes and combat knives. The gang features multiple ethnicities and use mind-altering drugs like Peyote.
Next we have the Voodoo boys. Now this gang is a high priority for the NCPD due to the fact that they sell synthetic drugs to university students , as well as their nihilistic and violent tendancies. This includes killing, torture, rape and maiming or dissecting victims
The Back alley brawlers were created in response to a gang called the Slaughterhouse after they went on a massive killing spree in a local subway.
Next we have Slaugherhouse, potentially the worst gang in Night City. Specializing in rippers, vampires and other cybernetic implants that have sharp edges, many of the members will kill at a moments notice due to cyberpsychosis.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Censorship & Its Impact On Cyberpunk!

Today’s Cyberpunk 2077 video is on Sony’s new censorship policies, how it could affect Cyberpunk 2077, what I think will end up happening, if you should jump ship to another platform, addressing the knee jerk response to Censorship, How it can impact Cyberpunk 2077 and the genre, and what you can do to prevent censorship in general.

Now it seems when I brought the censorship issue up last week, people were losing their collective minds based on it and it even lead to others to jump on the topic. If you guys are unaware, Sony is pursuing a new policy with it’s releases when it comes to sexual content. This has caused some titles in the past to be delayed, impacted or even cancelled in some cases. These are policies that are mainly in Japan as of now but Sony seems to have plans to extend this to the west. These policies have seen even “mild games” like this Japanese title censoring bras and panties. It was originally released on the PLaystation Vita with no problems, but upon it’s HD remaster, was treated with lighting effects to censor any sexuality.

Why does this apply and potentially impact Cyberpunk 2077? Firstly, and the more obvious reason is because Cyberpunk 2077 will be releasing on PC, Xbox 1 and Sony’s platform in The PS4.

The other reason is due to the history of Cyberpunk as a genre. Now Cyberpunk is a specific genre which is all about future dystopias, where lack of morals and compassion intersects with expedited and advanced technology. This can be seen in works such as Bladerunner, ghost in the shell, akira, neuromancer and more.

Cyberpunk worlds are a place where everything in it is no longer sacred. No one bats an eye at violence, sex, corruption and solisiptic tendencies. If you peel back the layers of what Cyberpunk is in a nutshell, you get something reminiscent of how we live today. Cyberpunk takes all of that and radicalizes and extrapolates on what we could be, if we are careless with our humanity, morality and technology. The Cyberpunk genre is the distillation of everything filthy and reckless about modern society. It only takes a slightly deeper look to know that Cyberpunk 2077 will be on the far end of the spectrum when it comes to this. The ability to order prositututes via vending machine, theoretical hallucinatory sexual braindance experiences via a woman with 3 mouths, bare breasts and red light districts all play into that. And this could only be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to 2077. This is what they showed the public for the first time. Now I wan’t to make it clear we don’t actually know much about how wide-spread sexuality and violence will be in 2077. We can only make an educated guess based on what we’ve seen.

Now for the average consumer, the genre isn’t something that’s overly well known. Most people will look at it and chalk it up to a futuristic GTA. Take a look at this picture and don’t tell me this isn’t exactly how most people on a surface level are going to look at it. Most of the nuianced things in the genre of CYberpunk go over the head of the average consumer. They think its about cool weapons, fighting against the system and being a sexual deviant, and it is all those things, but the reason is to show you that under the veil of what our world presents you, this future ideal lies indisiously under the surface. This means not having nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, and what not goes against everything the narrative of what Cyberpunk is trying to show you. This potential censorship extends to more than just the nudity.

High tech meets low life is the slogan of the genre of Cyberpunk, and Cyberpunk 2077 seems to be taking that to the max degree. 2077 looks more violent, more crude, more dark and more disparaging than we’ve seen from prior titles, and is looking to push the boundaries of gaming in terms of shock value in the same way Grand Theft Auto did when it was first introduced to the market.

Now what this means, is that new policies that Sony seems to be pursuing, if they go through, will not only fragment the nature of what Cyberpunk is, it’ll also take away from what CD PROJEKT RED is creating.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Frequently Asked Questions! (FAQ!)

In Todays Cyberpunk 2077 video we are going to be answering some of Cyberpunk 2077’s most frequently asked questions, regarding release dates, microtransactions, ciri, 3rd person, sex and relationships, cyber-gwent + mini games & more.
These will give you the scoop and hopefully some clarity about CD PROJEKT RED’s new title Cyberpunk 2077 and hopefully some answers to this FAQ.

As always with the nature of a WIP games, these are subject to change at the discretion of CD PROJEKT RED.

First up we have Release dates and pre orders. There seems to be some confusion about both of these currently, with online retailers like amazon having release dates, and even places like gamestop having cases with Cyberpunk 2077 covers, usually without official cover art. Any release date out there as of now, is a placeholder, used to stimulate pre order sales from that specific online vendor. I know amazon has a release date of DEC 31, 2019, and there is the option to pre order. There is no official release date as of yet, and there are no official pre orders, so be cautious about pre – ordering from online vendors, who are just using these dates to stimulate their own sales.

Next up we have 3rd person perspective. This is probably one of the most asked questions, in my comments section so I thought I would address this. CD PROJEKT RED has stated that they have no plans currently for 3rdperson. Dialogue options will be in first person as well, and the only times we will be able to experience a 3rdperson perspective will be in cutscenes, or as an option with driving. Photo mode will also be coming with Cyberpunk 2077, so you will be able to see your character and their clothes and cyberware more regularly if you utilize this feature.

Get used to 2077 being a First person title, or re-think your purchase as CD PROJEKT RED is firm in their stance on this.

Another popular question is if we will be able to play the entire story mode without adding any cybernetics or cyberware to our characters, and if we will be able to play the entire game without killing any enemies in the same vein as what Deus Ex has offered in the past. Now the amount of times this question has popped up has kind of surprised me as I figured Cyberware is one of the most compelling aspects of playing the game with all the different upgradability paths, but unfortunately you will need BASIC AUGMENTATIONS AND CYBERWARE to progress through the story.
Now whether this means that we only need what was shown to us in the gameplay demo in the weapon grip and optic and nothing more is to be seen, but do not expect to go into Cyberpunk 2077, in the hopes of completing it as a 100% organic human. You will also have to do some killing along the way, so no 100% pacificst playthroughs. When it comes to over-doing cyberware we won’t be able to induce CYberpsychosis with our own personal characters, meaning no cyberpsycho play throughs either.

Next up is if CIri will make an appearance in Cyberpunk 2077. Now if you’ve played the Witcher 3, youll know CIri was in hiding from the Wild Hunt in another dimension. When she comes back and links up with Geralt, she mentions a world where quote “people had metal in their heads, waged war from a distance, using things similar to megascopes” and where everyone had “their own flying ships”, which seems to be a reference to Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City.
Now this got fans into wondering if Ciri will appear in the game, but CD PROJEKT RED are highly against it. Ciri will not be in Cyberpunk 2077 in that sense, but maybe a super hidden easter egg is in the cards. Just don’t expect her out in the open or in the game at all. They are developing a new universe, and with that, they are completely leaving their prior universe in The Witcher behind when it comes to developing the world of Cyberpunk.

Another popular question is just how big Night City is. Now CD PROJEKT RED has addressed this in obviously the city having 6 districts, and mentioning it wont be as horizontally large as The Witcher. The density of all activities in 2077 will be in multiple floor megabuldings. Now vertically, it’s the most expansive game they’ve made. For those worried, CD PROJEKT RED has stated it will feel like a real city, not a miniature one. Now like mentioned before the world can be vertically huge upwards and downwards which hints at underground areas. On a side note the world will have a full day and night cycle, with weather patterns including polluted smog and acid rain.
