Cyberpunk 2077 News – VIBRANT Open World Content, NEW Screenshots, Watson District Lore!

Exciting Cyberpunk 2077 details including just what kind of different open world activities, random encounters, quests and side jobs we can do in Night City, Some beautiful new screenshots from CD PROJEKT RED, some details on the district of Watson with some screens and concept art of this melting pot district, and a ton more unique details you may have missed from previews and hands on events all in todays Cyberpunk 2077 News Video!

Before we get into it check out this response to Kanye Wests announcement that he’s running for presidency by the Cyberpunk 2077 twitter page. As we know Cyberpunk 2077 is based on the source of Cyberpunk 2020 and the dark future, so they decided to respond with “sooo this is how it started” insuniating that a Kanye presidency is this timeline’s beginning of the DarkFuture. Definetly some pretty on brand humor from CDPR, which I think we can all agree was a top tier tweet.

Now First up we have a feature from CDPR on the district of Watson explaining the district where V’s apartment resides as follows. “Watson used to have it all. Nightclubs, skyscrapes, corporate offices, a top-end medcenter – even the biggest black market in Night City. Japanese corporations competinv with Arasaka invested billions of Eurodollars in the district, intending to make it self-sufficent and prosperous.

Everything changed when Arasaka returned to the city after the Unification War. It bled other corporations dry and changed Watson forever.

Today, Watson is a sad and deseperate place. It’s one of Night City’s poorest districts and it’s a battleground between Maelstrom and Tyger Claws.

Maelstrom settled in the Northside Industrial District. It’s filled with factories (most of them abandoned) and working-class apartment blocks. You can also find the well-known Totentanz bar here.

Tyger claws operate from Little China and Kabuki. Little China used to be an extension of downtown; It’s a high density urban region with skyscrapers, overpopulated with Asian immigrants during the late 2040s.

The rest of Watson is the Arasaka waterfront. An area off limits for non-employees.”

Moving on we have some of the open world activities that were noted by Journalists who had a chance to go hands on with cyberpunk 2077. Some play testers wrote down each of the open world elements as a comprehensive list, and although there could be more this is a really good sign to the diversity of things to do in Night city. Going down the list we have Main jobs and side jobs, gun for hire or mercenary quests, search and recovery quests, thievery, agent saboteur and SOS quests, Mercs needed, special delivieries, assaults in progress, Cyberpsycho sightings, clothing sotres, ripperdocs, techies, weapons and gun shops, trainers, foods and restaraunts, bars and other side quests.

During the Nomad playthrough, there was a segment where the Snake Nation was mentioned. Now we know the Wraiths and the Aldecaldos are the nomad factions that have been confirmed for Cyberpunk 2077, but hearing a reference to some of the other Nomad nations might give some insight into them showing up at some point during the game. The snake Nation in 2020 was the largest Nomad nation that was created as a response to the Nomad Movement in North America, led by a man named Freddie Douglas.

Now during the Nomad Lifepath previews prior had mentioned attempting to smuggle something into Night City, which we were for the most part never made aware of as the reader. It turns out this was an Iguana, who are now rare because they had seemingly gone extinct over 30 years ago.
At 26 minutes in, Alanah mentions that a Red had told her about a Forza 4 styled driving build for vehicles.

We’ve all seen the Maelstrom 48 minute demo, and again a Red mentioned to Alanah on her playthrough that there were 7 different outcomes of that particular quest. This is insane for the potential of branching narratives, replayability and repurcussions to your actions. One scenario ended with Militech storming the lair and fighting the Maesltrom as you simply looked on.

Some of the loot included condoms, burritos and handcuffs, and there will be a sell all junk button to streamline the selling process at vendors and stores.

When it comes to Melee and Boxing, there is a questline which starts off with the training robot in your apartment. After you’ve completed that, you will move on to a kind of street brawling tournament which begins with fighting the oscillation sync twins in Kabuki.

There is a TV talk show in the world where ARasaka employees are discussing the morality and ethics of the relic chip. It was allegedly created to house the leader of Arasaka’s consciousness. This explains why Silverhand who died at the hands of Adam Smasher is on the chip, and the end of the Cyberpunk 2020 timeline.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – TONS Of Developer Details! (Perks & Skills, Police, Customization & MORE!)

Night City Wire details continue to trickle with HUGE pieces of info from CD PROJEKT RED. We’ll be going over even more Developer details and information from Polish interviews, interviews with big media, megathreads, and Q&As for today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News video!

Also stay tuned to the end of this video guys we have an absolutely MASSIVE GIVEAWAY worth around 500 DOLLARS up for grabs. If you are a cyberpunk and or table top role playing game fan this is one you are going to want to check out.

First check out this awesome GameInformer cover for July. It features V fixing what seems to be his rocket arm augmentation seen in the gig trailer, in a Heywood bar. Very very cool cover here and there is even a binary easter egg on the bottom which translates to love from CDPR. We also have a new Network News 54 Logo, with the briefing in the back being in reference to a Night City mass shooting. V’s also plugged into what seems to be some sort of charging unit or even potentially a phone. The woman on the right also has a Lizzies tattoo, so there’s the potential shes a Moxe member as well.

We also have a couple of amazing screenshots in GameInformer so soak it all in. The vibe and the aesthetic so far is bang on, and I’m dying to see more.

Next we had some translations from a GRYOnline interview and some details from IGN as they both hosted Pawel Sasko. Now some of the details within this interview that we will skip for this episode can be found in my prior Night City Wire initial coverage, so after you check this one out, go back and watch that one to round off your knowledge on the standout details.

Getting right into it, Pawel mentions that there is a car destruction system to a certain degree, and that yes you can crush and run over other NPCs with these cars.

There is a wanted system in particular similar to GTA, and driving over NPCs will likely issue warrants out for the police to start tracking you. Just as a brief aside, this is a fully fledged RPG and not a sandbox experience like GTA, so the repercussions of doing sketchy things will be much more severe as well get to later in this interview.
Moving on you can pet cats in the game. You can also walk around while in dialogue and other than a few instances you won’t belocked in on what you can look at.
In V’s apartment there is a TV and computer where you can watch shows and check your emails.

You will be able to break into any car, but you will need the proper strength perks to rip open doors or hacking perks to hotwire the car for example.
Night City and the Badlands that surround it will have no loading screens, and the Badlands will be a fully explorable area.
One of the many inspirations of the story was Akira, and Vampire the masquerades bloodlines, and almost every quest in the game tells some part of the worlds story that you live in.
Even the ketchup and mustard bottles belong to the Cyberpunk universe and example given by on how dedicated they are to making everything believable.

Relations between the characters are going to be realistic and will be heavily based on choice. You can have a friendly, hateful, best friend or sexual relation with the NPCs of Night City. They will react to the way you treat them.

You also seem to be connected to the Police system of some kind, and you can scan other NPCs to check what they’ve done and if there is a warrant for them. You can subdue them and the police will take over or you can outright kill them for a bounty.

The police will not see you in every district and in some gangs will be the policing force. The final straw in the wanted system seems to be the Psychosquad which will kill you on sight but you’ll have to do something really heinous for that to occur.

Humanity index is still a thing and you won’t be able to implant yourself with more than a certain amount of cyberware. End game will also act like the witcher where you get warned that you are about to proceed and get locked out of content. You can also decide to not install any implants except the operating system in your body, which might indicate that we no longer need the Kiroshi eye, or the subdermal grip. This was compared to living in New York with no cellphone.

Cyberpunk 2077 X SECRETLAB Gaming Chair!

Thank CD PROJEKT RED for the gift and sending me this Cyberpunk 2077 x SecretLab gaming chair a couple days before it was announced to test it out and show off.

Now you guys probably already know what this looks like overall, but personally when I’m buying a product, I like to see the finer details and get a feel for the material and build quality with some close up shots. With that being said the B-roll in the back will show you those close up details, so you can make a more informed purchase. There is a link in the pinned comment and description for more information and to buy this chair.

Now I have to say coming from a 50-dollar office chair, this was a big step up for me and I was pleasantly surprised. Secret lab has struck a unique niche in the market where it’s on the higher end of quality gaming chairs, but won’t tip the scales into a full on thousand dollar professional office chair.
It’s nice and rigid, and coming from the previously mentioned chair, the bucket seat design seems to be better for my back already. The plush memory foam pillows are insanely soft, although I personally only use the limbar support one.

This chair is an absolute show piece in my room. My room is starting to be pretty cyberpunk centric from some of the products I’ve been sent in the past, but this decisively stands out with it’s bombastic yellow and black front and the giant samurai oni on the back!

Cyberpunk 2077 – EVERYTHING From Night City Wire! Gameplay, Lifepaths, Previews, Screenshots & MORE!

Night City Wire was CRAZY so today I am going to go over absolutely everything about it from what we saw in the first episode and everything that was announced, to what we will see, to a roundup of previews featuring character creator options, skills, lifepath summaries, mission structures, the open world, gameplay, and technical details from all around the web, as well as show 85 new screenshots and compare what we have seen so far with past demos to show you the graphical upgrades.

First up let’s go over what we saw. This first episode for Night City Wire opened up with The Gig trailer showing off Night City at Night in the rain, and our introduction to the opening scenes of Cyberpunk 2077, depending on your Lifepath which we will get into shortly. I do also want to say that I will be doing an extensive analysis of this trailer this weekend so look out for that. For me this was a 10/10 trailer and the graphical improvements and lighting showcased is quite impressive. This is all in game footage, and some if not all scenes are utilizing RTX. This trailer also shows how we will inevitably get the chip for DeShawn before being shot and betrayed by him left to wake up in a scrapyard. Seems this heist mission goes wrong for Jackie and V. Now the chip seems to be in the possession of Arasaka, who are one of the heaviest hitters in Night City. Definitely my favorite part of the showcase.

This is followed by an about the trailer dive with Pawel Sasko, a commentary on the new feature of Braindance, as well as the announcement of Cyberpunk Edgerunners a Netflix series coming in 2022 from Studio Trigger an acclaimed Japan based animation company. I know very little about anime studios but it seems like fans are incredibly pleased with this. Again I will have a frame by frame analysis of this in the coming days. Everything that they showcased here is also part of the prologues and the first few quests. There was also some exclusive Katana gameplay, I’m not sure that was featured in the NCW, but GameStar somehow got some extra footage, and it looks decent from the 5 or so seconds we can see.

Now with episode 1 out of the way, episode 2 will be coming in just a few weeks as per Hollie Bennet, and the 3rd one will be TBD. It seems there are only 3 slots on the Cyberpunk site, so after that we may get marketing drops in other forms.

Moving on we have our preview roundup. I’ve gone over more than a dozen of these written previews and distilled this down into the nitty gritty of customization, the 3 different lifepaths, the gameplay, the weapons and cyberware , the open world, the mechanics, the technical elements and the overall pros and cons I could glean.

Starting off with the tech side, yes Cyberpunk 2077 will utilize DLS 2.0, which is upscaling technology which will help you push higher frames at the same graphical fidelity. Considering how heavy this game must be based on lighting and the world, this is great news for those who want to play with RTX on and soften the FPS blow. Evidently many of the previews who mention RTX say this is one of the best implementations of it, even over standouts like control and metro exodus….

Next up we have the character creator attributes and skills. The character creator was mentioned at being visibly 3x larger than what we saw in the Deep Dive with 252 individual options from nail length to nipple size to even odd eyes with some previewers mentioning black and white hypno eyes and having the option to not have nipples. There were a reported 6 skin types, 35 hairstyles, 17 eyes, 8 eyebrows, 17 mouths, 17, jaws, 17 ears, 8 bits of cyberware or whats likely surface wiring, 9 types of scars, 9 types of tattoos, 11 piercings, 5 types of teeth with someone mentioning pink chompers, 8 types of eye makeup, 5 bits of lip makeup, 3 blemishes, 3 types of nipples, 5 types of body tatts, 3 types of scars, 2 dick types, 1 vagina option, the option to not have anything, dick size options, and 5 types of pubic hair. One of the journalists mentioned creating a character with a tic tac dick and radioactive green pubes. You could also completely randomize your character.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – NEW Gameplay & Trailer Coming, NEW Screenshots & Preview Teases!

TONS of Cyberpunk 2077 News today including NEW Gameplay, Trailer and Screenshots announced, Preview teases from the Hands on event for CYberpunk 2077, and a ton of Cyberpunk goodies that will be dropping soon!

First up check out this epic new piece of art from CDPR in honor of the dragon boat festival. It features V on his Yaiaba Kusanagi, speeding through Night City at Night with some holographic dragons all around him.

Speaking of Screenshots, GOG released a massive library of concept arts, and screens so go check that out. They have snuck in some new images here so let’s take a look at them. First we have my favorites the concept art pieces. These are the interiors and exteriors of the stylistic themes of entropism, kitsch, neo kitsch and neomiltarism.

We also have some incredibly impressive in game advertisements. Again there is a whole department dedicated to the in game ads, to really make them stand out as believable and to show how consumer driven this world is.

We also have a brief look at the Badlands and a trailer home out in the middle of nowhere.

Moving on we have a ton to talk about here mainly preview related as a handful of journalists and big media personalities have taken a first-class ticket to Night City in the form of hands on play-sessions. These sessions seem to last around 4 hours and have taken place on action in areas like china, Poland, and Italy to name a few. These previews will go live after the Night City Wire when the embargo lifts, and our good buddy Andre over at NightCityLife has confirmed that they were not able to capture gameplay.

Seems like the first round of demos will be mainly written content or talking head videos. For those who couldn’t make a physical presence, it’s assumed that they got to play via PC streaming as we’ve seen reds utilizing GeForce Now online and from mentions from the last delay Q&A that streaming the game to the individual was what they are going to do.

The Polish and Chinese booth were shown off, where in the case of the Polish venue we have a ton of interesting movie posters, most of which we’ve seen if you’ve been following the channel for a while with the exception of Wipe Out. You can also see the logo of Night City in all it’s glory hanging off the side of the building. Welcome to the Dark Future embraces you as you enter.

The Chinese booth is a little more subdued, but encapsulates V’s weapon locker from the 2 year old demo. There is some VR equipment in there, spurring rumors of a potential VR port, but based on what CDPR has said in the past it is mostly likely purely decorative.

Now the lucky journalists who have gotten their hands on the demo also received a pretty awesome PR package containing a shirt, backpack and what looks like stickers denoting each of the 3 lifepaths. We have the Nomad, Corpo and Street Kid. Now this is obviously important as I’m fairly sure the demo was heavily lifepath focused as that is in the prologue of the game. The fact that the demo was the character creator as well as the beginning makes me believe that’s the case, which is a smart decision as preview impressions may be vastly different here based on whatever lifepath the player chose.

Obviously full opinions are not to be released until after NCW, but there have been some morsels online which indicate that these demos have been incredibly well received so far. In a tweet from a Chinese previewer he mentions “OMG this game is a miracle. I cant speak about this until the 26th, but hey, this 4 hours playing already made me forget who I am. Just wait” another player from the china booth mentioned that he created a female character with a giant penis.

We also have tidbits from Paris and SkillUp with Paris mentioning that we are not ready for whats coming and a very on brand meme from SkillUp. Again I can’t wait to actually read these full impressions when embargos are lifted.

Moving on we have CDPR announcing a Trauma Team comic series in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics. In a statement on their forumsthey mention that “Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team welcomes you into a world of deceit, greed, and desolation. Nadia, a citizen of Night City and the sole survivor of a failed rescue mission for the Trauma Team International Corporation. After she agrees to continue work for an upcoming extraction mission, Nadia and her new team find themselves in an even more dangerous and life-threatening situation. Soon they’ll discover Trauma Team is not what it seems.

Arriving on September 9th, 2020 assuming no delays this looks like a must have for comic book or trauma team fans. Speaking of Trauma Team a TT statue was also spotted at the Polish venue for the hands on previews. With this paramedical military service being so popular you can expect more products to do with them.

We also do have a cryptic announcement about Secret lab, with a very cryptic tweet.

The Cyberpunk 2077 History & Lore In 5 Minutes!

The history of the Cyberpunk 2077, from Cyberpunk 2020 and Cyberpunk Red to get you up to speed on the state of the word, the US and of course Night City in just a few minutes in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 lore video.

The origins of the Cyberpunk World started with the 1994 crash of the world stock market as a result of European and American stock manipulation by the Gang of Four. This led to The Collapse of the United states in 1996 which was the definitive catalyst plunging the world into a high tech and low life.

During the years of The Collapse, life was pretty rough in the States. The homeless on the street in America had skyrocketed to 21 million, with the technological revolution splitting the classes into the wealthy elite & corporate professionals, and the poor unskilled blue collar workers. THe middle class was all but eradicated during this time, setting the foundation for more despair in the 2000s.

Business sectors and outer suburbs in large cities were the benefactors of increased standards, and were clean, free of crime and poverty and controlled and populated by powerful corporations whose emergence was accelerated by the prior years. The central areas were surrounded by ghettos and combat zones filled with the growing booster gangs and violent factions.

In the midwestern states, small towns were abandoned due to drought, gamine and economic chaos. Farms were bought out by Agri Corporations who took control of the means of production. Freeways inevitably became the battlegrounds for gangs that would travel from city to city to loot anything they could.

Megacities which replaced some small towns and suburbs annihilated in the Collapse became the focal points of society and fervent capitalism helped create a landscape where the megacorporations ruled with nation-like authority. They shaped everything around them and bolstered their interests with armies in their search for utter domination. With the overall prevalence of technology, the only leveler between the street and the skyscrapers was this technology. Cyberware, weapons and resourcefulness was utilized by Edgerunners, Cyberpunks and rebels to stand against these megacorporations.

This was the state of the world before the next radical shift, The 4th Corporate War in 2021. While there had been wars between corporations before, nothing quite compared to the mass scale devastation of the 4th corporate war. An initial confrontation between two aquacorps specializing in underwater shipping and tech, devolved into a conflict between Militech an armaments and security force and Arasaka a security services megacorp out of Japan, as they were brought on to aid in the initial conflict.

Both combatants had a military scale equivalent to smaller nations and moved from pockets of conflict between them, to all over the nation, to space and cyberattacks spurring an effective 3rd world war.

On august 20, 2023 unknown forces detonated a pocket nuke on the upper floors of an Arasaka towers complex in Night City, reducing the central city to rubble and killing thousands of people.

While there were sides who blamed both Arasaka and Militech this was the final straw, as President Elizabeth Kress nationalized Militech, and banished Arasaka with the threats of striking the Tokyo headquarters. Other nations swiftly followed the US’s lead.

The war was over, and for Night City, led to the Time of the Red. Named aptly for the red hue left in the Night City skies post fallout from the debris and toxic smog, this was a period of time in the US and Night City’s history which was categorized by an effort to rebuild. The US has lost much of its world superpower status, but Europe and the Far East had not fared much better. The military that still existed for the US was a combined operations group or COG force, and indication of how emaciated their separate forces were.

President Kress was the only thing holding Night City together, the hardest place hit by the war. 20 Years later there is still damage everywhere. Post-war night city is a wreck, but they are determined to rebuild. An alliance known as the Pacifica Confederation, between Washington, Origins, Idaho, North Cal and BC has allowed Night City to survive as an independent “City state”. Night City has become an entry point for the rest of the world who doesn’t want to deal with the US, as a free trade zone. It is dangerous, nearly lawless and a great place to get a big score.

The 4th Corporate war ended corpo domination, and wounded their infrastructure in a multitude of ways from their net presence to their global transportation means. The corporates however are far from out of the picture.

This has made the corporations even more ruthless in their desire to rise back to power, and they are willing to do anything to do so. In this post-war environment, the Cyberpunks and the Edgerunners have bridged the power gap.

Welcome to the world of Cyberpunk.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – FREE PS5 Upgrade, Delay Q&A & Lore Book Teases!

Next gen consoles and free upgrades, an investors call question and answer period where we learn more about the nature of the delay, and a small teaser of a Cyberpunk 2077 lore book from a German magazine all in today’s Cyberpunk 2077 News video!

First up check out this snippet of a couple of new pages from the World of Cyberpunk lore book to be released when it’s ready. Very interesting details here so let’s go through them. Now this is the best resolution at this point but we will do our best. In the top right hand corner we have what seems to be a Arasaka trooper of somesort. It seems like it’s a mix between this araska security force, with the helmet of the heavier units. We see the wings on the helmet, as well as what looks like a modified SMG, maybe a version of the Kang Tao smart rifle as well as a Katana.

On the left we have an advertisement for budget arms, some of the cheapest weapons in the Cyberpunk lore. (expand). The bottom features the tagline the 2nd amendement is not only for the rich. The second amendement is a weapons vendor in Night City.

At the bottom we have an ad for moor, with the slogan body without limits. Now whats intriguing is that this slogan is formerly of Zetatech in the deep dive, so either they have renamed Zetatech or they have switched this slogan to the tagline for Moore technologoies. They look like they dable in heavy cyberware modifications. Also this strikes me as an akira easter egg or influence.

Finally we have 4 characters at the top. The woman on the top left, looks similar aesthetically to the Nomad female seen in the entropism picture. Cyberarm, tattooed legs and similar clothing. Next to hear again strikes me as a nomad based on hairstyle and their interesting vest. Next to him is a dude rocking some interesting arm augmentations and what may be some mirror shades. Finally, we have what seems to be a member of the wealthy elite, a corpo.

Moving on we have great news from CDPR about Cyberpunk if you are planning on getting a PS5.

In a forum post we have this statement. “We’re happy to confirm that Cyberpunk 2077 will be backwards compatible with both next-gen consoles!

What does it mean? Your PS4 copy of the game will work on PS5 on launch day. And similarly, anyone who buys the game on box One will be able to play their copy on Xbox Series X when the console launches.
At a later date, we’ll also release an upgrade to Cyberpunk 2077, which will take full advantage of the next-gen hardware. Both of these options apply to owners of physical and digital copies of the game and will be available free.

Moving on of course we have recently found out Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed once again, this time an additional 2 months from September 17th to November 19th. To clarify on what all of this means, CDPR opened up a call to investors where they could ask questions about the game, its release, new timelines and additional details.

First when it comes to expansions and multiplayer, expect it to be delayed in proportion to this 2 month delay. Multiplayer was referred to as further away regardless and may be less affected but expect expansions to be pushed to some degree.

When clarifying on what exactly the finishing touches are, and why its been pushed, CDPR mentions that a hell of a lot of small things want to be tweaked and that they are aiming in high quality of not only the big standout features, but also the minutia.

In a question about previews, yes journalists are playing currently and will be posting their thoughts after the embargo lifts on the 25th post Night City Wire. At the moment there is no real idea if this is articles, video content or a mix of both, as only “reading” previews was mentioned.

When it comes to the next gen versions of the game, they are still planned for next year, and they will look better on next gen from day 1.

When asked what part journalists will be playing, CDPR responds with that they will have access to the opening menu, the character creator and will be allotted a time limit. They will be free to do as they please. There will likely also be bugs, but those are aiming to be fixed in the full version as these are only previews. These previews will be streamed to whoever is previewing the game and be PC only.

When it comes to bugs, a mention of characters passing through objects and the day and night cycle once exiting a building being off were some examples they could give us. More specifically if you are in a bar and it’s raining at 4am and you walk outside, for a split second it will be day before night.

When pressed about older consoles such as the base Xbox One being problematic, CDPR respons with optimization is part of the polishing and that they try to push the best visuals from certain machines.

Cyberpunk 2077 Has Been Delayed Again! (November 19th NEW Release Date!)

Cyberpunk 2077 received it’s second delay announcement early this morning (June 18th) a week before the Night City Wire Cyberpunk 2077 Event! Disappointing but seems there is still much work to be done. Cya November 19th!

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Silverhand’s EPIC Concert, New Edgerunners & Updated Q&A!

A trailer for a Microsoft product featuring a look at not only the MASSIVE scale of Night City, but also an insane musical performance, an updated Q&A from CDPR via GameStar and the real translations and facts from some misinformation which has gone somewhat viral, some new characters from the world of Cyberpunk Red, one of which you may recognize, a new partnership for CD PROJEKT RED amongst a couple other interesting things in the world of Cyberpunk, in this weeks Cyberpunk 2077 News!

First up check out this brand-new trailer for the Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Controller where we get a quick glimpse of Night City and an out of control rock concert led by Samurai front-man Johnny Silverhand aka Keanu Reeves. I’m going to play it in it’s entirety for you guys then well do a mini analysis.

So as you can see, it’s a pretty hype trailer which might just feature a story from the Cyberpunk lore first told via Cyberpunk 2013’s Never Fade Away where Johnny Silverhand threw a rebellious concert, and convinced a massive crowd to start a riot and attack Arasaka Corp, whom he has a strong hatred for.

Going along with this same train of thought, CD PROJEKT RED has made it clear that there will be a performance or concert of sorts, similar to The Witcher 3 ‘s Priscilla Performance but on a much more massive scale. This could be exactly what they have planned for this, and with clubs and concerts being so prevalent in the Cyberpunk universe, expect to see more of these performances throughout the game.

We also get to see the density of a section of the city and what a top down view of the map would look like. This map has been confirmed to be Night City, and yes, we finally get to see it at Night, albeit only for a few seconds.
Moving on we have an updated Q&A that was mistranslated last week, with some corrections via Hillanoko. Big shoutout to him for translating a series of GameStar podcasts, and yes it seems unfortunately that the whole summoning programs in Cyberspace was actually in reference to Cyberpunk 2020, and not about the video game 2077. We do however have some fantastic, legit details that we are going to go through.

The first new point here is that despite the fact that people have seen over an hour of gameplay, Pawel Sasko mentions that “players have seen nothing yet” and that devs are able to test the “cook” at home, which is the code for the current build. It’s mentioned that a fair amount of devs enjoy playing the game after work to wind down.

It was also disclosed that certain objects have values allowing NPC’s to listen and or see through them to a certain degree based on the object. Concrete doesn’t let you see through, but if it’s a thinner material, NPCs can hear through it. SO, material can dampen sound and sight based on its own unique values.

When it comes to map Icons CDPR felt like The Witcher had too many points of interest, I’m assuming especially in Skellige which most players did not see, because they want players to have the chance to complete every icon on the map.
When it comes to solving quests, the general philosophy is to subtly lead the player to markers or places and to encourage the player to open their eyes or listen to what is being told instead of a glowing piece of whatever is on the ground.

Moving on we have a correction on NPC routines. There are not 1000 NPC routines like mentioned in the first translation. The actual translation here is that most people will have automated routines from a pool which can divert into branching options. It’s mostly randomized but remains believable.

There were also two standout points that were not mentioned in the podcasts, one being the melee system having an overhaul, and that in Cyberspace we will be able to summon creatures and warriors. These are both again NOT mentioned and thus currently do not represent the game.

Moving on check out some new Cyberpunk Red Edgerunners from RTalsorian, the tabletop RPG company who created the Cyberpunk IP that is being licensed to CDPR.

First, we have Kepler who is a Nomad from a Florida Nomad Pack, who was created with the help of Ashley Sherman.

Next we have Pneumo the Netrunner created with the help of James Young, we have Damian the Techie created with the help of Brian Marquez.

Cyberpunk 2077 News – Senior Quest Designer CLARIFIES Misinformation, New Characters & New Song!

Clearing up some misconceptions about a Q&A Podcast from German Magazine GameStar where there were alleged information on Cyberspace combat, a detail about Night City’s thousands of NPCs, the revamped melee system and more, Cyberpunk 2077’s ratings in the middle east, a new song by samurai, and the Cyberpunk 2077 Limited Edition Console and an awesome add on it comes with all in todays Cyberpunk 2077 News!

First up we have a reddit post which got a ton of traction online and that we actually covered in the past Cyberpunk 2077 Community Podcast. In it the original poster had translated what appeared to be a new GameStar+ podcast featuring Miles Tost and Philipp Weber.

Now GameStar+ is premium paywalled content, and so non-members actually didn’t have access to it, and additionally it was all in German. It was mistranslated, but not before it was picked up by a ton of people including big media outlets.

Now the stand out points from the article were that Cyberspace Netrunning battles would involve summoning RPG-esque creatures, and programs, that thousands of NPCs had daily routines and that the melee system had received a big overhaul. What most people didn’t see however, was Senior Quest designer Philip Weber addressing this information on reddit and twitter as being mistranslated. In a response to a VG247 article containing the misinformation he responded specifically to the Cyberspace battle part as information based on a mistranslation and that it is not correct.

The reddit user directly apologized to Weber to which he responded with no problem at all, just wanted to make sure to clarify so the proper info is out there. I can’t go into detail how these systems actually work, but I am sure there will be more news about Cyberpunk soon with the Night City Wire. SO essentially take all this information from this thread with a grain of salt.
I know we were pretty excited about this info on the last podcast even though we did mention that it wasn’t confirmed, but hopefully battles in cyberspace, npc routines and the melee system are still going to impress however CDPR chooses to implement it.

Moving on we have some updates via the IMDB page for Cyberpunk 2077 on potential new characters. We’ve talked about updates to the IMDB page a couple of times before with characters like Vazquez and Doctor Paradox popping up on the page, but this time we have what seems to be an Asian woman named Wakako Okada played by Ren Hanami as well as Mateo played by Antonio Alvarez. Obviously not much to note about these characters other than they have appeared on the page and may be in the game and that there is quite the cultural diversity so far, which is on par with the diversity we’ve seen so far in 2077 footage.

Moving on we have a brand-new song release from Samurai, Johnny Silverhand’s band in Cyberpunk 2077. This is still as far as I know unlisted on the Cyberpunk 2077 youtube channel, and is named the Ballad of Bucky Rogers? Here’s a snippet of this brand-new rock song by the REFUSED who are creating the music for the fictional in game band.

Next we have a new rating board giving Cyberpunk 2077 the go ahead to be released. The UAE who have historically been pretty harsh when it comes to games ratings did not ban Cyberpunk 2077 from being released their, so for my middle eastern friends you won’t have to jump through hoops to get your cyberpunk fix. This is coming off the heels of the middle east banning the last of us 2. We’ll leave the speculations on why to the community and chalk it up as a win for CDPR’s upcoming title.

Next up we have some news about Stadia. Cyberpunk 2077 will not launch on Stadia, on September 17th and has been pushed back till an unknown date at the end of the year. There doesn’t seem to be an explanation from google either, so if you are a stadia player, that’s a definite bummer. Stadia has been a pretty big failure on google’s end, and I don’t really have faith in the product. If you do own only a stadia but want to play 2077 on release on a budget consider getting a cheap console.

Segwaying nicely here we have the release of the Xbox One limited edition Cyberpunk console that was just released. Not only does it look high tech, but there’s also a ton of easter eggs on the console itself when its under a UV light. Not only does the console look great, but it also comes with a free expansion. Some outlets were mentioning free DLC, but DLC is free for all, so yes the first Cyberpunk expansion that drops will be yours free of cost if you end up picking up this console. Stock seems to be going quickly, so if you get the chance to grab one it might be a good idea.
